I purchased a Movie Man recliner by Ashley at Dunk and Bright on January 14, 2026 and it was delivered a few weeks later. I found that the lever on this recliner didn't work. Excessive force is required to get it to close. I asked for a repair or replacement. The repair man called saying it would be weeks for the part to come in and I said that I can't wait that long. It was replaced by an exact duplicate, even down to the color. The second one doesn't work either. It's an expensive piece of garbage that only my cat can use. I can't get the lever to work and if I push the end of the recliner with my foot so it will go back in, that doesn't work either. I called their store and was told that I won't get a refund of the white glove delivery fee. I kept saying over and over "but It doesn't work," to which the woman on the other and of the line kept repeating her mantra that it was delivered. Sorry, but that excuse doesn't work. This falls under not fit for ordinary use under warranty law. I shouldn't have to use excessive force to close it. I want a total refund. I paid $758.16 including tax and the white glove delivery fee. I also paid the delivery guys (first recliner) $40 in a tip. Altogether Dunk and Bright owes me $798.16. I want my money back NOW. My primary care provider told me to keep my legs elevated. I have lymphedema. I NEEDED this thing to work. I am disabled and am still recovering from major abdominal surgery. I am very angry. There isn't a rating low enough to apply. Had to give one star to continue with this review. We purchased a Flex Steel Power Recliner 3 1/2 years ago. Now I don't know about anyone else, but Id expect a "leather" recliner to last more than 3 1/2 years but not he case with ours. Within the first year the "leather" started peeling/breaking down and of course it was all due to consumer care according to Flex Steel but since it was within the 1st year of purchased it was repaired (not replaced) with new sections of material. About 5 months ago, the same thing started happening on the left side arm rest only much worse but this time because it was out of warranty, Flex Steel nor Dunk & Bright would not repair, replace or return for full credit. Through all this we discovered our "real" leather recliner is "bonded" leather. BIG difference and something that should have been brought to our attention at time of purchase. Now you may think its asking for a lot after 3 1/2 years to have this addressed with full coverage costs but honestly, do these two companies expect a customer to drop over $2,000.00 on a piece of furniture only to have the covering start breaking down after 3 1/2 years? I thought i was dealing with reputable companies but guess not. And as far as consumer care goes (our care), we purchased about 15 years ago an Ekrons Stressless "real" leather recliner and about 7 years ago a Natuzzi "real" leather recliner. The process of getting furniture from Dunk and Bright was a headache from start to finish. I would advise looking at other places if you want your furniture delivered in a timely fashion or you have the expectation of basic communication about your order. I ordered a couch from them in mid September and was told it would be ready at the end of the month. Then i was told the order was never put in. Mistakes happen, no worries. They tell me the couch order is in and it will be ready October 2nd. This date comes and goes and I hear nothing from them. I call and they say it will actually be ready October 9th. Again, this date comes and goes with no update from Dunk and Bright. I have to reach out several more times to get any information on my order and am told it will not be here until November. I understand delays happen--but I am seriously confused why I would have to reach out a total of five times myself (with zero communication from Dunk and Bright at any point letting me know my order was delayed). After all this, they cannot even put the delivery on the porch. I would recommend looking elsewhere where they will communicate with you and have the wherewithal to give you information when your order is delayed multiple times. read more

Update: Updating my review because Dunk and Bright did ultimately replace the damaged dresser which was much appreciated. The initial replacement that was sent was also damaged but just cosmetically so I kept it and they promised to replace it with a new one. This review has two parts. Delivery and support. 5 star support from Donna the delivery manager. 1 star for the execution of delivery as promised by dicing floor people. In short, I came with my friend to get 7 items he bought. 6 of 7 were ready. The seventh, headboard was broken, and it needed fixing/replacement and the delivery floor person PROMISED a Tuesday delievery. We called on Thursday to find out no one knew about it yet it was marked in paperwork. Then my friend got a salesman who told him it was scheduled for deliver end of month! Another fake narrative from a salesperson. So I called and got Donna. She made everything right a delievery is happening. Two days late but I'm sure she knew nothing about it but made it happen! Due to circumstances, I had to order an item on line. Everyone from the various online salespeople to the delivery guys were very friendly and accommodating. They were knowledgeable in their particular areas and tried to assist me. Understanding that we are going through trying times with worldwide delivery, I appreciated most of the personnel that I dealt with who looked into trying to make the process easier. Unfortunately, the woman who identified herself as the "e-commerce.... Blah blah blah" was difficult to deal with. I had 3 different occasions to speak with her and was quite insulted by her pompous attitude and very poor customer service skills. We are all experiencing difficulty in these times but I suggest sending her through a course in how to deal with the public. Your customer. Picked out furniture for our new house, from the discount area, so it was in stock & we didn't have to wait. (We were moving from out of state and had no furniture) I communicated this when we were there & that we needed it asap. We had to wait 5 days to get it delivered. They forgot to put 1/2 of it on the truck, and wouldn't bring the rest for another week!!! Even though they were at fault. The delivery guys were awful, banging things around, damaged the doorway into our 1900 home because they were rushing. (Mind you, my husband & I moved the piece into another room through the same doorway & had no problem clearing it without touching) I had to call SO many times to get things right & still 3 months later, no repair for the doorway. They obviously do not care about word of mouth, they offered no compensation for any of our issues, & I was respectful in my complaints, not rude at all. We went to the Cicero/Clay location in early July for a couch for our new home. We found a sectional we liked and the saleswoman told us she recommended to get the 2 seater sectional, even though we told her we wanted the 3 seater version. She then told us to order the 2 seater version and that if we did not like it, then we could call her to order an "extra seat" for the sectional. Well when the sectional was delivered a week later it was too small for our space and we went in person to order an extra seat for it as she instructed. She was not at work, but we spoke with the manager, Ben. Ben informed us that what she told us was incorrect and that they don't sell extra seats for sectionals and that we'd have to return our whole sectional and order a whole new one-if we wanted the 3 seat version. We were about to walk out and do so until he called us over again. This time Ben informed us that they can instead order us the 3 seated part of the sectional and have it delivered to us and he would let the saleswoman (who we initially worked with know and talk with her about the misinformation). A few weeks passed and we heard nothing about our order. We went back into the store and she was there but failed to recognize us. We informed her of what she had told us when she went to sell us the couch. She played it off as if she didn't remember it until she looked us up in her system and we were about to walk out. She then said Ben had never informed her and no one had told her any of the issues and that if they had-she would've called us right away about the new order. The new order was placed in July right when we got the original delivered. Every month we've called about it. At first they said it's in Canada and would be delivered each month. But each month they change their answers. It's now January and we still don't have our order and now they're saying it's coming from overseas. The quality of the furniture we selected is great, and the delivery men that helped us were incredible. However, it was not made clear to us when we purchased our furniture that Dunk and Bright would not contact us whatsoever. I had to call for all status updates, even when finding out our furniture was delayed. I brought this to the attention of the person who sold us our furniture, Grace, who told us that they "do not track everyone's shipments because there are too many" but are willing to look it up if a customer calls and asks about it. It's sad that a furniture store that large doesn't employ someone to notify customers how their shipments are is doing - especially when we were spending $6,000. Bottom line this store has No customer follow-up from the sales person Marie as to how your order is progressing or where it sits in line of production. I bought a bed from D&B and I was told by one of their salespersons that he had a bed exactly like the one I picked out already in route to their factory. Well after two weeks I haven't heard back from the store. I called them to get an update. Turns out that my order was never submitted and no such bed was ever ordered. I was very disappointed. They then told me that my order had been submitted. Two weeks later I check up again. This time I'm told that the bed will not be delivered on the date they gave me. In fact they told me that it usually takes up to 3 months for an order!!! Please don't be fooled by these guys. The prices are steep. They have a huge store, insidious salesman, and a crappy customer service. To prove I'm not an anomaly. A friend also ordered furniture from them. We needed a new book case. We found one we wanted. It was delivered on time, and was easy to assemble.

A series of misfortunate events, including the delivery truck getting in a major accident with a couple of my items in it, ended up getting rectified and resolved by the team at Dunk N Bright beyond my expectations. After the initial report of the delivery not happening six weeks ago due to a truck breakdown, and then finding out the next day that the truck was in an accident, to finding out the day after that the delivery crew nearly died in a horrific non-preventable accident, the fact the original reason was a half-truth didn't matter anymore. Thankfully I was finally able to speak with the warehouse manager Todd and was able to get the real account as to what happened with the delivery issue two days prior. Once Todd got involved and offered options to resolve the problem, it was as if he was the missing cog to a finely tuned machine. Needless to say, the one piece that I was going to finagle into my suv and move myself was the one piece that didn't make it out of the accident. However, even though my two piece order was sold as is, Todd was able to get approval for a new replacement that had to be ordered, along with upgraded white glove delivery for both items delivered on two separate occasions. As mentioned before, the solutions to the snafu were definitely above and beyond what was expected...and now we have a matching loveseat and recliner that look pretty pretty good in our small living area, all thanks to Todd and the rest of the awesome team at Dunk N Bright! Now I just need to find a gray heated blanket for the pups. LOL read more

I went to Dunk and Bright looking for a living room set and a mattress, box spring, and frame for my bedroom. As a result of the Covid pandemic only a few living room pieces were immediately available. Most required a wait of three months or longer. The salesman found a sofa and matching love seat that were in the warehouse and available for immediate delivery. I also chose a Karastan rug. When the delivery truck arrived, the bed was unloaded and set up. The two sofas were unloaded and set up. The oral agreement between the salesman and me included taking away the old mattress, but that was not in writing on the contract, and the delivery company refused to take the old mattress away because it was dirty. In addition, the rug was not delivered. I contacted Dunk and Bright and am waiting to hear back from them. read more

Ordered a bed frame online on 05/03/2020 for $236.09 showing that it was available for same day pickup. Arrived to the pickup destination on Salina and was notified that it was not in stock and they would need to place an order to fulfill my purchase. Dunk and bright attempted to gift us white glove delivery to accommodate for this inconvenience only to find out that it would not be available until 7/18/2020 with a date of 7/28/2020 for delivery with a delivery time between 8-10am. I had to call to learn this information and was only notified at 6pm the night before. Absolutely terrible communication on their end. 10/10 will never be shopping with them again. They came and replaced that a couple weeks later. No problem Issue with me was the white specks showing up on a daily basis. Two different guys came out, neither could explain it saying it could be from wood or inner filling. I am 22 years old looking for a few nice pieces of furniture, but on a budget! Driving to this location was super easy right off the highway and the parking was a breeze. You walk in and it is a beautiful modern building and they have so many rooms of furniture beautifully laid out with endless options! Bill Flansburg was the sales representative that my coworker recommend and he was absolutely FABULOUS! He had an incredible personality that lit up the room and his only concern was making sure I got the furniture not only that I needed, but what I truly liked and that was in my budget!!!!!!! I couldn't believe how amazing he was. I also spoke with him about a payment plan they do for customers and they have 12 months no interest which is perfect for someone like me who can't put all the money down at once. As long as you pay it within a year it's literally 0 % interest, that's an amazing deal honestly. I would recommend anyone going to Dunk n Bright whether you are a first time shopper for an apartment (like me), a family looking to furnish a house, or just looking for a specific piece of furniture. I purchased a futon mattress (a bit pricey but good quality) on a Monday and was told it was available at the warehouse for me to pick up on the weekend. I texted the saleswoman a few times during the week and also left a phone message to confirm pick up details but she never responded. The following Monday I spoke with a customer service specialist who provided the pick up info ( and then also helped locate the warehouse guys who did not answer the door when I went to pick the mattress up). This place is awful. I used a groupon to buy an end table at the store but wasn't able to take it home with me (groupon means no delivery) since I was in Syracuse to pick up a bunch of people from the airport and had no room in my car. I don't live in Syracuse so the store said they'd hold my table till I went back again. I get a call a few weeks later saying they sold my table but they could order me a new one. Ok fine. I go to Syracuse when the table is in and after a full day, call to say I'm coming to pick it up and they tell me the table is in the store. I arrive to find out that it is not in the store but in the warehouse which is in the opposite direction of my house. They offer to deliver the table to me in a couple of weeks. Guess what, I never heard from them!! Okay, so I never thought I'd be compelled to review a furniture store but this place is amazing and people need to know! My husband and I made the trip up to Syracuse from Ithaca because I've had my eye on a specific dresser and these guys happen to carry the brand....they also deliver to Ithaca which was the first plus! As soon as we walked in, we noticed all the salespeople were dressed in green. Apparently they had some kind of St. Patty's Day sale going on. How lucky for us! One of them approached us to give us the lay of the land....the place is enormous! She then asked if we wanted an Irish Coffee! Um, YES!!! So there we were with REAL Irish Coffees made with actual whiskey and topped with whipped cream wandering around this huge furniture store, jumping in and out of recliners, gliding on swanky outdoor furniture, opening and closing drawers, etc, etc. Basically the most fun either of us have had in a furniture store since we were kids. When all was said and done, we had spent over two hours in the place, bought the dresser we wanted, got free delivery to Ithaca, and walked out with a complimentary bottle of Glenora Riesling! If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought a table with matching leather chairs in October of 2012. I have been dealing with their customer service for over 6 months. Two out of the four chairs were defective. One chair had stains in the wood and the other chair had a huge tear in the leather. The first time I called customer service they "tried" ordering 2 new chairs to replace them which was fine. I was told that they had to order them and they would be in their warehouse two weeks later and they would call me when the chairs would be available to pick up. Two weeks later no call from Dunk & Bright. Three weeks go bye and I called their customer service and they have no records of ordering these chairs!! Customer service representative takes all my information AGAIN and reorders the chairs. This time I am told it will take one month to order the replacements and they will call me when the shipment arrives. One month goes bye NO call from them. I let one more week go bye thinking maybe I will receive a call that week. No one attempted to call me about my chairs. I call customer service and the lady tells me that "someone else" made a mistake and ordered the wrong chairs. The phone tag between customer service continued for 6 months until I got fed up from being ignored and the reps. from their customer service not doing their jobs! Honestly, I think they do this thinking that customers will just get fed up and give up. I am not the only customer that had issues with this furniture store. Many of my friends have similar experiences. Dunk & Bright Furniture CO does not care for customer service satisfaction at all. This was the worst experience that I have ever had with customer service that I cannot even begin to compare with other companies! I do not recommend this furniture store to anyone!! I warned all my friends and relatives about how they treat customers. I will never shop their ever again!!! I bought a complete living room, and bedroom set back in September 2021 I was told my dresser would be in within a month, it is now going on 8 months still no dresser, I had an attorney send them 2 letters stating if I do not get my dresser we will go to court, they brought me a brown Dresser that does not even go close with my Grey Bedroom set, I was told that I got FREE DELIVERY which is not true, I was also told I got MONEY OFF Of my dresser that is also false, When the guy's dropped off my dresser you could clearly hear them say that we gave him the wrong dresser and we are not going to fix it either, we called the MANAGER and she said there is nothing she could do I need to deal with it, To me this is poor CUSTOMER SERVICE Anyone that Brown and Grey Do not go together, They will be seeing me and my attorney in small claims court. Due to the fact that they stole money from me and they know they did. They also think it is suitable to give me a floor model dresser that does not even match my bedroom set that I spent over 3,000. The worse part is Dunkin Bright Does not want to take any responsibility for any of this either. You can not keep blaming COVID or anything else for that matter, the world is still moving on daily. Absolutely terrible customer service from the sales "manager" Will. Ordered a sectional august 5th and was told it would take 6-8 weeks. The order has been delayed 4 times now and never once was I notified. It took me calling in to find out it was delayed again and again. I have called Will multiple times and left messages to speak with him and he has not called us back once. The one time I got ahold of him he said he would look into it and call me back. He never did. I plan on canceling my order and even if I have to wait for my furniture from a different company that will be fine. The latest on the sectional is it will be here mid November.
