I'd put the meals I've had there up against any famous big city dining establishment. The lodging for out of town guests may be one of my favorite amenities. We will not be coming back for obvious reasons.

The back 9 is much more fun to play with water on almost every hole, 2 par fives and 4 par threes. The course consistently struggles to be in great shape with the greens patchy and sandy quite often. However, when the course is in good shape it is one of my favorite courses to play.

I added this course to my go-to list to play - such a great deal! You should play here if you need a course to play in the Largo area!

First off, this is the ugliest clubhouse I've ever entered. Think Little Rascals He Man Woman Hater's Club if you're that much into club houses. Ugly brown crown molding, ratty carpeting, ugly beige walls and exposed wood ceilings. The lobby looks like a mausoleum too. After the ceremony in a non cool room (idiots turned on the heat by mistake), we were sent into the reception area, which was the south room and adjoining spaces. At least they actually had on the AC in here. Open bar and passed canapés as one would expect. Some of these canapés including bacon wrapped scallops stand out because they were AWFUL!! I almost spit out the spinach pie; I should've known better when I saw them drizzled with heaven knows what. Scallops over cooked and lousy...at least there was an open bar. After two dark rum and colas, I even had enough of that; cheap lo-rent swill. Salad was simple mixed greens with a slice of cuke, some red onion and a couple of CHILLED cherry tomatoes. Well, there was the next sign that the kitchen doesn't know what it's doing. Tomatoes are supposed to be room temperature; period. Dressing stop said salad was nondescript. For entrees the Queen Bee had crab stuffed grouper and I had filet mignon. Filet was bland but had a halfway decent demiglaze with it. Queen Bee didn't care for her grouper. Everyone else at the table seemed more or less okay with it. To be fair, I didn't try the stuff. Both entrees were accompanied by overcooked asparagus and bland rice pilaf. Blech! I'm sure the wedding party paid good money for this stuff. If this is any sign of how their dining rooms are, then kindly include me OUT of this club. I'd rather graze on the grass from the 10th fairway. The desserts you see are provided by an outside bakery so nothing to say here. Not really much worthwhile or positive to say about having a function here, either. Have it at Chuck E. Cheese or a bowling alley instead! Eh!!

The swirl slide we took moves really slow so you have to push yourself at some point to keep moving forward down the slide. People were coming down quickly after you would get off the slides they got kind of close to landing in the water by us. The straight down slide you catch air midway, especially for a little kids you kinda stopped, touching the slide at one point. Now for the smaller kid area it was perfect for my five year old. They had little slides over there and even a medium kid slide as soon as you walk up nice splash pad a lot more slow pace and relaxing. they do have lifejackets there if needed for children. They also have a café where they serve Domino's Pizza and other snacks and drink options which we did get some Gatorade's and a whole Domino's Pizza, and for the price it wasn't bad.

This park includes three distinct environments... beach, freshwater marshes and forest all very close to each other, with easy-to-follow unmarked trails and clean public bathrooms. We walked and explored and enjoyed for several hours, seeing osprey with young chicks, a pileated woodpecker, herons, ducks, a variety of stunning warblers, a loggerhead shrike and more! We also saw a variety of native butterflies and plants/trees/flowers, so I contributed those identifications since that's more my area of expertise. I was thrilled to see, for the first time in my life, the elusive Blue-Winged Warbler! Score! While I didn't obtain a photo, the sighting was definite and confirmed by my friend / guide / birding expert! Life is great when a small group of friends explore a beautiful and serene park, taking our time to really take it all in and as a bonus, I am able to add to my growing bird life list.

If I could give zero stars I would. Rudest person tonight closing up. Played here multiple times, just spent $200 here and brought family from out of town... the guy was yelling at us on the last hole, said we had to be off the course at 5:30, which no one told us prior to that. What a waste, feeling like that at the end of the day. Wont be back! read more

This is a shorter course than most, but that is part of its fun. Forget the driver for this course (maybe for three or four holes max), solid iron play is the name of the game on this course. This is a full service golf course in a 55+ retirement community, complete with an aqua driving range, pro shop, and a club house. There is no beverage cart, but you can stop at Vesh's at the turn if you need food or drink. They have a full bar and decent grub. I recommend their hamburgers. The course does have some holes that don't drain well (4th especially) so the fairways can be slow and cart path only during the rainy summer months. The greens are usually in decent shape, but this is not The Ocean course at Hammock Beach nor is this World Woods, so don't expect tour quality conditions. Instead, expect a challenging course, in a semi-rural setting with plenty of woods (that will eat your ball on a miss shot so bring plenty of extras), a friendly staff, and 3 to 4 hours enjoying a great past-time. Tip: GolfNow will occasionally run a Hot Deal special on 18 holes for under $30.

I had needed a set of golf clubs but didn't want to pay the price of the name brand or sporting goods stores. A friend recommended Ken's Golf and I am so glad they did. I bought a great set of clubs that were almost identical to the Callaways I had seen online. Ken made sure the sizing was correct and even recommended specific grips that more properly fit my hands. He told me he could put the new grips on in a couple of days, which he did after I purchased the clubs. Ken has a practice area right in the store where I could swing my new clubs and get a feel for how great they would be on the course. I also ended up purchasing a gently used golf bag and pull cart for a fraction of the price of what they were new.
