Don's Moving didn't even move us but I have to write a review anyway…read more I contracted with them to move my elderly mom but one day before our scheduled move day my mom took very ill and ended up in intensive care at the hospital. I had to cancel the move altogether due to her health changes. The people at Don's were understanding, kind and easy to work with. They refunded all the money I paid towards the move and even asked how my mom was doing. I was so touched and impressed with them, especially Rose, Glen & Charles, that I would go to them again should we have to move and would tell anyone they would be in good & caring hands.

Liedkie did a great job moving my mom out of her home of 50 years to a new apartment. During the move they made sure they put items where my mom wanted them, and when the job was done they made sure she was happy with the service and if there was anything else's they could do before they left. First they piled boxes and furniture so high in the new location that I could not move around the rooms or move any thing myself. They charged me to come back the next day and move things around so it was more manageable. Then I started noticing all the damage to several pieces of furniture. My furniture had some surface scratches from my cats and child. However there are now gouges and scrapes on the edges of all my tables and the frame fell off the glass from the bottom door of the barrister bookcase. When I contacted the owner as stated in his contract for damaged furniture, he said he was sorry I felt this way , they did a great job and to send him the court date.

These guys were so unbelievably good when it came time to make the long distance move from Brooklyn…read moreto Albany. Communication at first was a little hard but Tom actually went above and beyond to move some things around to get us all set up. When the guys came down, it was a week after the big blizzard in NYC, so getting around was a bit rough, but these guys didn't blink. We also probably had about 10-20% more than we thought we did and the guys just kept at it. Seeing them pack the truck was like watching a real life tetris game. After the drive up, they loaded everything into our living room per our request, took a well deserved beer break (it was the least we could offer) and they even gave us some recommendations on where to get some dinner. Also, not a thing was broken.

Also, our household goods arrived in excellent condition without evidence of shifting, which to me indicates that the driver took great care in hauling the load. On both ends, the drivers also worked to position the trailer in the most advantageous spot for loading and unloading. The three days to load and unload are more than ample if you are organized ahead of time in your planned packing and unpacking. As a final note, everyone I spoke with in making the reservation and throughout the move was professional, personable, and helpful. For me, and possibly for you, U-Pack made my move as stress-free as possible.

We had an issue when it came to delivering our two trailers. They did give us a range of dates that we could expect our trailers to arrive, which was fine. I received an email that stated our trailers would be delivered on Saturday, but I wanted to make sure so I called the distribution center which stated that "no they were not going to be there on Saturday", but expect them on the following Monday. Now I had to hire a forklift at $300 a day and a couple of workers (which I paid) to help unload. Monday came and no trailers, so I called the distribution center again. I was told they would be there Tuesday. When they didn't arrive by noon I called again, and I was told that they would definitely be there Wednesday morning. By 11am on Wednesday I called again and at this point I was told that they would be there around 3ish. It gets dark at 5 so now I have possibly 2 hours to unload and I now have paid 5 days of a forklift and 3 days of help. I called U-Pack directly and after explaining my situation I was given some money back. All in all I was satisfied with everything, except being basically lied to as to when my trailers would be delivered.
