Liedkie did a great job moving my mom out of her home of 50 years to a new apartment. During the move they made sure they put items where my mom wanted them, and when the job was done they made sure she was happy with the service and if there was anything else's they could do before they left. They originally estimated 5 hours, but finished in 3.5. They only charged her for the 3.5. A well run organization! I will use them for all my moves.

They told me they were no longer available until September--after my lease is up. They asked me to hold while they checked if something could be done. Naturally, I started freaking the heck out. To add to the stress, I underwent emergency surgery two weeks earlier, and now could not finish packing my apartment. I searched Google reviews for movers who also offered packing services, and reached out to Pony Express right away. I said that my scheduled movers may not be able to move me anymore, and asked about availability. I received a response from Mike almost immediately, who told me he could absolutely help me out before the end of September, and we made plans to communicate the next day. It turns out that my original mover was able to make a miracle happen and I didn't need to use Pony Express after all, but I was so impressed by Mike's service and help. I know that I will be calling them next time I move--which, let's face it, after all this stress, I hope is never.

We personally feel that Lamanna was worth even more than we paid (Important to note that we've moved twice from NYC in the past 5 years, and city prices are very different.) I really thought I'd written this review already, but you know how crazy it can be when you move. I've got specifics about the guys on the crew, but I don't have the notes right now and can't remember, it's just too hectic still. Just know that Lamanna was prompt, careful, friendly, and super helpful. They are *serious* about being a good crew, and we were lucky to be able to book them. Steve was even good enough to help keep me from having a meltdown about a month before our move! I hope to update this later after we've actually settled in better, but honestly, things just keep piling up and I don't know when I'll get to it.

Service was efficient but still very careful to protect our belongings and the safety pf the 5 man crew. Everyone was very professional and our move went off without a hitch. Lamana's knows what they are doing. We packed our personal items, so the crew only had to move the furniture & boxes. They just needed us to direct them as to placement in our new house. In all, the entire process took about 5 hours. We should note my husband is immune compromised and all staff took precautions when it came to pandemic precautions. We are grateful for their professionalism and concern, in this regard. There was a GREAT article about Lamana's in the Albany Times Union on 9/2/20, this is a multigenerational family run business and they deserve the high praise and recognition. I've already passed them on to another friend who will be moving in the near future and to our realtor. I do recommend calling & booking as soon as you have a closing date. We were able to get them within a few days of our closing, but with the good press and so many happy customers, I'd say they're only going to get busier. Great job. Great local business. Can't say enough great things about them.
