DINNER appetizer combo plate 14.95 +3.00 for house rice!!
    Carrie W.

ID GIVE NO STARS IF I COULD!!Extremely disappointed!! I ordered a Appetizer combo All Day Combo (DINNER) plate. The dinner plate came with ONE chicken wing, ONE beef teriyaki, and a few boneless spareribs. I called and asked how a dinner plate differs from a lunch plate she said they were the same??!! So lunch plate is 12.95 and for the SAME AMOUNT OF FOOD the dinner plate is 14.95!!! And payed 3.00 for house rice!!!HOW DOES THIS EVEN MAKE SENSE!!! She wasn't apologetic or anything. Couldn't even give me a rationale explanation!! I'm soo irritated! I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!! AND I tipped 5.00 on a take out!!!!!

First time in... it's very good! Will be back for sure... ordered Spicy Tuna Roll, California Roll, Steamed Pork and Cabbage Dumplings, Kung Pao Chicken and Beef Lo Mein... all was great!

Small strip mall location, six tables, surprisingly deep menu, but when the word dumpling is in the name, you go with dumplings. Very casual, to the point where most of it is served on paper plates. Not a problem; the food is very good. B1 Cold Cucumber Salad: Thick(ish) half discs, with soy sauce, with hints of vinegar and sugar, topped with crushed garlic. Simple and refreshing, with no single flavor dominating. D1 Soup Dumplings: Hot, heavy, juicy, soupy, with good pork flavor. Solid if not downright tomatoes, a lot of tomato, cucumber, cucumber it's a tomato for you. excellent. D3 Mini Juice Bun w/Pork & Shrimp: Perfect texture, perfect heat (caution: filling is hot), perfect tenderness of the meat inside, along with a good slurp of the soupy juiciness. Nice to taste strong shrimp presence along with the pork. D4 Shanghai Style Pan-Fried Pork Bun: Big and pillowy, but in a Peking ravioli density, not bao bun density/texture, so for me that's a plus. Delicious filling, basically crumbled sausage with seasonings the mix. This is a must-order item every time for me. D17 Cantonese Shumai: Light wrappers, abundant filling, gentle texture, tasty shrimp flavor. Excellent. D9 Steamed Shrimp Dumplings: Crescent shaped and somewhat see-through. Standard but good. Or good but standard. No issues! D6 Steamed Taro Bun: Big, purple, dense, and spongy, with a taro jelly filling resembling poi. I didn't like it, but your mileage may vary. D10 Steamed Vegetables Dumplings: Not just for vegetarians, this one is a flavor punch too. Lots of finely chopped stuff on the inside. Herbal. A2 Boneless Spareribs: Average at best. It's not really the kind of place this is, but I felt like giving it a curiosity shot. Light on char, light on glaze (though there was a clear liquid in there along with the red), and light on flavor. No deductions, because it's not their thing. But would have been a helluva bonus. A16 Wonton Hot Dogs: A novelty but a well executed one. This wasn't any ordinary hot dog inside. Lots of snap and a juicy, well seasoned interior.

the rancid juice. I swear that's not the color it's supposed to be either.

do not order the "fresh plum juice" it was rancid. my stomach still hurts from taking only one sip! it was totally bitter and tasted like genuine vomit and left a nasty aftertaste for over 2 minutes after i'd swallowed it.

Excellent dim sum and general Chinese food. Restaurant is small, not particularly fancy, but it has great food! Will make the trip again.

Awesome dumplings. Especially loved the juicy dumplings, they are like part soup dumpling part pork dumpling.

Delicious food for a great price. The dining room was very ticky tacky, with plastic utensils. It is definitely a carry out place.

The juicy dumplings I got is very dioecious. So happy that an authentic dumping house opened at north shore.

I haven't eaten at the location? Only got delivery. But it was excellent. Nothing comparable between The North Shore and Boston I know of.

Very flavorful dumplings with a little bit of soup inside. I got take out and the wait was less than five minutes. Glad I made the stop.

After looking at the…read moremenu, everything was priced much higher than I'm used to, but you can tell that it's a luxurious ambiance. Staff were nice and I noticed that all the waitstaff worked together with different people checking in on us and delivering/clearing dishes. Started with fried shumai which was usual as it's most likely frozen and fried-nothing crazy. What we were most excited for was their sushi. The fish was insanely fresh that you could taste the difference. The rice bowl came with miso soup and the portion was large enough to easily feed two people. Glad we made the visit after hearing from several people how good their food is. We will be coming back!

I recently tried Blue Fin around 3:30pm for a late lunch. It wasn't overly busy when we arrived,…read morebut it was definitely starting to pick up. The dining room has a nice vibe -- modern, clean, and comfortable. It feels like a good spot for a casual date or catching up with friends. That said, the noise level builds quickly. Everyone was chatting, and you could easily overhear conversations without even trying. Service was genuinely great. Our server checked in consistently for water refills, cleared plates quickly, and asked if we needed anything -- but never felt overbearing. That balance is appreciated and made the experience smoother. One thing worth noting: some menu prices are higher than you might expect, especially since Google lists the average around $20-$30 per person. For some of the higher-priced items, photos on the menu would really help set expectations. The portions do help justify the entrée pricing somewhat, but the overall bill -- $110 for a late lunch for two -- was honestly higher than expected. We started with the spicy edamame. To make it spicy was a $2 upcharge, which felt unnecessary -- most places offer regular, sea salt, or spicy at the base price. That rubbed me the wrong way. For sushi, we ordered two pieces of unagi and two pieces of wagyu. The fish/meat to rice ratio was generous (see picture). The unagi sushi is something a sushi chef can't really mess up -- solid and as expected. The wagyu sushi, however, had a very intense char on top and was extremely fatty. Depending on your preference, that could be a plus or a bit overpowering. The spicy beef rice bowl was a very large portion -- honestly enough to split between two people. The onions had a nice crunch and weren't soggy, which I appreciated. The beef is shaved rather than sliced, and you can't choose how it's cooked. The spice level was faint, should have spice level indicators on items like this. I did feel like the dish was missing another vegetable element that could have elevated it. The chicken curry bento box came with a lot: two tempura shrimp, two deep-fried pork gyoza, one sweet potato tempura, sticky rice, and the curry chicken. The chicken was very tender. The curry had that strong, classic curry aroma and was well balanced in flavor. Nothing to rave about. Both meals came with miso soup and salad. The salad dressing wasn't for me; I prefer something tangy, and this one tasted more like pan juices from cooked meat. For dessert, we tried the vanilla crepe cake. It honestly tasted like tiramisu. If they offered a matcha version, that might have set it apart more. I wouldn't order it again. Overall, I'm glad we tried it and had the experience. The service and portion sizes stood out positively. However, for the price point, it's not a "must-return" spot for me, and not somewhere I'd immediately recommend off the top of my head when people ask.
