Update! We just had a pretty major repair done (rear coils, plugs, belt)... and so far I am VERY impressed! They do excellent work and seem to be very FAIR and HONEST. Despite having what seemed to be about 10-15 cars, they were able to get the job done in one day, no waiting for parts or the mechanic to finish etc. On time as promised! After having several excellent experiences with Dulin's, I had hoped that they would become the new "go-to" auto repair shop for both myself and my girlfriend. Unfortunately, this no longer the case. Several months ago I needed some work done, and called Dulin's to schedule an appointment. No one picked up the call so I left a message to call me back. After two days with no call back, I called again and was sent into voicemail. I left another message, which was never returned. As I couldn't wait any longer to have the repair work done, I was put in the position of having to call my old mechanic, who is a couple of towns away. They answered the phone immediately and I was able to schedule an appointment right away. I honestly hope that Dulin's can resolve whatever phone/service scheduling issues they are having because repair-wise, they are a very good shop. But when you can't even give your customers the common courtesy of a call back, then they are going to go someplace else, and will probably not return. read more

Believe it or not, honest automotive repair shops do still exist. Dulin Automotive is one of them. My son brought his car there in November of 2021 to have his emission system repaired. Everything was working perfectly until July of 2023 when the same issue occurred again. Knowing a little something about cars, the part responsible for the failure has a longer life expectancy than a year and a half. Now I understand that parts can fail prematurely but was surprised at how Dulin handled it. Not only did they replace the part with a new one, they did not charge him for the labor. They didn't argue or give him a hard time which is a far cry from my dealings with other automotive shops. This is one company that truly stands behind their work. Wow, these folks are **AWESOME**! I live in Manchester and found what seemed like a fantastic deal on a used car an hour+ away in Milford at Westshore Motors (just wrote my first Yelp review for them, 5 stars also!). Since it was too far to bring it back home to my regular mechanic to check it out before buying it, I looked around on Yelp and Google for one in Milford, and was lucky enough to find Dulin. I called and explained the situation to Mike, who said they'd be happy to look it over, but refused to charge me for it (even though I pointed out that I didn't live in the area and wouldn't be able to repay him in future business - he just said "nope, I'm not taking your money!"). He also suggested that I save myself a trip until I knew if the car was worth driving an hour for, and just have the dealer bring the car over for them to look at (great idea!). The dealer happily obliged, and Mike called me right away and gave me a very thorough evaluation of the car - which, happily, turned out to be as good a deal as I hoped it was. He said "I'D buy it!" With an enthusiastic thumbs-up from Mike, we decided to go test-drive it, figuring that we'd almost certainly get it. But we weren't sure if we should trade in my old car or throw a tarp over it until my daughter turns 16 next spring - we knew it had a couple issues, but just didn't know if it was worth fixing. So I called Mike again and he said, "sure, bring it in, we'll look it over" -- and I'm so glad, because the mechanic test-drove it and gave it a good going-over, and it turned out to have way more issues than we'd realized (e.g. leaking head gasket, rotting frame and brake lines, etc.) and it definitely wouldn't be worth fixing - or even safe for much longer! I don't know that they make a habit of working for free, but they gave us great advice on 2 cars in 2 days, and all Mike would accept was the donuts we brought as a thank-you for looking over the dealership car. I truly wish Dulin was closer to Manchester, because I like our current local mechanic but there's just no comparison (and I'm wondering why our regular mechanic didn't tell us about the rusting frame, leaking head gasket, etc.). Dulin fixed my problem when 2 other mechanics couldn't. For several months, I took my car to two other mechanics who couldn't figure out the source of my noisy driving. I even asked one specifically to check the brakes. Each sent me home with no problem found. I'm now 6 months pregnant and the noise was getting louder. Not wanting to be stranded, we took it to Dulin. They told me my rotors were at 5% and got the problem resolved quickly. I hate that it was rotors, but after Dulin, I've had no problems! Last week we took our car to Dulin's. It had been looked at by the dealer who had not found the problem. Mike from Dulin's took 2 hours of his time to determine what was wrong and then he actually contacted the manufacturer to see if the problem was covered under warranty. He didn't have to do that. He could have just fixed the car and charged us. He advised us to go back to the dealer and did not even charge us for the labor. He was great to work with and extremely honest. This place is awesome! We just left there today...basically, we are about to move and have a long drive. First of all, they squeezed us in last minute. We came for brakes and an oil change, but up front they told us that we needed tires too, which we knew.
