We were also recommended by our neighbors so I decided to check it out. They also happened to take my current insurance so that made the decision pretty easy. I've gone a few times now for my biannual cleanings and a crown. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the communication from Tina who works their front desk and coordinates their appointments. I didn't know what to expect changing dentists but my experience has certainly been different from my previous Dentist. I've noticed that after each appointment I am asked if I want to get a fluoride treatment, since it isn't covered by my insurance they say each time. Each time I've declined then I'm reminded why it's recommended. I understand why they may feel it is important to have that treatment but isn't something I'd like to do. I also found it interesting that they take my blood pressure for a dental appointment, a new experience for me as well. Lately, I've been on the fence about going back to them. I found I feel a little uncomfortable at my appointments and am not quite sure how to describe it. My dental cleanings seem fine enough but my crown appointment I felt myself wishing I had gone somewhere else. Mainly because the temporary crown wasn't secured enough and popped out even when being careful. I should have said something at that appointment that I felt like there wasn't enough glue but I trusted that they did have enough to secure it for the couple weeks needed. I went back so they can secure it and they said I could have purchased something OTC to adhere it until my next appointment. Since then the crown has been okay, sometimes I'm unsure if it's secure but it hasn't come out so that's promising. I certainly think Husker Dental has great staff and the Doctor is a great doctor but I'm wondering if they just aren't a great fit for me specifically and what I seek in care. I may be looking elsewhere to find a Dentist that meats more of my holistic, natural care paired with Western care to provide the kind of Dental care I'm looking for.

Unfortunately they were…read morenot careful in the removal process and I now have palladium/mercury poisoning and need to have chelation IV therapy to remove the heavy metals in my blood due to a chronic high platelet count. My platelet count was fine prior to my visit with Dr Hascall. My hematologist now wants to do a bone marrow biopsy to check for cancer. Stay far alway from this place for any removal of old fillings. Also, Dr Hascall seemed to be more concerned if I was fully vaxxed, which was none of his business.

I went to see him earlier this year at…read morethe urging of my mom as the veneer on my front tooth had come off at least four times over the last couple years. First, he was able to temporarily put the veneer back on (in a way that was much straighter than was done previously) and then diagnosed that an infection had developed around that tooth due to a previous root canal. He referred me to an excellent Endodontic Surgeon for an Apicoectomy which solved the infection and then re-did the root canal and properly whitened the underlying tooth so that my front teeth match more properly. Super nice guy and highly recommend!

However, our main issue was with the way treatment and costs were communicated. My husband was verbally told that his insurance would cover certain procedures and trusted what he was told. He didn't fully read the paperwork he signed, which acknowledged understanding the risks, costs, and that he would be responsible for payment upfront. Unfortunately, this was not clearly explained, and the written agreement did not match the verbal information he received. When we called to clarify, the office was unhelpful and seemed confused, stating that they only provide estimates and do not handle insurance directly. This left us feeling misled, as the information we were given in person suggested otherwise. For someone who relies on verbal explanations, this experience was frustrating and, in our opinion, not transparent. We ultimately decided to cancel the appointment and will not be returning. While the staff was courteous and scheduling was convenient, the lack of clear communication about insurance and costs made this a negative experience.
