Oh Dunedin Market how I love you. I am so happy to see new and some vendors from years past have showed up at the first week of the market. While the market has been around for many years now, I think this rebirth is a breath of fresh air! Sadly the market was getting sad and pointless but there is joy to be found at the market again. There are so many great vendors here. I love getting fresh produce from local organic vendors. My favorite vendor Glen of Le Petite Crepes is there on Friday only.

I'm intimately involved with Green Market as my Dunedin City committee provides an information table on Fridays. (Nov-Apr) I know most of the vendors and their products. II enjoy coming down and just hanging out on Saturdays. My granddaughter loves it as well! She has her faves like the "Honey Man" & the "Sweet Ida Mae's Ladies!" There are also some healthy products besides the produce offered here! Some unique craft vendors also reside here. I have to say that one vendor sells purses, backpacks, wallets, book covers, and bags made of ship sails! There can't be a better gift coming from "Paradise!" We own several different pieces. I believe Green Market is one of Dunedin's signature offerings. It's right on the corner of Main & Douglas so you can also walk around the local shops and try the cafes, restaurants, and pubs! It's not St Pete's Farmers Market but it's Dunedin's. That alone makes it special!

Wonderful venders, I do think they should have a better webpage. There was no way to find out that there was no market last weekend

I am ashamed to say I have lived here in Dunedin for so long and never went to the Saturday Morning Market until this past weekend.

It's a small outdoor market held Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Dunedin. Since I arrived right at opening, it was pretty quiet, which made it nice to walk around and browse the vendors. The market itself is on the smaller side, but it has a really charming feel and fits perfectly with Dunedin's quaint, walkable small-town vibe. The community atmosphere felt very friendly, and there were a variety of vendors selling food, local goods, and other items. I only had time for a quick visit this time but still ended up picking up a few things. Next time I plan to stay longer, try some of the food vendors, and explore more of the booths. I'll definitely be back and will update my review after a longer visit.

This is evident by the huge Highland Games and Festival held in nearby Highlander Park every April which hosts hundreds of guests. There are so many restaurants, breweries, gift shops, art galleries and museums that you will definitely find something that interests you. It's a fun place to visit during the day and at night. I highly suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes. It's a close walk to the marina and St Joseph's Sound as well and It's gorgeous views. Some of the more popular gift shops are Tipsy Mermaids, Our House and Spoiled Rotten. Among some of the best restaurants are Crown&Bull, Seariders Restaurant and my personal favorite since I got married there, Bon Appetit which is located right on the water with beautiful views. If you're looking for some delicious desserts look no further than Kookie Krums, Strachan's Ice Cream and desserts or Ice&Cream Creamery. If you are a Beatles fan you will find the Penny Lane Beatles Museum here. Downtown Dunedin is also the home to many arts and crafts festivals held throughout the year. Parking can be found in the Monroe Street parking garage. There are also many nice hotels nearby in case you're interested in spending some time there. Beaches are super close and easy accessible.

After some searching, we came to find out that there is a local, hidden, unmarked farm right here in Clearwater! What!? This town is all about houses, apartments, strip malls, a massive beach, tourists, and a dead downtown area! Who knew there is an organic vegetable farm right here!? I found out the hours are extremely limited on just Friday and Saturday. So, we GPS'd our way here and saw a driveway through a fence in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Ok then! We drove in, saw an operating farm and parked. We were the only folks there other then the young lady Brittney and her younger sister (?) plus their dog who came out to help us. She gave us a card and said, their sales are designed to be done online. You sign up for either weekly or biweekly veggies. You can select a full share or a half share. Then, you just pick 'em up! They pick the veggies based on what is available! Surprise! Since this was Florida summer, no veggies were available because they won't grow during summer. For fun, I bought a small able-to-survive-Florida-summer spinach plant and will now try to grow it! They also carry grass-fed organic beef and organic chicken sourced from other nearby partner farms. It's all frozen. We were exploring today so I didn't buy any but we will some day! Can't wait to come back when they have veggies available! Life is good with a local farm!

Spent $15 for one pound of burger. It wasn't edible. Terrible. Threw it away. Won't be going back.read more
