I'll list them in order starting with our most favorite: Pork and leek, pork fried bun, juicy pork bun and finally shrimp. We also ordered the spicy seafood soup. The sweetest filling and the best crispy crab rangoons we saved for last. We will return! The food was AMAZING! Just absolutely DELICIOUS. However, we had to wait a long while for our food, it was served on paper plates, there were still Christmas decorations in the window, and they proceeded to serve me food that contains gluten despite telling them I have celiac disease. I need more dumplings! I tried a variety of dumplings thinking I could save some for the next day and my family can try all the different ones. The most difficult thing was putting them in order from which I liked the most to least because they are all so different and delicious. Really delicious. We stuck to the mini juicy buns and Shanghai style buns with a few appetizers (scallion pancakes, cucumber salad) and Beijing style noodles. All of it was amazing. So glad this place opened up! read more

We have ordered from here twice. We were happy with the food both times. The Pad Thai is incredibly good and so were the chicken dumplings.

Nice girl actually speaks Chinese & English so that was good. Ordered pork Dumplings and pork/shrimp Dumplings and salt/pepper Calamari. Dumplings were okay, taste was underwhelming. Big letdown was the Calamari - thick batter (supposed to be a light dusting!) dry, overcooked, inedible... disappointing. This place is disgusting inside. The health department should step in and shut it down. I tried to have an open mind and order some dumplings. I headed to the bathroom and as a I walked by the man making sushi a dog was underneath barking at me. This is a relatively new Chinese restaurant in Danvers. We have been buying takeout food for several months now. Their food is fantastic, and is cooked with much lighter frying than others (their Pupu Platter is excellent and generous; their General Gau's Jumbo Shrimp is "to die for" good), their dumplings are terrific (I highly recommend their Mini Juicy Bun w. As far as dumplings go around the north shore, they are pretty good. It's not anything mind blowing, and just a hair expensive, but still within a reasonable range. OMG. So yummy! I ordered this based on a Yelp promo--I had never heard of the restaurant--but I can easily say I will be ordering again. Having not eaten there before or having recommendations, we opted for middle of the road with Singapore Curry Noodles, Shanghai pan fried dumplings and shredded chicken in garlic sauce. Mini juicy dumplings about the best I've ever had including in Taipei. This is a takeout spot but they have a few tables and we ate in. When we asked about the wait for dumplings, our waitress expedited our order. Food comes out as it's done. Besides the dumplings above, we had pan fried dumplings (lots of meat, great dumpling!) and sautéed string beans (not a light dish but so much flavor). A real treat! We will be back. read more

Dumpling Garden in Danvers is superb! We've been ordering from them since the beginning of the pandemic. We have been desperately looking in our area (Salem) for a decent Chinese restaurant, having spent time in China and Japan, and having children who live in Japan and Germany and spent a substantial time in China. Having visited our daughter in Beijing and toured in China, with some time in Sichuan, we have been hoping to find something in our area for Sichuan food and dim sum, and lo and behold, Dumpling Garden fulfills both bills. Their Sichuan food is great (they're not afraid of making things hot!), and the dim sum offerings are spectacular. And to top it off, when we order, the food is on time (or early) and hot (they handle their own delivery), and their delivery persons are courteous and friendly. We are elderly (one of us is disabled), and they deliver to our door in our apartment building. All in all, I can't think of enough complimentary things to say (except that it would be nice if their Sichuan flounder with pickled vegetables had more lotus root now and then). You've got to try this place; you'll love it! read more

Inconsistent at best, incompetent at worst. The food is actually pretty decent when they get the order correct. We've ordered delivery from here three times now. The first time was good, everything correct. Second order, the food was good, but the order was missing items, and about 20 minutes later than promised. Just enjoyed the most delicious dinner at Dumpling Garden! Literally every dish was perfect. We ordered a family-style feast and it was brought out fast with friendly service. Shanghai style steamed veggie buns were hot and fluffy in a beautiful bamboo steamer. Such flavorful filling! The mala special pot was spicy and delicious with an awesome array of special vegetables you can't find everywhere, like lotus root and woodear mushrooms. Braised mushrooms over baby bok choy, OMG -- cooked perfectly and the sauce on the mushrooms was so yummy. General gau's tofu was some of the best I've ever had -- flavorful orange sauce on tofu that had a light and crispy batter but was soft and steamy inside and garnished with fresh steamed broccoli. Fresh white rice and a hot pot of green tea made it a gorgeous meal from start to finish. We packed up our leftovers and they sent us home with a complementary order of vegetable dumplings... So nice! We were full but tried one anyway -- yup, delish. We can't wait to eat here again and definitely have a new favorite Chinese restaurant, which we'd been searching high and low for in the area. Very casual dining space but clean with pretty tables and wallpaper -- maybe we'll try takeout next time, but either way, we will certainly be back! read more

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon after I found them on yelp. Could it really be possible to get soup dumplings and good Chinese food on the North Shore? We ordered the pork soup (juicy) dumplings which were fantastic. We also had the eggplant in garlic sauce and mala spicy beef which were both just as good or better than you can find in Boston or Cambridge. Soup dumplings!! Wow. This is a small place in a small strip mall. Looks like just another Chinese take out place. Went on a Sunday after reading they had juicy pork dumplings, or soup dumplings, not hoping for much except avoiding a trip into Boston to quench our craving. We were blown away. These were better than any we had in Chinatown. Better broth, better filling and dough. Piping hot and fresh. We got a few other dishes as well and all were hot fresh and delicious. Don't be thrown off by look of place. Only thing missing was a nice cold Sapporo. Definitely need to serve beer. Going back next weekend. Best xio long bao anywhere in New England. read more

This is easily the best Chinese food place I know of in the Danvers/Peabody area. Their Pad Thai (I know, Thai not Chinese but whatever) is delicious and enough for two people to share. The "mini juicy buns w/ pork" are absolutely delicious little pork dumplings. Their other dumplings are great, but those ones are the winner for me. Great fried rice too. read more
