Giving this place 2 stars because the garlic bread was decent. I ordered a large cheese pizza and their chicken Alfredo. Both did not taste good and went straight to the garbage. Highly disappointed. The Alfredo tasted store bought Alfredo sauce. And the spaghetti pasta just didn't fit well. The pizza sauce was sweet, the dough was thin. Just felt like cheese and crackers. My friend and I love Dora's. The food is fantastic. Never had something we didn't care for. We usually start with the vegetable cheesy bread which is a meal in itself! Service...spectacular! When I saw the Yelp reviews for Dora's I knew I had to go. Thin crust had me hooked immediately. I'm a thin crust fan and this was very good. The sauce, cheese and pepperoni were in perfect harmony and delicious. Our service was quick and attentive. 1st time customer went to restaurant at 735pm restaurant clises at 8pm. Was told they close in 15 minutes so they would not serve us. When you close at 8pm you serve guests until 8pm. I will never go there again. You lost a customer with your poor service. read more

The I found a slice of NYC tucked between a tire store and barber shop on route 27 in Haines City, Florida. The Pizza, pasta and other authentic dishes served up with French hospitality bought my taste buds back to Little Italy (or whatever pizza palor my fellow New Yorkers may interject). I ordered to go pasta and let me tell you, some of the best I've ever had. We got lasagna and the bolognese and both were amazing with very large portions especially for the cost. We ordered my daughter the kids pasta and it was just about as much food as the adult's portion. The service was fast and very friendly. We were sat fairly quickly. I believe the owner was the one who sat us. She was very pleasant and attentive to my son. Again, that's always a plus for me! We ordered our usual pepperoni and bacon. A small pie has about 8 slices. It took about 15 minutes to bake. It was baked to perfection! The crust was thin and crispy. If I didn't have to share the pie with my son, I probably would have eaten it all by myself! Will come back time and time again for pizza and also, to try some of their Italian dishes! While I would not say it's a great pizza or even a particularly good pizza, it is an okay pizza and the price tag is definitely competitive. Dora's Pizza is located on Highway 27 and again, it is a small place. There are a few tables, but I usually get my pizza to-go. I am from New Jersey and grew up with amazing pizza pretty much on every corner. When I moved to Florida back in 2001, I was both surprised and just made to find a great pizza was not on every corner. In fact, it was off and I couldn't find great pizza in a single town. Been wanting to try this place because of the great reviews on Facebook. Walked in and was immediately greeted by a pleasant lady. The inside is has a very cute decor. We started by sharing an antipasto which was plenty for 2 to share and very tasty I might add. Even though they were busy with takeout orders the food came quickly. I had the meatball sandwich and it was yummy. My friend had the pizza which had a thin crust (not my thing but is my friends favorite type of crust) she said she loves it. . It was full of toppings. My first trip to Dora's was for take out, and it was a fantastic experience. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was completely full. People were waiting for a table. The person who took my order was kind and composed. I arrived 15 minutes early and the person at the register was gracious and friendly. I stepped outside to wait for my to-go order and waited. There food is outstanding, from their pizza, salads, and Italian dishes. My favorite is their lasagna. It's so good that sometimes they run out so get there early! Very small dining area, but they do a big takeout business. The service has always been excellent, and the French cook knows how to cook Italian! You will not be disappointed. read more

Picked up dinner from here when the SO and I were in the area visiting friends this past weekend. The place was quite busy and my attempts to call in our order ahead of time had failed because nobody picked up the few times I had tried to call. Nevertheless, the cashier took our order and told us to come back in about 40 minutes' time, which was enough to finish our errands. Their pizzas come in a variety of sizes and styles. I opted for a 10" pie with mushrooms and banana peppers, and we got several other pizza pies for the rest of our party. Unfortunately, the cashier must have misheard us because my pie came with pepperoni instead of banana peppers, but I was at least able to pick off all the pepperonis. The pies themselves were pretty good, and our entire party was pleased with their selections. I liked how crispy and thin the pies were. Also, the prices were pretty good as well. I do wish they had some sort of online ordering system set up, but aside from that, definitely a good local place to check out if you happen to be in this part of FL. read more

First time at this pizzeria. I was surprise the pizza was so thin. It felt like a flat bread instead of a pizza. Flavor was a bit bland since it really had no bite to it. Wow, what a great find! A small family run Italian restaurant with excellent pizza and plenty of other great dishes to choose from too.

We are fairly new to Florida and always try to support local businesses, so we were excited to find a small local restaurant to try. We got a takeaway pizza and a Chicken Dora. My wife said the pizza was okay but probably wouldn't order again. I ate the pasta. It was the most bland flavorless pasta I've ever had. I am still not sure that what I got was chicken even though when I called back in they assured me it was chicken. If I had to guess it was some sort of flavorless whitefish soaked in a flavorless pink sauce. The meat broke apart in a very flaky way that I've never seen in any chicken but is common in fish. I cannot recommend eating at this restaurant. read more
