If you're lucky, you might catch a ride in the golf cart, but if you're seated in the back, hold on tight because it's a steep ride! If brunch isn't your thing, you can enjoy a wine tasting in the tasting room located below the main dining area. If you're there for brunch, you're also allowed to go back and forth between the tasting room and dining room during your allotted table time. At check-in, we were told the last wine tour started at 5:00 p.m., and it was already 4:45. I asked if we could go the next day (Monday), and the front desk agent assured us we could, saying they were open daily from 12-6. After settling into our room, we headed to Louis' House of Bourbon. The food was decent, but the drinks were excellent. The atmosphere alone made it worth the visit. The next day, however, we found out that the wine tours and tastings were actually closed on Mondays, which was disappointing given the information we were told at check-in. Still, we didn't let that ruin our trip. We went out to a nearby steakhouse for dinner and returned to the resort for drinks at what had quickly become our favorite spot, Louis'. I have to give a special shoutout to the staff, Manny, Anya, and Cole were amazing. They were attentive, friendly, and really elevated our experience. Then you go to another counter and choose one wine at a time reusing the same glass throughout. Unless you change from white to red and vise verse. (I personally didn't like that) All with no direction or signage and staff just looking at you being confused. It is also self seating. The ladies at the check in desk weren't very friendly, as well as at the pouring station. I get they probably get rude clientele but we weren't them =(( We ordered some charcuterie and hummus to have with our wine and we actually did not get the hummus till over an hour later. We had to tell our coordinator. I'm sure they made it and forgot because the pita was rock hard and vegetables dehydrated. Why they didn't make a new tray I don't understand. Also considering the type of establishment, why does the charcuterie come on a baking tray with baked on grease? Wine selection though, great!

So they got $7 out of me instead of $40 or $50. Great business decision guys! For years I've shopped at Total Wine about once a month in the hopes of picking up a couple of 1.5 -litre bottles, along with my usual wine and beer favorites. They've seldom had more than one or two bottles (often none) of ANY size Taylor Dry Sherry, much less the 1.5-litre size. I spoke to a manager about it once, and he says they don't stock a lot of it, because not many people buy it. (Duh. They don't buy it because it's NEVER IN STOCK!) He then suggested that I order it online and just come to the store to pick it up. So I tried that. I went online to order it, and it said "not in stock". After all this time, I'm finally giving up -- they haven't had it in stock for over six weeks now! Although Mink's Liquor Store on Delk Road is a little more of a drive, I've finally switched over. They had plenty in stock, along with the other beverages my household usually drinks, and I've found that it's even cheaper there!
