Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and authentic. We ended up spending hours enjoying the rooftop atmosphere, and every staff member we interacted with made sure we had everything we needed. I can't say enough great things about Hannah and her team. I ordered a Moscow Mule while my partner enjoyed an Aperol Spritz. The bartender suggested trying the Hibiscus Mule, and it was a fantastic recommendation--a refreshing twist on one of my favorite cocktails. Between the outstanding service, delicious drinks, breathtaking rooftop views, and welcoming atmosphere, we had an incredible evening. It is seriously the BEST pina colada I have ever had. They use a simple mix and a dark rum, but it tasted like heaven. The ice was perfectly blended and since we were inside, they give you a straw (I can understand that many seagulls probably choke on straws that are carelessly strewn on the beach from the tiki bar customers). And lets face it, pina coladas were made for drinking with a straw. When I mentioned that this was the best pina colada I had ever had to the bar tender as I ordered a second one, she drizzled more rum on top! I was a very happy, very tipsy customer after that pina colada. This bar is just as good, or better than the famed tiki bar at the beach... They also tend to run out of the pina colada mix at the tiki bar (but still serve the drink with half the mix!!) and gave me a bit of attitude instead of explaining why I can't get a straw when I asked for one. There are a couple of TVs in one of the larger rooms - that coupled with $2 mimosas on Sundays makes this a solid spot for Sunday funday fans. Like the neighboring businesses, the Patio Lounge backs up to the Pinellas Trail, which although is not a new thing, provides a peaceful walk from the bar to the other bars (or the parking garage). I don't make it out to Dunedin very often these days but if I do, I would definitely return to TPL.

The male bartender was only interested in serving you if you want to buy a lot of shots. So he could stand on a step stool dance around and pour them like he was in coyote ugly. Such a disappointment. The music was good although loud but good. The vibe until the bartender had a meltdown and started throwing a tantrum with another patron was enjoyable. Who screams and yells at a person for asking for a beverage when you are in fact there to serve them beverages!? Hopefully but doubtful they will make a change.

This area in general is not what you would call a nightlife spot or party area! St. Pete. was once the capital of the United States for retirees and old folks, still is in certain areas. Tampa is certainly a drab and one of my least favorite cities in the U.S., basically they have Ybor which is dangerous at night and way too ghetto, Tampa sucks beyond belief and have horrendous daily traffic coming and going. I grew up in St Pete. Beach as a kid and lived on the water for 18 years, its a nice area but quite pricey and definitely not for young people to live, young couples could not afford the taxes or insurances unless they are doctors or born into major money! I enjoyed it in St Pete. Beach but there is little to no nightlife. Treasure Island and Madeira Beach are the same, boring small beach communities for retirees. Downtown St. Pete would be the area to live if money is not an issue, Beach Drive is fun and there is always something going on down there, waterfront high rise condos range from $1 million to many million though, so once again not for everyone! Now for Clearwater Beach, its one of the areas nicer beaches, its good for kids because Pier 60 have things going on for families and geared towards young children, in my opinion Shephard's is the closest thing we have to a traditional Miami Beach club, don't get me wrong its no where near what you would call a fun Miami club, its just the closest thing we have! Parking is expensive, drinks are overpriced and the crowd is very, very young, immature and issues do happen here. This is not a couples type of place to go or for anyone over the age of 25 Lol, my friend who I work with went and he is 24, a bouncer called him an old man for being 24 at there night club recently, so that shows you how young the partygoers are. I went once and never again, the music was pop/rap and techno which gave me a splitting headache, the immaturity inside was also not helping my headache, its certainly a moneymaker for the owner, being the only club around on the beach it does get plenty of partyers to attend on the weekends, but if you have been to real clubs in Miami, Spain, Mexico, etc. this place doesn't begin to compare. When you live in a retiree area that has nothing but tourists and elderly locals living on the beach its rare just to find a decent hangout, I also noticed a lot more guys go here than girls, so the bartender called this club a sausage party Lol, the bartenders were cool but the drinks seemed high and my friends all complained about the prices, I don't drink so what they charge means nothing to me. I wish this area had a salsa club or something geared towards the Latin lifestyle, its sooooooo boring here and hopefully someone comes up with a new idea. read more

Actually, I give this place -10 for their racist security. My 20 year old African-American son accompanied me, my wife and mother-in-law here to join my stepson's wedding party for a post recepiton party. My son was given a minor's wrist band. Some drunk Caucasian asshole from the wedding party ripped the band off his arm. My son went to the restroom and, upon exiting, was confronted by a security prick with Napolean Syndrome, kicking him out because of "sneaking in". The drunk asshole who ripped his band off admitted to the security prick what he did. However, the bearded mental midget of a security prick played the "only doing my job" card. Long story short, we all got to stay, because we demanded to speak to the prick security's supervisor and that we demanded our money back for only being there a little more than 10 minutes. Of course, the prick security guy didn't inform his supervisor that we wanted to speak to him/her, nor did he confront or kick out the Caucasuan drunk a-hole who tore off the wristband. I have a gut feeling that if my son were Caucasian, the bearded security prick with Napolean Complex would've turned the other cheek. Avoid this place and patronize an establishment that respects the customers instead of targeting them. read more

WORST nightclub there is on the causeway. Will never be going back. Straight trash. Trashy racist bouncer. Friend and I from out of town were going here because our hotel was close in walking distance. Bouncer seemed very unfriendly from the get go. His names Bill. Friend who is 22 hands her license to him and he immediately begins to question if it's her because she has brown hair in the license photo and blonde hair now. Clearly can see some brown roots. She explained she's a cosmetologist and likes to switch her hair up. And of course the photo is old. He didn't believe it was her. So I hand him mine. He comes out from behind the podium and bends his head down by my legs looking me up and down. Feeling very uncomfortable because I was in a dress. So by that time I'm disgusted with the racist pig. I said give me my license back we will be leaving. He holds them to his chest and says no I'm calling an officer. We went through a bunch of hell just to get the licenses back because this FOOL can't do his job right. And to top it off the manager working that night was disrespectful towards us. Very harassing and awful hotel/nightclub. Don't go there unless you want to experience an awful time. read more

I hated this shit. It was absolutely horrible....I hated the bouncer he was old and didn't know his shit. he was letting drunken 15 year olds in. They were acting like vicious animals. My friends and I went here to get bottle service and have a good time and it resulted in the bouncer saying my friend couldn't get in. I fucking hated this shit and I wouldn't tell anyone to even pull in the parking lot. Just turn right the fuck around. This is some dumb shit this is why we need Obama back to make America good again. this bouncer was a joke tho for real for real. The bouncer didn't know anything about ID's out of the area he had a huge binder full of examples. like bitch how did u get this job. also like bitch are u studying for ur midterm ? Really? this is what's "hot" or cool about Clearwater? A bunch of stoners & semi-over weight sloppy looking tourists? The food was ok. Some worker started giving me crap about wearing sneakers on the beach (Like maybe I have scarred feet?) & I was mocked & heckled by some drunken locals/guests? Seriously I've seen better clubs & respectable people at the New Jersey shore! it's a Wealthy Area mixed with creepy drunken guests - No Class in my opinion. They had some annoying guy singing with a guitar on a stage (singing top 40s swill) So you couldn't even enjoy the beach unless you had headphones. Everything was over-priced & made to sell to tourists. If you like sloppy burned out drunken idiots Shepards is your place. Do Your Research - Save your Money!!! I'd have escaped to some out of the way Holiday Inn if my place wasn't already paid for. This place is really awesome! I usually don't like clubs. My fiancé and I went on a double date with our friends and it was a blast. They are located right on the water. Valet on the weekends is $15 so that's not too bad. There is a concert like set up out side with multiple spots to get drinks. Bartenders are all super nice!!!!! Inside is really cool too. Two stories with lots of VIP sections. Everyone who works there were very nice to us. Great spot to party! read more

One of the few late night places to go in CLW, its definitely a place to go if you're just looking for a good time. Not too much of a meat market, but there are the predators out there. Most of the pple you find here are visitors who are staying out near the beach and dont' want to make the trip to Ybor since their hotel is close by. $10 cover which is pricer, but drinks aren't too bad. Place has a total 80s vibe w/ the neon "waves" that decorate it. read more

Being from Nebraska, we were not familiar with many of the songs. We did get out on the floor to do a couple that we know, and one of these was a different version, but there were a few others dancing the version we knew in a corner of the dance floor. Overall, a fun spot for a country dance night! There is not much seating, so you can expect to stand if you come late in the night.

For this reason the venue loses some credit with me. I'm my opinion it should get a 3.5 but since that's not a thing I rounded up to be generous. Now for my main review without the EDM fact: The drinks are fair enough prices, around $13 and they are strong. The bar service was very nice and all staff including security were friendly and even hit the dance floor a few times. The inside is super cool themed and a nice spot. Pool tables, darts, a nice bar, a dance floor and stage are all in the main area. Overall an excellent place to hangout and hear country music. The male bathrooms were a little awkward (most toilets with no stall doors??) but most of the small quirks can be overlooked. I would recommend coming here with a slight caveat, if you are coming for a specific event or themed night, don't get married to the idea. It might change or not meet expectations without any notice.

You just see boxes of beer stacked places, but I didn't feel like it wasn't clean or anything like that. There's tons of seating and this seems to be a place that locals come to hang out. They have dartboards as well. This is in a strip mall, but don't let that put you off. It does mean that there is tons of parking. The only drawback for me, personally, is that it's a smoking bar. As a non-smoker, I don't really care for smelling cigarette smoke while enjoying my food and drinks. Anoche fui víctima de un incidente donde mi hermana fue agredida, hubo testigos del incidente que demostraba que fue ella la víctima, no investigaron nada, nos pidieron que abandonaramos el local sin hacer averiguaciones. Las personas que provocaron el incidente quedaron como si fueran las víctimas. Mucha decepción e impotencia de mi parte, no tuve apoyo aún cuando el dueño del local Fernando me conoce por mucho tiempo. Es muy lamentable . No visitaré más el lugar al igual que todos mis amigos que un día recomendé. Es inseguro.

Lots of locals/regulars that take up most of the space but there are tables as well if needed. It is small overall, and smoking is allowed, but the bartenders are amazing and fellow patrons are very friendly. I am not sure if they are currently open after the storm, but I do hope they do open back up. It is a must when roaming the beach bars.
