We decided to take a different route on the way home from Bok Tower Gardens, and stumbled across Dundee Downtown Pizza, a mom and pop shop with friendly staff and a good looking menu. We checked out the venue and decided to take a chance on it and we are very happy that we did. The staff already helpful in answering a couple of our questions and also suggesting some of the items. The garlic knots were fantastic although I definitely recommend eating them quickly because there is a generous amount of garlic butter on them and the couple we left to the end we're a little bit more soggy. Although the first few were perfec. As other people have mentioned the burger was massive and tasted great, we will not expecting such a unique bun which made the burger even better. Unsurprisingly we were interested in getting a pizza and after the success of the garlic knots, we knew the pizzas would be great. I opted for pizza I pasty of not seen before which was the lasagna Pizza, as my favorite pasta dish I thought this was a no-brainer. The pizza had ricotta and pieces of beef on it. It was tasty, unique and I believe that any pizza is improved by the addition of ricotta so I was already sold. The pizza was a good size and I even took a couple of slices home. On top of everything else there was also an ice cream counter in the small venue, I can atest to the fact that however full I am there is always room for a sweet treat. It was wide variety of different ice cream flavors and I struggled to know what to choose. Overall we were very happy with our experience and did not expect to find something like this hiding on an alternate route we took due to traffic. I tried this place years ago and was upset over customer service when i called in my pizza. Recently my mom got some wings and liked them so i thought lets take another chance. NEVER AGAIN!! We bought 1 small pizza, side of fries, 50 wings, grilled chicken salad, and a eggplant parm sub. We order online and told pick up would be 7:00-7:10 (which would give then 30-40 min cooking time) arrive at 6:56 The girl upfront said it should be out soon she sees they are working on it. 7:13 i look at my phone and im like well its been awhile but we did get there a little early and still only 3 min past quoted time but i ask the girl updfront she says everything is done except the wings. 7:25 i finally ask another person who came out from the kitchen did she know how long it would be she shrugged her shoulders and said "you ordered a lot of wings" to my response was i was told the rest of the food is done and i hope its not cold. She ignored me now im pissed off. Finally they bring out the sub, pizza, salad, and 20 wings. Sub is isnt hot but not extremely cold fries that came with the sub are cold but i dont even complain because i wasnt planning on eating them. Get out to the car and i said to my husband the large side of fries is missing. He goes back in they said oh let us make them. We finally leave out of there 7:39. There was no im so sorry, no hey would you like a drink while you wait or here is a free dessert. Not that i wanted anything free but literally its not even busy there i just spent 140 on food and their customer service was absolutely disgusting. Pizza was cold, and my sub was of course soggy gave the dog 70% of the sub. How this place is still in business i have zero clue. We made a visit to Dundee Pizza on Valentines Day for lunch. My husband enjoyed a Western BBQ Burger with seasoned French fries. The burger was huge and more than he could eat. It has BBQ sauce and a fried onion ring on top. He enjoyed it as well as the seasoned fries. I ordered a cheesesteak and onion rings. The breading on the onion rings was very thick and the cheesesteak did not seem to have aloe or meat. Mostly veggies and cheese. We also had fountain drinks which we refilled. Tables were clean. We dined in. Got a box to go for what we did not eat. Not too busy other than a paving crew that had come in for pizza. Food was hot but it did take awhile. read more

Let's start out with the people of this establishment. They are beautiful people with BIG hearts. Really shined for us the whole time we were there. Now for this incredible pizza they brought out to us. We got half pepperoni and half cheese. We also got some garlic knots. The pizza could have been a little crispier but it really had a lot of flavor and great portions. The building was clean and a lot of room for seating. Had some good character as well. Excellent pizza and cheese steak. Being from Philly it's hard and challenging to find an establishment worthy of the name cheese steak and decent pizza. My only comment is that being so prominent with cheese steaks and pizza you would think real ketchup, Heinz, be used to compliment the fries and the steak sandwiches. Have no idea where to start. Ordered a X-large Pizza with xtra cheese and 1/2 onion on it. Also wanted it well done. Pizza arrived took it to the kitchen open the box and behold Here is what I received asked for xtra cheese nope just looked like reg to me. As Far as the onion could they afford to put the onions on. To start when we tried to phone in our order and were put on hold immediately. This can be very frustrating but is usually a good sign of a popular Pizzeria. However after 30 minutes of remaining on hold which was an unreasonable wait time I decided to go into the restaurant place an order. A face-to-face is usually quicker. Upon walking into the establishment the gentleman that was making the pizzas, and taking the orders didn't make me feel very welcomed. He was making pizza while wearing shower shoes and black socks. As I walked in the delivery kid was being chewed out for something. After getting his, he also didn't make you feel very welcome and had not paid attention and was trying to charge me again for food I'd already paid for. Got the pizzas home only to be disappointed the Supreme tasted like soggy cardboard. The vegetables didn't look very good nor appetizing. No telling how old they, not vibrant in color. Meat pizza was like wet noddles and very disgusting.
