I contacted Dump It as an act of desperation; I was in the process of moving from a duplex to a one bedroom apartment. I realized I had way to much stuff to put out on the curb so I gave Dump It a call. I was notified that they really were booked up for the day but would at least stop by to assess the removal. Once they arrived they were courteous and friendly and very prompt with the task at hand. They cleared up the whole duplex in no time at all and seeing how much stuff I actually had accumulated was a lot. I called on a Wednesday, spoke to a helpful employee, and scheduled some junk pickup from my residence in Niskayuna for the very next day at noon. When they were 45 minutes late, with no messages from them, I texted to see if they were on the way. Got no reply. By 1:15 PM, with no replies from them, I texted them again and cancelled the job. Nick at Dump It was amazing. Always professional and accompdating. We rented a 10 and then a 12 foot dumpster as we were downsizing a large home. At the last minute, we had more junk than the space available in the dumpster. Nick arranged, in one day, pick up of the dumpster, along with pick up of ALL of our last minute things we needed to get rid of. So after paying Dump it LLC $5000 plus a $300 tip to drop a barn that they told me was going to cost 4000 and he will leave me a can for my remodel so this is what I came back to after paying him $5300 in cash horrible businessman decided that it wasn't enough money so he decided to dump a whole load that he left for me to fill on my property after paying him $5000 and a $300 tip 1000 more than his asking price because he changed his price in the middle of the job for the second time he's done this to us but this time the disrespect went even further a whole load of materials from a remodel on our property because he felt he didn't get enough money after he made the price twice and now says that the dumpster he left for us to fill was not for us to fill this is not a pure evil I don't know what is I want everyone in the capital area that he is a thiefing con artist and very much a liar a poor businessman to be say the least and a different kind of evil to do something like this to somebody after they just paid him this kind of money I promise I will take him to court, and I will make sure everybody knows until the day I die how much of horrible man he is the owner Nick is at Dump it llc I warn all my friends. This business performed the task I hired it for-removing and disposing of a bed, but in the process upped the quoted price given me on the phone and then failed to give me a paid receipt showing a zero balance after I paid it and it cashed my check. It probably deserves a one star rating for its business practices, but it did the job I requested and did it expeditiously. I rarely need assistance with work at the home, but we hired Dump It to remove an old dishwasher. They no called and no showed. When we called them back they turned their phone off and did not respond to my wife's email attempt. No way would I recommend hiring them at all. read more
