Just before 5:00 PM. That is how timing works when you are on the road. So the place was nearly empty. They weren't busy with customers. They were busy chatting amongst themselves. As we completed our fried chicken (still very good), she came by and did not ask if we wanted anything else but simply said "ready for the check?" It was a way to make us feel like we needed to leave. The bar/brewery looks the same, there is the same helpful staff, but in all honesty, the food just isn't as good. The pulled pork, was okay at best, the fried onion rings, just too greasy, and the chicken wings, just too dry. When first opened NR was the first microbrewery to prepare and offer their own food, and the bbq was stellar, but I cannot make that same statement today. Brews are still good, but if need a good microbrewery in Chattanooga that can offer you good food to go along with that cold one, my recommendation is either Oddstory or Five Wits. I'll continue to come to NR for a beer, as their Moonpie Stout is absolutely one of the best beers you can find in Chattanooga, but like I said if I am hungry too, this will no longer be one of my primary spots to consider.
