Wow... This place was amazing... But it is not a fancy place or upscale for that special occasion. It is just a great place for a meal. You have to order at the cash register, the menu is limited, and the food is served in a to go package. But the folks are super nice and attentive. The food is awesome with big portions. I had never eaten Jamaican cuisine before so they helped me navigate the menu and find the right meal. I had the jerk chicken with the sides of garlic potatoes and rice with peas. There was a lot of food there. The chicken was wonderful a bit spicy but still wonderful. I loved the potatoes and the rice. They don't have fountain soda so I had a Jamaican cream soda. This is a unique place but definitely worth a try...

Brown Stew Chicken. Rice and beans. Cabbage. Mac & Cheese.

Food: 10/10 hands down! Yes, they were out of several things, but they have plenty to offer. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the portion size was insane.

This place was incredible! I think not many people know about this gem! Let's show them some love! Everything was amazing! I got the jerk chicken, fried plantains, and Rasta pasta. I also ordered some bread that was stuffed with meat sorta like an empanada! It was all delicious . I look forward to going back,

Charged $8.74 that I did not agree to. Wow.

Jamamerican Jerk

This has easily become one of my favorite food trucks in town. First of all, we all know that…read moredingy hole-in-the walls consistently provide some of the best food out there. Why would it be any different for food trucks? Don't let this run-down looking RV sway you. The food is top notch and the husband/wife team that run it do it very well. She's from Jamaica and she knows how to cook. He's not and he runs the cash register. The first half a dozen times that I ate at Jamamerican Jerk, I couldn't stray from the Curried Chicken. I love everything about this meal. First of all, the Styrofoam to-go box that it is served in weighs like a bajillion pounds and still only costs $8.50. I don't know of anywhere else that you can get so much food for so little. The meal consists of a hefty chicken thigh and leg, white rice, coleslaw, and corn on the cob. The chicken is so moist and tender that it just falls off of the bone. The corn is cooked ahead of time so it can be a little chewy, but it's still spicy and delicious. I'm not a huge coleslaw fan, but I eat it and I don't dislike it. I strayed last night from my beloved curried chicken, and while it was good, I had regret. I ordered the jerk pork. It was also reasonably priced and was served with beans and rice. I devoured the beans and rice. Needless to say, that will be added to my ordering repertoire. The pork was plentiful and stayed consistent with the large portions that I expected. It was juicy and tasted fantastic. Here's my beef...or pork...or beef with the pork: I don't mind having to trim meat, but when it's served with plastic silverware and in styrofoam, I'd prefer to keep that to a minimum. Not in a snobby way, it's just a pain that I'd rather not deal with. I've tried the potato salad and it's good. It's weird because it's served warm and looks more like lumpy mashed potatoes, but it tastes traditional. The jerk chicken taco boats are tasty, but seem to be the least bang for your buck on the menu.

It's nice to have something different 'round here. Jamamerican misses it when it comes to their…read morerice and beans which is starchy and tastes like it comes from a package and its warm potato salad which has a filmy flavor. But! I really like their curry chicken. It's marinated in rich flavors with a thick soupy broth. yum! If you always get the jerk chicken just try something different instead and get the curry. You'll love it. Oh, and get a festival too. Best described as a cornmeal vanilla donut..I could have eaten hundreds of these little guys. oh it's good!
