Oh boy, after Christmas sales!!! Totally worth a trip out to Jantzen Beach. My husband pretty much only wears Duluth Trading Company now. He's become an expert online shopper too. He's an avid wood tuner and his work shop (the garage) gets mighty cold during winter. His latest love is the Duluth Fire Hose Fleece-lined Relaxed fit pants. The pants have a microfleece lining that is very warm yet surprisingly lightweight and the large, deep cargo pockets resist punctures from the tools he uses. The 100% cotton canvas repels stains and water as well. One note: they wash extremely well but are very heavy when wet and a wimp like me has to transfer them from the washer to the dryer. No complaints, just a warning. LOL His other current favorite are the flannel shirts. There's a whole collection of them ranging from relaxed fit to untucked to fleece-lined and they are all on sale right this very minute. The brick and mortar store has deals you can't get online and vise versa so it's always a good idea to check both options. Many have concerns about the area where the store is located. And, yes, there have been high crime issues associated with the Jantzen Beach shopping center and many of the stores surrounding Duluth Trading Company are in fact closing. Homelessness is rampant in this part of town but the store is safe to shop in and I would suggest just being more vigilant about your surroundings. It's the times we live in. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to get my husband some new shoes. He loves wearing the Wild Boar Leather Mocs to work. He goes through a pair each year. He's on his feet a lot during the day, and these shoes feel great on his feet! While walking through the store, we saw '30% off everything' signs, so we decided to look around a bit. My husband found a couple of long sleeve button-up shirts, stretchy jeans, and some manly bar soap. With the 30% discount, we saved around $90 on our purchases. Not bad. Duluth carries quality items, so we don't mind paying a little more than a department store. My husband is way harder on his clothes than I am, so a more durable quality is better. The service seems to be hit or miss at this store. We either receive super friendly and helpful service or crabby and bothered service. It's not a good feeling to play Russian roulette while waiting in line to check out. When a customer is waiting in line to pay, I think employees can wait to fold a shirt to put back on the floor and help paying customer's first. The girl that finally helped us was not friendly and seemed very bothered. On our receipt, it states 'Sales Rep: AQU'. I certainly hope if that's a person, they don't get credit for our sale! read more

Amazingly, I've come through Portland four times in the past two years and this was first time they had my favorite t-shirts, the short-sleeve, longtail t-shirt Unlike the past three times I stopped, I didn't meet Kathy, who found the t-shirts I was looking for -- or ordered the three they didn't have. What's also nice was that all the t-shirts were selling for $15.00 -- basically, half-off. Duluth has colors like olive drab, tan, and brown in the past decade or so -- and it was gratifying to find what I believe to be olive drab t-shirts this time. My girlfriend and I are both photographers and blending in requires colors that Duluth has avoided in their t-shirt line for the last couple of decades. Wearing black or grey doesn't work; the natural colors work best -- exactly what Duluth has avoided (until now). Duluth: bring back the brown and tan colors. read more

You would think that a business of this size would not let a scammer exist; a scammer that has complete control over ordering procedures, acceptance of money and posts in the Duluth name claiming that your order is on the way.......HMM...... I will never do business here again......there are plenty of business that handle flannel shirts and overalls......does the ordering process benefit from automation???? read more

Duluth Trading has great stuff, but not-so-great locations. Parking lot did not feel safe at all, and security guards seemed hard-pressed to do anything about it. Not a great selection of big and tall, seemed like the Eugene store had better stock than Duluth. read more

i was introduced to duluth, and more importantly firehose flex cargo pants, in 2012.. i horde the pants.. i still have my first pair, have 8 pairs in rotation, and 6 on standby.. yes, really.. quality stuff.. perhaps feels a little pricey, but you absolutely get what you pay for.. worth it.. everyday wear you can wear every day and it just keeps going and going like some perpetually percussive rabbit.. and they have pretty great sales pretty regularly.. also, they very randomly have some really good snacks.. their peachy rings are bangin'.. read more

Just received a holiday package I've been waiting on from Duluth Trading...and it contained TWO of the FOUR items I've been waiting on. We leave for our on-the-road holidays tomorrow morning, and I ordered in plenty of time to receive the gift items in question, one of which is a gift card (not exactly difficult to source). I would love to troubleshoot this problem with them in person, but I've been on hold for more than 30 minutes with no sign of customer service in sight. You would think that, especially during the holidays with deadlines looming and potential future customers ready to jump ship, they would consider answering the phones. I wouldn't recommend ordering from them if you expect any sort of expediency or customer service. read more

I am a longtime customer of Duluth Trading, but always online until I recently discovered they've had a brick-and-mortar store at Jantzen Beach for well over a year. Yesterday I drove up I-5 with a friend to check it out since I needed some jeans anyway. The service I received from Patrick was exemplary but everyone I ran into was smiling, friendly, and very willing to help without being overbearing. The store was well stocked and easy to navigate. Anything bought online can be returned at the store if need be. The only deficit - for me - is the location. I-5 traffic was horrific and it took significant time and patience to get there and back. Not Duluth's fault, although a store in or around Tualitin would be sweet. Until and if they do, I will likely continue purchasing online but if the commute is easier for you, I can highly recommend the store. Durable products, a great selection, exemplary service and wait for it.... APPLE PAY!! What's not to love? read more

I'm drove 30 miles out of the way on my road trip to stop by & try some things on. Security guard rudely wouldn't let me in the store with my purse & told me to leave it in my car. Not the safest area to be doing that, especially if you're store needs a security guard. Said we'll then you don't get my business and left. read more

I love Duluth products and they stand behind them, so it makes it a good value for the money spent. And there are plenty of items/colors to choose from. BUT their discount shipping method is not dependable. I ordered on the 7th, was told I'd get the item on the 15th. I just now (mid-morning 19th) received the item. They call it their economy shipping but I tracked the item around the state for 5 days. If they had not been delivered by tomorrow, Duluth would have sent another item out. Bad business. I'll make sure to factor in the cost of shipping in the future to see if the item is worth the cost savings. Shipping also reflects on customer service. read more

Recieved wrong item that ended up being sold out and unable to replaced. I still was required to return the item I received, which meant a drive into town and back - I should have told them to come to my house and get it! Maybe I still will. No consideration for the customer due to their error until I asked for it, and then it was a discount with restrictions. Not so good customer service. If they make a mistake, they ought to own it and make good on their error! rather than making a half-effort to reduce their losses. read more

While other stores are lowering their inventory and steering you online this company is serving their customers with the touch and feel experience shoppers want. I sent Duluth a review on their bear hide fleece jacket to the duluth website. They have not uploaded the review to their website so I'm going to post it here. This is my first time purchasing anything from Duluth trading company. I was disappointed in the inaccurate delivery time, customer service and overall product. My current jacket had worn through, so I ordered Duluth's Bear Hide Fleece Jacket. I ordered this jacket on Thursday Nov 23rd under the assumption that it would arrive reasonably close to the estimated delivery date which was Friday December 1st. Duluth uses a third-party delivery company called pitney bowes that delivers the order to usps who then delivers to the customer. I was able to check delivery updates from pitney bowes website. December 1st came and went with no further delivery updates and no jacket. The tracking info still said it was estimated to be delivered Dec 1st. Monday December 4th, I went on to pitney bowes website to try and find a customer service/inquiry section. What I found on their website under "where's my package" inquiry was this "If you have questions about the status of your delivery or return, contact the retailer directly or marketplace where you made your purchase. Pitney Bowes provides a service for these companies and does not have this information." I then called Duluth as directed by pitney bowes website. When I explained my issue, I was told that the confusing tracking happens all the time, they don't know why, they don't have any more information for me and to call pitney bowes. I explained again what pitney bowes website says and I was told to call Duluth again in 4 days if it still hadn't arrived. At this point I asked if I could cancel my order. I was told no. They told me that I would need to wait until the package arrives to start a return order. The ETA eventually updated, and it was delivered 5 days later on Saturday. I ordered and XL jacket. I am 5'11" 240lbs with a 36inch waist. XL is sometimes too small to fit my shoulders and chest. This jacket was bigger than many XXL jackets I have worn. The fit was terrible. Now I'm paying $8.00 to return it. read more

I have been a Duluth fan for a few years. Great quality clothes but I had only ordered online (I am 225 miles from the nearest store) until yesterday. What a great experience!! REAL people work there. Not barbies with zero personality. The gent at the desk was extremely nice and made pleasant conversation while he rang me up. Everyone was wearing masks and nobody looked mad about it. I love this store and the quality of the clothes, and will be finding more reasons to come back. read more

Duluth Trading has top quality products! Absolutely love their underwear, a little bit more $$$ then you're average underwear but you get much better quality! I'm so glad they've started expanding to the Northwest! Can't wait till they are in Tacoma. For now, either I will continue buying from their website or buying here when I'm in Portland. Uncomfortable experience at the registers when someone who I assume was a manager of some sort came over to announce the stores sales so far that day. She was pretty loud and dramatic about what was achieved but also what "sucked". The cashiers were visibly uncomfortable, along with myself and the customer on the other side of me. Never a good idea to discuss sales, needing more transactions, or other things that "suck" in front of customers. I really felt bad for the cashiers. Seriously awkward for them, especially when helping people. read more

There is no point in coming to this store. Racks are full but inventory control is terrible. Of all the men's shorts in stock, there are only two sizes. 38 and 44. Long tail t shirts, four shelves 12 get long of small and XXL and a couple mediums. No large, no extra large. Every sales person said to try in line and delivery would be in a week or two. I come to this store at least once a month to check out any new merchandise they have or any of their sales. I always love the friendly sales staff always willing to help you out. This morning I had to return some water resistant Black Hill pants and the guy Patrick at the counter treated me like dirt. First of all it took about 15 minutes for him to look at my purchase record and he was just plain RUDE! The pants I was returning they had the tags on and had never been worn. So, while I was standing there waiting for him to search in the computer I was reading about their return policy. "No bull no questions asked....etc". On top of that I don't think he gave me the value I paid for those pants! That was the most horrible customer experience of my life! Somebody needs to talk to that man and send him to take some PR class he read more
