I've only had my hair cut here twice, both times by Donnie, and I can say I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cut as well as the friendly staff and overall professionalism. The shop is clean and abides by all the current COVID-19 restrictions. Donnie takes time with your haircut to ensure it's done well and you walk out happy. In the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, the team at Duluth Barbershop are diligently working away. I wanted to take the time to write this review while waiting in queue for my haircut as these folks have always been friendly and professional. Today is no different except they're wearing their PPEs (masks and face shields) while cutting hair. During normal times, this barbershop is a laid back, efficient, well visited and smooth operation. It was a blessing to find this place through yelp and the many positive reviews are spot on. Donnie, who owns the barbershop is a genuine nice guy who works very hard to ensure that everyone coming in gets a warm welcome. My husband was in desperate need of a haircut during the pandemic. His usual place was not open so he was searching for a new place. He was extremely impressed with their sanitizing efforts and haircutting. Customers were called in one at a time, everything was disinfected between clients, and the barber had a face mask and face shield. He will be going back again. read more

I just moved here from MN and was looking for a barbershop. I knew from right when I walked in and saw the deer heads on the wall, this is where I belonged. Good prices for a haircut and a beard trim. My barber took the time to do a real beard trim, unlike the chains that are just trying turn customers every 15 minutes. read more

I don't have a lot of money and I don't care for the fancy stuff. I wanted a simple place that would just let me come in and cut my hair. Most places were charging me for the haircut and then also for the trim for the beard and such. Not this place. It was all done together. All of it was $15. They also do not take debit or credit and when I said that was all I had and needed to go get the money elsewhere, they were understanding and waited for me. It left me thinking I was tremendously trusted. The cut was great and I know it was because it got the approval of my Mrs. when I came home. I have been enjoying having my ears lowered in this traditional barbershop for 20 some years now. Smells like Vitalis and Barbasol, has a pile of Field and Stream, Sports Afield, Motor Trend, and Popular Mechanics, well used vinyl cushioned chairs, and a coat rack. The only complaint I have with them is that they have been making my hair grayer and thinner every time I go. The barbers are great, old school practitioners of the art that finish a guy off with hot lather and a skillfully wielded straight razor, a wipe down with a steaming towel, and a slap or two of Old Spice, if you like. Some things don't need to change, like a running conversation about football, hunting, fishing, baseball, the weather, and corn bread. Makes my day every time! read more
