I bought a bow on a whim from an estate sale, having never done archery. Went in to Fin, Feather and Fur to see if the bow needed a tune up and if there would be anyone who could show me how to use it (I literally knew nothing). Met a gentleman named Brian at the counter who adjusted the bow, helped me order new strings (and even told me how to get them cheaper elsewhere), showed me what else I might need/want, and then took me to a space within the store to let me shoot an arrow. He took the time to show me the ins and outs of how to hold the bow, make recommendations, and so on. One of things I want to commend him on is that he always asked if he could touch my body before adjusting my positioning. Fin Feather Fur Outfitters has everything you need for any hunting/camping trip you have planned no matter what game you'll be hunting, or what environment you'll be it hunting in. Came here around the end of April 2018 looking to buy my first handgun to use for hunting white tail, wild boar, and/or coyote. I left a happy man, and found exactly what I was looking for. The staff were all very kind and polite, and showed knowledge of their trade; and unlike many, they didn't use there experience to talk down to you and critique your decisions. About the selection: they have a larger selection of firearms then anything I've seen in all of northeast Ohio, and believe me, I've been to about 15 other gun shops here. They also have a wide range of ammo that allows one to pick between different brands of rounds he/she may be looking for, depending on his/her intended purpose. For example, if you need 45 acp, you'll find $0.10 a round tulammo, diamond encrusted $1.50 Hornady ammo, and many in between for all common rounds. Unfortunately yet understandably, rarer or more specialized rounds are usually only sold through the best brands. When you buy say .454 casull or .460 S&W, you'll be stuck with buying high quality Hornady ammo. All in all, if your looking to buy a gun, bow, tent, knife, etc., Fin Feather Fur has you covered. This as people say is a great store but the customer service at the gun counter stinks . Last night I was there and was ignored by the staff standing there. This was not the first time either ,it has happened 2 other times and I went to another place and got my guns so now they have lost a third gun sale. The people here a great. It is a very busy store. Getting in and out of the lot is a challenge sometimes because of its location. My only real criticism is their hours. Be sure to call ahead. Some websites misrepresent the hours. I have been twice in the last week with cash in hand and have found them to be closed, forcing me to go to "the other guys" They keep some interesting hours for a retail business that is always packed when I am there. Stopped in today 4/15/20 I wanted to purchase a Kimber, not a cheap gun. They are doing a great job on Social Distancing *BUT* I understand you have to stay 6' away and they have X 's where you need to stand. I wanted to look at the Kimbers and a guy finished filling out the form to buy his gun then stood there for the next 10 minutes talking to the worker who helped him fill out the paperwork, so I was unable to look at the guns I was interested in, Im not the kinda person who says much I think me standing there looking at them should have been enough to get the idea I wanted to look......I said screw it and left, I was wanting to spend upwards of $700 on a gun, instead I will order off GunBroker. IMO if you want this to work, when you fill out the paperwork, have an area to do so not standing on the X to do it. In other words get out of the way!! read more

They add extra steps on the app for a firearm that the atf and federal government doesn't expect. Then act like you're an idiot because they want it different than what the form asks for. They may have a nice selection, but I will never purchase another firearm from them. I have found better prices and less aggravation else where. read more
