Our A/C quit working in the middle of a 100+ degree heatwave. I contacted several companies, but most could not make a service trip to me for several days. I was pleasantly surprised that Whirlwind could make it out the next day. Turns out they are great at what they do. Ivan spoke with me on the phone to discuss what was wrong and what might be the cause that night. The next morning, he was here by 9:30am to trouble shoot. Within an hour the A/C was up and running and Ivan had put everything back as it was. Costs were very reasonable and, more importantly, they were exactly as stated before arrival. I liked most that Whirlwind was great at communicating with me, the customer. Both over the phone and in person. They were clear about the types of problems I could be facing with a 17+ year old system and what the worse case might be (full replacement since my A/C uses a now banned refrigerant). While they checked out the system, they kept me informed every step of the way and I earned a few things. When they finished, everything was put back in place, just as it was when they arrived. When the power came back, it killed the thermostat of my Lennox HVAC system. The problem is that you can just get any other thermostat as it has only 4 wires... and no Lennox thermostats available in stores. So, I called for help on Yelp and Home Comfort Heating & Air responded very quickly, they had a thermostat available in stock, and believed they could re-wire my system to make it work. Noe came and did all of that in less than an hour, checking also the furnace and condensation pump. All in all, they were available on a holiday (today was MLK day), answered all my questions, were efficient in the solution, and very reasonable in the cost. They won my business, and I can't recommend them enough for any HVAC work. They are truly amazing.

He stated there was something leaking in the furnace and that he would need to order the part. 2-3 weeks go by, I send an email he tells me the part is in, he says he'll be here on that thursday. Thursday comes, Sean sends another email. No part [mind you this is already after the phone conversation stating there IS a part]. Keep in mind he never once told me what this part was, or what was leaking nor was it on the receipt. He says he'll have to order it again. Another week goes by. This time next Thursday, the part ends up at the "other" shop. Another phone call, another email.. Another thursday.. at this point 2 more weeks go by. Sean now ghosts me. No more calls no more no shows. The original day he was scheduled to come for service I made sure my husband would be home and sure enough my husband showed up before Sean could be finished. There are two things happening here. The first and the most obvious is, this company and this tech, was FULL OF IT, because they ghosted the client. The second is more likely the case, that he tried to scam me not thinking my husband would be there. BUT my husband isn't a certified HVAC tech so we're STILL going to have to call someone else out and pay for another check. It has been 2 1/2 weeks and zero return call. I ended up taking my business elsewhere. Please call people back, it doesn't have to be the same hour, but at least within 24-48 hrs. Also, we received an invoice but nothing itemized, no details to what was done or looked at. I thought that was weird.
