Received a Christmas gift of a pair of Nikes with the WVU logo on them but they did not fit. We…read morecalled the number from where they were ordered from and they told us to go to this location to exchange or return them. We were told that they were in stock and we could try on a different size to make sure they'd fit. Once we got there, there was one other customer infront of us with one person behind the counter. Once the salesman was done helping the other customer he started helping us. We explained to him what the issue was and he was very helpful and polite. However, the shoe was not instock at that location and we weren't offered to try on a pair to make sure we got the correct size. I don't mean to say the salesman didn't do his job, the customer infront of us just kept butting in asking 50 million questions after the salesman was helping us. They did arrive at my home in less than a week and a lucky guess on the new size worked great.

Met a gentleman named Brian at the counter who adjusted the bow, helped me order new strings (and even told me how to get them cheaper elsewhere), showed me what else I might need/want, and then took me to a space within the store to let me shoot an arrow. He took the time to show me the ins and outs of how to hold the bow, make recommendations, and so on. One of things I want to commend him on is that he always asked if he could touch my body before adjusting my positioning. As a woman who has rarely (and unfortunately) had this basic question asked, I felt safe with Brian and very much appreciated him asking.

When I went in to purchase the boots on Friday, a different young lady checked me out. She too was polite and helpful. When I got home and tried on the boots to show my husband, I wasn't sure if they fit right or not. (You see I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis in my feet. If a shoe/boot doesn't fit right, it's not good.) So I headed back to Famous Footwear about 2 hours later. I took the boots I had purchased with me so I could compare. I said I needed them to compare sizes and my receipt was with the boots. THE CASHIER (associate #300423) THAT HAD CHECKED ME OUT JUST TWO HOURS EARLIER, TOOK MY PURCHASED BOOTS FROM ME. YES TOOK THEM RIGHT OUT OF MY HANDS! I was so taken back! I went on to try on the new size boots and walk around the store. Anyone who tries on shoes knows you need to know how two different sizes feel. So after trying to GUESS if I needed a different size by how the new ones felt, I finally went up to the desk where MY BOOTS (I had already paid for them) were and took one to compare with. After 5 minutes of walking around with two sizes on, I decided the ones I bought were probably the right ones. I then went and got my other boot. I walked around with them on and decided I would not be exchanging the boots for a new size. I then took my boots and my receipt and left. Let me clarify a few things, it was MY CHOICE to leave my boots at the register. Since only one other customer came in during the entire time, I would have thought those young ladies had plenty of time to help me, not make purchasing a new pair of boots of very negative experience.
