Duncan remains my go to liquor store before Jax. They have what I need, better pricing, and I can still go to the post office , butcher shop, shooting range and Sonic all in one circle. Sure wish locally they would expand food options because we have a liquor store 28 Mexican restaurants and Kroger and Publix . Outback, even a good pub with good food would be good. Don't waste your time. Prices are over priced and selection is terrible. The employee was rude and unhelpful. Not to mention, the employees will lie to your face. I was told they didn't have what I asked for and then a "regular" came in and amazingly they had a plenty in the back room. You should have seen the walk of shame when he walked to the back to grab me a bottle. Goodluck if you decide it's not worth the drive to next place right down the road. Jax was more than helpful and had a better selection. read more

This is a great liquor store (In the south they call 'em anything but that!). They have shopping carts full of sale items, wines and vodka's they sale at cost to generate a taste. The staple drinks are reasonably priced and since its so close to Chateau Elan, you really get to see some interesting clientele (I could swear I seen Emanuel Lewis in there once picking up some MD 20/20...). I generally like the friendliness of most liquor stores I have visited, but this one was certainly the exception! Two women were working there when I went in. I was greeted by one who acted like she was tired and ready to go home (which I've had those days, but I generally keep the cheery smile going at least!). I found a 750ml bottle of Tequila that was on sale for around $12.99 or so. I took it to the counter. It rang up $17.99. I told her there was a sign just below it that said $12.99. She says " Wait a minute let me check that!", and goes to the isle. She snatches the sign off and said " Oh no!! That's not even supposed to be there! That sale ended last week." I'm sorry! That's not the right attitude to have with your customers. Where she could have made a sale, based on error, she made NO sale, and I will NOT be going back!! read more

This is close to my house so I've been many times. I'd tolerate their poor customer service because they were convenient (not just a lack of service, but a couple of their staff are just down right rude). Over time, this store's customer service has gotten even worse. The prices aren't that great, their wine selection is limited (there's a better selection at Publix across the street), and every time I go through the check out, I feel like I'm *bothering* them for even being there. I have just returned from Peru and had trouble finding a Peruvian Pisco (national alcoholic drink in Peru) until I called this liquor store... yes, contrary to what Edward L. posted on here, I am a Southern native (from GA) who is almost 50 years old and my friends and I HAVE ALWAYS REFERRED TO THESE STORES AS "LIQUOR STORES" even if there are laws now that say the businesses can't do that (not sure if this applies in GA or not but if it does, it hasn't always been that way). Anyway, THIS "LIQUOR STORE" WAS THE ONLY LIQUOR STORE NEARBY THAT SOLD PISCO FROM PERU!! :d Most stores did not even know what Pisco was! I found cheap Chilean Pisco in several nearby stores; however, in my opinion, if it's not Peruvian Pisco, it's not Pisco! Pisco Sours are delicious and more "liquor stores" should import Pisco from Peru as well as import the best mix to make Pisco Sours with. The closest thing I found for making a Pisco Sour is Bartender Brand powdered Margarita mix because it does have the necessary dehydrated egg whites... a main ingredient for making the drink frothy. Ironically, Pisco smells a little like Tequila but it is actually made with grapes and I "believe" it's considered to be a grape brandy that's about 42% alcohol. It is very good if you can find someone who knows how to make a fresh Pisco Sour with the egg whites, lime (limon), and whatever other fresh ingredients are required OR if you can find a good mix. The down side is that the brand, Pisco Porton, sold here is expensive (for me anyway). I imagine it's partly due to being imported but I am hoping it's mostly because it's the better stuff. I don't like bad, cheap liquor so I rarely buy liquor; however, I paid about less than half their price in Lima, Peru for a different brand and it seemed decent even if it wasn't considered the best (I must investigate the many brands). Anyway, THANKS TO DUNCAN CORNERS BOTTLE SHOPPE, at least I "CAN" BUY PERUVIAN PISCO CLOSE TO HOME!! :D (I usually like a very good tequila but I'd recommend a good Pisco to anyone... especially to anyone who likes a good tequila.)
