I chose the oxtail with cabbage and rice (and beans?). Even though I ordered for dine in, I received my order in a to-go container. The oxtail was tender and tasty - lots of little bones, so beware. The star on my plate was the cabbage!! So flavorful and tender. The rice was quite dry - needed more gravy. I went for the first time. There is plenty of parking. There is a dine-in area. The food is out, cafeteria style. I was a little disappointed. There was no jerk chicken at 5pm. I got chicken patties that appear to be fried. They were not good and were not at all flaky and more like doughy. Didn't eat them. I didn't check before I got home so I will take the loss. Not sure if I will return. I know they are getting started so may try one more time. Glad I'm headed to NYC for authentic homemade patties soon. At first I loved the flavor of the chicken curry, but I quickly learned that the dish was FULL of chicken bone shards. Awesome spot in Redbank, the owners are super sweet and you can tell take great pride in their food. I got the jerk chicken wings with rice as well as some mac and cheese. When it was being made for me they said I had to get some ox tail gravy on top as it is the only way to eat it. Boy were they right, it was so flavorful and delicious I was almost licking the plate. This is the best Mexican restaurant in town! It's new to Hixson TN, but I can't say enough good about it! The Texas Margaritas are the best! The food is terrific, with many choices, and I haven't tried anything I don't love in the 5 times I've been here. They have the best rice I've ever had in any restaurant! This was so good! We got to try a sample of everything because it was our first time and we settled on jerk chicken and ox tail curry. Both were delicious and were served with such good sides (peas & rice and calaloo for one plate and cabbage and fried plantain for the other). We also got a beef patty and it was delicious. My ratings are always based on the food only, but the service was also really good. Had a taste for Caribbean food found this place near by. 1st red flag was that they didn't have stew chicken, then I noticed on the menu as a side they had "rice and beans" not "pea's and rice". The place is like a culinary school version of authentic Jamaican food.. I also got a couple beef patties and they were super dry. Never again! Save your money read more

I will start with great food. I would have went 5 stars but cost thru it into a 4 star experience. We ordered the Ox Tail meal with 2 sides. We got the rice with peas and the cabbage, it was delicious. We ordered 2 additional sides, the greens and mac and cheese. The greens, called Callaloo were very good, but the Mac and Cheese was not anything to write home about. The sides were not huge but average. The price of a side averaged $7.50 ea, Ouch, just a little high i thought. We also had a beef patty and a chicken patty. We did add 1 drink to the order and the total was $60.00. A bit on the steep side I thought but hey the food was great. Will I go back? Sure I will but probably not as often as I would if the prices were more reasonable.
