Not happy with Dulles Glass! Don't bother - just go elsewhere. I purchased a small piece of glass for a kitchen cabinet door last week. They did ship fast. But it was wrong - too large. They would not remake it because they said it was within their tolerance- and maybe it was but hard to tell. I offered to send it back and pay shipping both ways if they could cut it a little more to fit - they told me nicely to buy it from someone local instead - they did not think it was worth it for me to do this AND they were going to charge me to cut it as well. I paid them over $80 for a 14"x14" frosted cabinet glass. I did find a local company in south florida called Instant Glass and Mirror and they were great. They cut it while I waited, even glued it into the door and charged me $12. YES $12. Dulles is a rip off. read more

I have now used Dulles Glass for two products. Both were custom design. One was a shelf on full display in our living room. The other was a full length mirror behind a bathroom door hung on the wall. The price was neither the lowest nor the highest for similar products, however the value for the price was superb. I was initially concerned about ordering a custom glass product online. The first experience with the shelf was so positive I had no problem using it for the mirror. The website includes several tutorials on how to install a hanging mirror. Are used the video which was clear to make a perfect installation. Both products arrived quicker than I thought might be the case. Both products were flawless and extremely well packed for shipment. Sometimes mirrors and shelves that are not custom just aren't quite the right fit. This is an excellent alternative to having to settle on a retail store purchase. I strongly recommend this company for its ease of use, tutorial support, and customer service. read more

Received a damaged mirror and they refused to replace the broken mirror and several other mirrors are rusting after only a few months and they refuse to warranty their products. No shower yet but so far service has been less than desired. They have my $2000 deposit so I can't say what I want. Hopefully once the shower is installed my opinion will improve. More to come. Update Feb. 24, 2020; I did receive a call from Dulles Glass after my review but didn't update anything until now because the work is completed. The new frameless shower surround is installed and we're very pleased with the results. Looking back the issue I experienced probably could have been avoided if I was made aware what to expect because it all stemmed from me not being aware of the process. And then it was compounded by human error and bad timing that just made things worse. So if you use them make sure you ask questions about the entire process so you're not surprised like I was. I'd definitely consider using Dulles Glass again in spite of our rocky start. All of the workers that came to my house to measure, remove, and install were great. And the finished product is what we expected. So I changed my rating to 4 stars. read more

After receiving an unusually high cost estimate, I explained that their quote was substantially higher than other shops I've contacted. The sales agent told me they were competitive and would price match any other quotes. Low and behold, I sent them a quote I received for the same job, and they declined to price-match. Very poor/ rude customer service after my purchase. Would not recommend this company to anyone and would never do business again. I went to this location today because my door seal strip that was installed by Dulles glass tore. I tried to find the replacement part on their website but couldn't find the correct size. I called and asked if they had the seal strip from my master bathroom in stock they said yes and I could pick it up today. When I arrived at the store, they acted like they didn't remember the conversation that I had with them over the phone and said " you know you could have just ordered this online, right ?'" I said I would have but couldn't find the correct one. After I made my purchase, they gave me a seal strip that was obviously too long and I asked can you cut it tot the correct size? They said no they couldn't without any explanation. Absolutely last time I ever do business with the lousy company. ! read more

We recently had one of the panels of our glass shower door shatter suddenly. Dulles glass had installed our doors as part of a bathroom renovation approximately 4 years ago. When I contacted Dulles glass they responded quickly to remove the broken panel and prevent further damage. Although John Flouhouse initially believed that the break had occurred because of a problem with our tiling it was eventually determined that the problem was due to an error in the initial installation. John was quick to accept that it was their error and replaced and installed the panel as well as refunding me for the necessary repairs to the tile that had resulted from the error in the initial installation. It's heartening these days to deal with a company that stands behind their work. Thanks again John! read more

I am a contractor & real estate investor and have used Dulles Glass several times (before the pandemic), had no problems. Recently, we worked with DG again to install a shower door for a house in DC. Other than a new sales rep (The previous rep I worked with, JP, no longer works there), things seemed normal at first. However, once I paid the 50% deposit, things went downhill. They had to remeasure and do a "mock install" to make sure things would go smoothly due to the stationary panel being relatively large. These took two separate visits (not sure why it couldn't have been done in 1 visit), and pushed the install date two weeks past what they originally said. Then the price increased by about $500 without any explanation of what had changed. I tried to contact the sales rep several times, without being able to reach her. Despite this, I went through with the install because at that point, we no longer had time to get another company to measure and install. Once the job was done, the remaining balance was automatically charged, including the extra $500, still without providing any explanation. I emailed their accounting department and finally the sales manager, Sam Degisman, said the sales rep would get back to me. After a phone conversation with the sales rep, I was told that the extra measurement and mock installation was the reason for the extra charges. While this makes sense, but had I known it would add $500 to the job, I could have gotten a second quote from another company or install a different type of door without the larger panel. I did not dispute the extra charge, nor complain about the delayed installation, and simply wanted an explanation. In the end, no apologies or explanations were given by Sam regarding the lack of communication. I am very disappointed by the poor transparency and customer service from their management. They just lost a loyal customer. Update: Sam called me and further explained the situation, and also apologized for the lack of communication after the price increase. He seemed sincere and further offered a $300 discount towards the next project. I have adjusted my review to three stars for now, and I will work with them again to see if this incident was just a rare mistake. read more

My experience with Dulles Glass was not a good experience. I received my mirror on February 27, 2021 and upon opening the package I noticed that the mirror was tightly wrapped and well protected. It seemed strange to me that, although the mirror was secured tightly in the box, it was not wrapped in some protective layer of its own. It was just bare mirror packaged in thick foam wrap. Removing it from the box and foam meant getting finger prints on the mirror which could easily be remedied by rapping the mirror in material. However, that is only where my bad experience started with this company. Once I got the mirror removed from the gray foam wrap I noticed the front of the mirror and it looked beautiful. Then I looked at the edges and was shocked to see how uneven the beveled edges were and actually cut my finger on a rough, chipped edge. One half of the long edge was not round and polished and the other long edge was chipped. In my opinion this was not done during shipping as the mirror was entombed in thick wrapped gray foam and there were no other signs of damage. This was done, again in my opinion, during manufacturing and not properly inspected before shipment. This is a $200 mirror from a mirror and glass company and I expected better quality. I contacted the Dulles Glass and they wanted photos of the defects, which I quickly provided. On each photo was a caption and an arrow pointing to the defects. Someone reached out to me and said that the photos sent were not good enough to make a claim. I used a 35mm camera with a macro lens and the photos were not acceptable? After that I spoke with Daisey by phone and she needed more photos and offered a 20% refund. This back and forth process went on for two weeks with more photos and phone calls. Never once did anyone apologize for the cut to my finger I received from their product. All that was discussed was the photos I sent were not good enough. I removed the captions and resent the same photos. This time they were mysteriously acceptable and after some prodding they finally issued a full refund. During my three phone calls and six emails I never received an apology and I am so thankful this was not a gift for someone else to deal with or be injured by. I will never do business with this company again and I am glad they are finally in my rearview mirror. read more

I ordered a 22 1/2 inch by 34 inch mirror and was advised that I could glue it directly onto my existing bathroom mirror with a $35 half filled tiny bottle of Nano 470. After waiting 36 hours to take off the tape, nothing stuck. I touched the wet back of my mirror and it didn't even feel sticky nor did it stick to my skin. I placed the still drippy mirror on the cardboard box it came in, and it never stuck to that either. I was never informed that this garbage "glue" was supposed to be light cure by either UV or florescent light. How on earth is any light supposed to penetrate through 2 opaque mirrors? I'm convinced that this Nano 470 junk is vaseline. In the meantime my existing mirror is totally ruined. They have no store phone contact, just someone who tells you they will call you back - no one ever does. Dishonest thieves. read more

Had 3 bathroom mirrors created and installed by Dulles Glass and Mirror in 2017. 2 of the 3 mirrors were knowingly applied with the wrong adhesive. The installer told us he would be back to redo it. Fast forward to 2021, the adhesive has come through the mirrors. Reached out to Dulles Glass in August 2021and was told "our warranty expired". Lisa Bowyer (from DGM) said she spoke to the General Manager and this is what they could do: they could create a quote for replacement of the 2 mirrors and when the installers come out, if it is "their" problem, they will replace it free; if it is "our" problem, we have to pay for it. (I was also told that the steam from showers could cause this...the mirror that was affected the most is in a half bath rarely used...so someone doesn't know what they are talking about!) Since August 2021 and this email conversation with DGM, I have heard crickets, zilch, zero, nothing. I finally gave up and called Del Ray Glass in September 2022 to remove and give a quote to reinstall. They were prompt with their reply and will be out tomorrow with new mirrors. As the tech from DRG was removing the mirrors from Dulles Glass, he too said the installer used the wrong adhesive (totally their fault). Once upon a time, i would have highly recommended Dulles Glass. Can't say that now. read more

This company definitely went downhill since 2014, this I can tell factually. Cost to service the glass shower they built then was 75% as much as the thing cost originally for minimal repair. Ok, so I can understand all contractors are charging crazy prices and having labor shortages after the pandemic. But the cost did not at all reflect the outcome. Re-install was done 50% wrong. Completely wrong on half the slider and leaked like crazy. They had to send someone out who knew what they are doing to redo it correctly. I had a feeling it was one of the principal owners or managers. Good on him. Scheduling and arrival was at least good. Even after that, there is still another small problem that I will just take care of myself. The seals cut imprecisely by the original two bunglers. If I wasn't so tired from fixing up the whole house myself over the pandemic, never would have hired them at this outrageous price. The original glass and fixture was a good investment. I got a return call after 2nd 2022 visit and no one answered, heard them chattering amongst themselves about how to install things right. Unprofessional. Probably has had a change of ownership. Watch out for the fine print with this unscrupulous business! If it takes your contractor a while to open the case, and you discover that your mirror arrived broken, Dulles will not help you out in any way, you're just out of luck. I researched five or six companies when looking for a frameless glass shower door for my DC condo. Dulles Glass stood out because their website had everything ready to go. I got all the info I needed, made all my choices, and put down my deposit, all without having to make a phone call. The other companies didn't have such a comprehensive approach. I got immediate correspondence telling me what the website had said, that someone would come to measure in a day or two, I think it was Friday and they came on Monday. Then, as promised, installation was like just three days later. Everything was great. I could not have asked for a better user experience. As for the product, it looks excellent, as promised. It's even better than I had expected. The door opens and closes with not the slightest hint of resistance, even though I ordered the heavy glass for my small shower door. It looks and feels very luxurious. The workers were extremely polite and nice, and they put plastic covers on their shoes. They worked quickly, quietly, and efficiently. The guy who called me on the phone to confirm my order was also very nice, helpful, and knowlegable. I am very happy with this company and would definitely use them again, and would recommend them to anyone. I read some bad reviews about them, but it seems those yelpers could have resolved their situations with the consumer protections provided through their credit card companies, like the guy who said his glass arrived broken, for instance. I would not use them again or recommend them to anyone else. I actually don't know how they are in business or don't have issues with every order. I have had my contractor install many customer showers and decided to use Dulles Glass since the location was convenient. It is pretty simple to cut glass to a provided dimension. The glass they cut was larger then what was discussed verbally, in writing over e-mail and approved via e-mail and on my actual receipt. They will not accept a return or replacement. They simply did not provide the product that was agreed to and ordered. Zero customer service. Now I have to get an attorney involved which will be a lengthy and painful process to get this fixed. Furthermore they came up with no options to fix, recut, replace, etc. It is too risky to use Dulles Glass for any custom project. read more

Ordered a custom mirror from the web site. Mirror came too big to fit the inset space. When I called customer service they just said " sorry, we have a 1/8th inch cutting tolerance" and offered no other assistance. If you are going to allow custom design on your web site the verbiage should be much more clear. " +/- 1/8th" cutting tolerance" doesn't mean much to a lay person read more

I purchased a set of brass adjustable brackets online. When I received the package, the brackets were tumbling loose in the box. When I opened the box, the package was shoved in there and the plastic cover seemed to have popped off the cardboard backing releasing the brackets to tumble freely as there was no other bubble wrap or packing material to stop this. The brackets had scuff marks on them. I called company. He told me to send pics of everything. I did. They sent me a set of new brackets. Guess what, they came the EXACT SAME WAY! They were tumbling freely in the box. This time I took video of me opening the box. These brackets had more scuff marks then the 1st set!! They also were packaged the exact same way, so me explaining to them that the box was to tight, there should probably be some bubble wrap to avoid tumbling, etc, did not matter to them. The other thing we noticed this time, the plastic that was 'popped' off the cardboard backing, well the cardboard had a big piece of the paper missing in the front, but it was not attacked to the plastic or anywhere in the box. So that means this was a used already opened product they threw it all in the box and shipped it. I'm not even bothering to call back. One shot is all you got. We needed shower glass for a bathroom remodel and had no idea where to start. We stopped by Dulles Glass just to learn and met Adam. Adam answered every question, had some great ideas, told us where to save some money and basically designed the shower that day, in one sitting. We walked away with a design and cost proposal in hand. I really like how Adam told us exactly where the metal hinges and brackets would be installed so there were no surprised. We shopped the price and Dulles Glass was slightly lower than most, but Dulles Glass had better reviews and Adam. We also contracted Dulles Glass to measure and install a large beveled mirror over the sinks that exactly fix the wall for a price what was not much more than the fixed-size Lowes or Home Depot mirror that would not exactly fix the wall. The measurement guy (I wish I could remember his name) was on-time and informative. He had some suggestions that turned out to be great. The glass and mirror installers were on time and did a great job. But here is where it gets even better. The installers noticed a small scratch in the mirror that I know I would not have seen for days maybe never. That kind of professionalism is not normal these days. They tried to polish it out without success. The manager called us within 20 minutes and offered a discount or replacement. The replacement order was rushed and installed. Not sure where or when these high stars were posted but today 5-24-21 I contacted this business and while I'd like to say I've never been treated so rudely I'm afraid I have from time to time but typically with shady businesses that do bad business because a rotten attitude comes right from the top. My initial contact today was with a lovely young lady very helpful very polite, I pressed option #3 because I'm a contractor and was told if so press #3 after I posed my question she politely transferred me to "sales" and from there a rapid downhill slide. This gal was rude beyond belief, I was prohibited from talking to anyone that seemed to know what they were talking about and she talked all over me. She asked me for the location of the job (not her business as we would be picking up our product) she asked for the name of the job (again not her business) all the while never answering one simple question - can you modify the panel of acrylic with a pass through. Also, when you call you have no option to override their pre-selected press this command and when you press #6 hoping to get a real person the call goes into glass orbit I suppose. Honestly I've never experienced this from Dulles Glass before but bye-bye DG&M cause you allow rude ignorant people to represent you. This "review" comes almost immediately after posting my review above. Sam, from DG&M reached out to me almost immediately after I posted the above review to discuss with me the situation. I will say honestly that he was very apologetic and extremely professional. His approach dissolved the aftermath of a very bad experience with the representative I spoke with earlier. Just had the guys install 1/2" glass on all my home railings, job turned out exactly as expected. This is the forth major project they've done for me on top of a bunch of other small pieces. I purchased a frameless glass shower door several years ago for $900.00. Beware, they have parts that need replacing as they get wet and cannot dry fully so mildew appears. I expect that to happen in a tub surround because you have to keep after it. However, they do NOT service their doors. I had to remove a plastic water guard from the bottom, purchase a new one and now I cannot get it clipped on! It is not easy, I don't even think it fits. If you are a lawyer or business person, a busy mother or anyone not a handyman you will not be able to keep your shower door safe and clean. I threw the box away, no directions, tips etc. nothing but a strip of plastic for 60.00 that does not fit. I am disgusted and will tell anyone who will listen that they should find someone else to provide the door if they really must have one. Now the water leaks out all over the floor because there is no plastic water guard so you must be sure to put towels there to soak it up. It is like showering with no curtain. Do not buy from Dulles Glass is my advice. Every time I hear their ads, I cringe. read more

I'm sure Dulles Glass is a good company and most projects run smoothly so our project was one of those unfortunate errors. I ordered a large mirror for over my vanity and a frameless shower enclosure and they managed to get neither of them right. I got three quotes and while Dulles was the most expensive, I wanted the job done right. I assumed if I paid more and got a quality job, it would be worth it. Unfortunately I paid for a quality job but did not receive one. On 12/11 they came to install the mirror and the shower doors. Mirror was too big and drywall was damaged as well as GFI outlet attempting to make it fit. The installer told me that the mirror wouldn't fit unless I removed the sink faucets which would enable them to get the angle they needed. Told them I have no idea how to remove a faucet...that if they wanted to remove it and install the mirror that was fine. They opted to not do that and took the mirror back. Shower door looked great, we waited two days to let everything set up. We used the shower and had a flood in our bathroom. Mopped it up with towels and told them they needed to come back for that as well. 12/20....new mirror comes. They cut it smaller than the old one. Brad, one of their managers I guess, called me on the phone while they were installing it and said that because the mirror was smaller there would be gaps. They could cover the gaps by installing a metal trim piece around the mirror. I said that would be okay and went upstairs to find the technician had already glued the mirror on the wall. The technician said that the trim pieces they were sent with could not be used on a beveled mirror, which is what we had. Okkaaayyyyy. Not happy. Technician looks at the seals used for around the shower door and says "oh, the problem is the last technician used the bottom sweep seal on all three sides". Okaayyyyyyy. So he changes them out and says we should be fine. So next morning, we take a shower and still have water on the floor. We spent a TON of money having our master bathroom taken down to the studs and redone and I am NOT happy that we have beach towels outside our shower door to stop the water. Called and Brad said he would come out personally. I told him I could no longer justify taking leave from work to meet folks during the day so it needed to be a weekend appointment or a morning appointment. Brad said he would come at 7:30 on the 29th which he did. He looked at the mirror and said that "we" should put drywall mud in the gaps so they weren't as noticeable. Okay. Then he looked at the shower and discovered the new seal was coming off. He said the 2nd technician must not have cleaned the edge properly and that's why it wasn't adhering. So now we need a 4th appointment/repair. He said he would try to set up something this week....keep in mind my shower is actually leaking. Reminded him I need a weekend or first thing in the morning appointment. So...........I get an e-mail asking if January 8th between 11 and 1 is acceptable. Are you freaking kidding me? Either he isn't listening at all when I say I cannot do middle of the day or he doesn't care. Not sure which is worse. I e-mailed back that it was NOT acceptable. The appointment was also for a repair to the shower seal only. I asked about the mirror and the e-mail response was "that will need to be taken care of by a contractor". Duh! I know that...can you please send one? You guys decided not to remove the sink faucets and instead cut a second mirror which is small. Your company is the one that came out and measured and the sink faucets were already in place. You measured, I paid, so make it fit and make it look good. So at this point I've spent thousands and thousands on this bathroom....and every morning when I put on my make up I'm reminded that the mirror is too small and every time I take a shower I mop up the mess that Dulles Glass has left behind. If I can take photos that show it well enough I will post photos of the gaps on the side of the mirror as well as my collection of wet beach towels in front of the shower door. I will update this review when the shower issue as well as the mirror issue have either been taken care of by Dulles Glass and Mirror or I pay for someone else to come finish this. UPDATE***** It's now the end of February. They came back and again replaced the seals in the shower and so far no leaks. The contractor came out as well and put either caulk or joint compound around the areas of the mirror where it was cut too small. I will say that did turn out well. They painted once they had patched and it's almost perfect. I will always see the gaps because I know they are there but they are much less noticeable now. John, the service manager (I think), has reached out to me to make sure that everything has been done to my satisfaction and to make sure there were no more leaks. So I do have to hand it to him for reaching back out. They also gave me a $100 discount because of the hassle factor. read more

It's one year later, and I just want to report that my glass shower enclosure still looks great! I have had no problems or issues with anything. It still looks exactly the way it did one year ago (granted, I do run a pretty clean ship). Dulles Glass did an outstanding job and I'm so happy I chose them. If my original review doesn't convince you to choose them, I don't know what would. To Gene C: You clearly are an idiot. You think $470 is unreasonable to replace an entire storefront's glass? Are you for real? You are a dick for taking out your dumbness on these nice people. This is a review for their online services. I purchased new bedroom furniture and realized that I really miss the glass tops my old stuff had. So I made a trip to Lowes..only to find out they don't do glass. So I took to the interwebs. I stumbled upon Dulles and the free shipping got me. I was skeptical so just ordered a top for my 28x18 nightstand. Cost was reasonable and shipping to NC was super fast. Glass arrived in tact with excellent packaging. Took me about 20 minutes to unpack it. I will be back for the remaining pieces. I'm a fan. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY FOR MIRRORS!! They do not stand behind their product. We had $10,000 worth of mirrors installed 4 years ago and there are now major black spots showing due to glue they used. I have pictures!!! Look on Google and Facebook for pictures. When I called, they told me there is nothing they can due as they only offer a 1 year warranty. I've used other mirror companies, both for my home and business and have NEVER had this problem.
