Called on Friday, 10/10 - P and F closed until Tuesday, 10/14. Tried to work with LG technical support - impossible to do what they expected - have you unplugged the unit? How am I supposed to do that as a 66 year old woman - I cannot pull the unit out to unplug it and plug it back in?!?!?! Extremely frustrating!!! Heard from Haylee at P and F on Tuesday. She said that the extended warranty would not have covered what she believed to be a worn igniter switch. We scheduled an appointment to replace that part On Friday, 10/17. Technician arrived early and completed repair in a timely manner. He was very knowledgeable and answered our questions regarding the igniter switch and its replacement schedule. Appreciate the punctuality and professionalism of the P and F staff - still cannot comprehend that using an oven for its intended purpose - baking/roasting - wears out the very parts that should support those uses!!! My last gas range/oven lasted for 22 years - not 14 months!!! They didn't build it - I get that, but what a warped world we live in when appliances planned obsolesence kicks in at 14 months!!! I have to agree with other reviewers mentioning how awful the installation process went. What really buttered my biscuit was them telling me my 220v outlet was not working....so, I hired an electrician to come out to fix an outlet that turns out was working perfectly.....($189.95) minimum house call charge. Also they had issue with the drainage for my dishwasher.....had a plumber come out to tell me they only needed a $2.75 PCV flange to get past their installation Issue. This is not the experience I expected and apparently purchasing a Heavy Duty Washer and Dryer, a Refrigerator, a Dishwasher and an Induction Stove ( which came out to more than a couple bucks) all at the same time does not warrant sending out installation people with more than one installation under their belts. We really regret getting our appliances from Earl B. Feiden. We bought an LG fridge, along with a…read morenew dishwasher and induction range (all recommended by Wirecutter). The fridge was dead on arrival, so Feiden replaced it ... with another fridge that didn't work. They said they had no idea what the problem was, so we ultimately switched models. Ten days after the dishwasher was connected, it started showing an error message, and trying to get a technician out here to fix this brand new appliance has been a nightmare. Feiden doesn't seem to care that so many of its appliance are defective--everyone I've spoken to has shrugged their shoulders, as though this is all totally normal. I would avoid them at all costs.
