The improved speed and performance have been excellent, but what truly sets Duncan apart is the exceptional customer service. Emily stayed on top of every detail throughout the process, and her communication was outstanding. The installation crew arrived on time, was professional, friendly, and completed the work efficiently. After the installation, we needed to replace our router and ran into some difficulties getting everything set up. To our surprise, Mr. Duncan personally called me on Sunday, July 5, to see if he could help. Then, first thing Monday morning, he had a crew at our home to make sure everything was working properly. We own our house but live out of state. Duncan is always extremely responsive and helpful whenever we need something or have an issue. Most recently we had a power outage and they made sure everything was set back to normal, coordinating with our property manager and even following up with us a few days after the fix to ensure there were no ongoing issues. Known the owner Cliff Duncan since my childhood downtown & his manager Bonnie has done a great job with assistance. Thought the recent snow storm was the reason for my recent outage. We were lucky enough to get Duncan Cable's Fiber-To-The-Home installed in October 2020. It is night and day better than their "broadband" 12Mb/1Mb cable - which was literally unusable for us, and thoroughly deserves a 1 star rating. Your phone will upload 15x faster! Coming from Fios Gigabit in NJ, I was skeptical that 50Mb/30Mb would work for us. But it's actually fully usable for a family working and schooling from home all day. it has enabled us to work here in Vermont, which is literally life changing. Apart from the long wait to get it, the install was perfect. They took down the old coax strung over the driveway and used the underground conduit for the fiber. Worked first time with a strong signal direct from here to their premises. Lowest latency to Netflix I've ever seen too! Compared to the gigabit plans available in most metro areas, it's still "behind" in both speed and price - which is annoying because the modem and infrastructure is fully capable of delivering it. If they open up a full gigabit plan, then they'll get the full 5 stars for me. Anyway, if you're in the Valley, and Duncan FTTH is available to your home - just get it. It's a no-brainer. read more

Horrible service any way you slice it! What do you expect from a service that has little to no competition. I get speeds (maybe I should call them "slows") of .5 Mbps. There is always some excuse that makes it look like the customers fault. 1 star is way to generous. If you have another choice, go with it. Oh...and if you want to meet the owner, he is the one who comes to your house to address your poor service. Cliff Duncan will deliver you way more excuses than actual service. Please sell to someone who actually can provide better service. As I write this, the Internet has been down for 3 days. My phone works as a better hotspot than Duncan Cable. read more

Horrible internet speeds crashes every weekend and guess what no one will answer your call until Monday. I would try any other service provider besides duncan. I swear to God dial up is faster. We have never got the bandwidth that we are paying for. We also only live 1/2 a mile from the Duncan property. So if our internet sucks that bad I can't imagine it is faster anywhere else. read more

Horrible internet and TV service. A few year back it wasn't so bad so I cancelled my phone service and got an internet phone. I can never get it to work because everyone else in the neighborhood is already connected. As people get newer TV's and other devices they have higher demands. Duncan hasn't got a chance of keeping up with even the most minimal demands at this point because they still have all the same old technology. They were great when cable TV was just that, Cable! They have no box, a TV guide that you have to wait 15 minutes to scroll itself through, and a terrible channel lineup. I pay a little more at home in NJ for probably 100x better service and options. Not to mention all phone calls included nationwide. Whenever I call about issues apparently I'm the only one complaining of course. Even though I pay for internet and it almost never works I never get any credit for services not rendered. The owner told me there isn't much interest in my neighborhood for fiber optics so they may not install it there. I replied that his service is so poor that most people in my neighborhood have satellite. He then told me satellite sometimes doesn't work and I said that's better then yours that never works. Maybe he should stop driving a service truck and concentrate on upgrading his business infrastructure. Then again, what do I know? read more
