After been ignored for God knows how long with pending purchases of upwards a $1000 for some airplanes and batteries, I was invited to leave the store and then followed out of the store and threatened with violence by one of the owners. I've been shopping there for years and have spent a lot of money there over the years, I sound very nice, polite people at the other valley hobby stores both at Hobby Bench and Hobby Action. One of the co-owners has some real anger issues and really is not an asset to the company. Too bad. There's plenty of polite considerate, customer service elsewhere in the valley and worth the extra drive. Sooner or later, Duncan's RC will be out of business. Too bad! Employees at this shop are rude prices are high and they charge me for my car and didn't even fix it right. Do not give your hard earned money to this business it's plenty of rc shops around in the valley and give way better service than this shop. this place is a dream shop for anyone wanting R/C Cars, Boats, Planes and Rockets. Wow they have a selection. I was a steady customer till today. Today I got to see the owner melt down on a customer. Yelling as the customer left in silence. The Owner was screaming "Your banned, your banned from my store". All the guy said was "he didn't like getting treated like an idiot, and he had spent allot of money there". It was crazy, not the way to do business. Especially in this era of E commerce. I don't know how the guy getting yelled at felt.. but I was sad for everyone in the place. All my dealings in there have always been good till today. Scary. Wow, does Duncan brings back memories for my cousin and I. It does seem increasingly difficult to find good well-stocked hobby shops, especially for RC cars. In fact, I'm from Chicago and I really wish there was a shop like this by my house. We walked in and talked to Dan who was super helpful in guiding us through all our questions to get caught up on current RC racing. Half the shop is RC cars and the other half of the shop seems to be planes and helicopters. If you need just about anything related to RC hobbies, this is the place to go. read more

I believe the staff are very knowledgeable. The reason I give two stars is because I made a purchase yesterday (arena denton 4x4). Was not informed of the 6-10 hour charging time on the battery. So now I'm over an hour an a half away waiting on the battery to charge when I would have purchased a fast charger to allow me to enjoy the vehicle instead of waiting. Other then that I enjoy the store. Great stock. Many options to choose from. Just wish they would have told me about the battery so I could have .add a better purchase. read more

I bought a lipo battery from here thinking I'm getting a great deal! Hell no I get a warped batttery that is "brand new" ! So I'm thinking it's ok I can take it back because they sold it to me this way! Nope! Not much in the way of remotes or controls. The have a bunch parts but not for anything I needed. They had literally 1 micro drone and that's it for a fast growing trend. The parts they had were for cheap items. I personally make the drive 3 hrs to the valley to get what I need now. Otherwise I order online. I prefer to keep my money in the town I live in but in this case you're not helping the community. read more

Highly disappointed in this place. Seemed like it was going to be my new place where I would be a regular having moved from out of town. Bought a few items within the first few days eflite umx turbo timber a battery a battery charger.. so not much, but a couple hundred dollars. (Although given the current crisis if I was a business owner I would be far more appreciative than these folks were) the turbo timber was defective. Started smoking and burning so I shook the plane away from my face, naturally. It cracked at the rear. Zero other damage. No crashes. No flights. Nothing. The manager there refused to help me. He told me that because it was cracked and it was fixed, I said sir I didn't fix it. I just placed it in the box and cane here directly this is all within 24 hrs. Ultimately he refused. For that, I'm disappointed. It's very easy to be understanding and generous with "listening" and understanding that the plane is in perfect condition cosmetically and this is not a case of ... I don't know what I'm doing so I crashed the plane so give me another one. However that's how he treated me and now I have to go through horizon hobby directly. As a warranty issue. I mean I figured this would be clear. Anyway. W ecommerce as strong as it is I was surprised that this managers incompetence was there. I understand folks that are awesome and work their asses off have a hard time staying in business because of the current status of the world. Folks that are like this place, well I'm sure they would disappear from commerce much quicker anyway. read more

My nephew and I both bought an arrma outcast RC truck, he went with tower hobbies online and I went with Duncan's because the guy assured me their customer service was top notch and they would cover warranty issues in store. I spent $700 with them as opposed to $590 at tower but since I'm new to RCs I thought the customer service and convenience of walking in would be worth the money. Well sure enough my steering servo (which is covered by warranty because arrma is replacing it) went out. I called Duncan's and the guy was rude and told me that the servo was not covered. I explained that it is and he just said sorry Man i have one I can sell you. He was belittling to me and I will never ever go back to them, I'm sorry I spent so much money with them already. I don't know the guys name but he's a thin young guy with a full tattoo sleeve on his right arm. Like I said very friendly when I spent $700 super rude when I actually needed their "top notch" customer service. And tower hobby's has been calling my nephew just to check and see all is fine with his truck. Please stay away from these guys. I do see other positive reviews on yelp but that just wasn't my experience with Duncan's RC. read more
