In hindsight, we would have been much better off just waiting the hour at the place we actually wanted to go. From the time we arrived, it took about an hour and a half for our food to come out. Had we been given a realistic expectation of the wait, we simply would have gone elsewhere. A 30-minute wait turning into roughly 90 minutes to get food is a pretty significant difference, especially for a breakfast/lunch spot. We also ordered smoothies, and there was apparently confusion over which table they belonged to. The server working before additional help arrived didn't remember which table had ordered them and ended up giving one of our smoothies to another table because they thought the kitchen had accidentally made an extra one. That pretty much summed up how disorganized the experience felt. The food itself wasn't bad, but some of the dishes tasted like different meats, seasonings, or other add-ins had been incorporated in ways that threw off the flavor we were expecting. Certain items just didn't taste the way you would normally anticipate based on what was ordered. Again, not necessarily bad, but definitely unexpected, and after waiting that long it added to the disappointment. The one major positive was the server who eventually came in to help. Apparently, they don't even work at the restaurant anymore but were asked to come in because the restaurant clearly needed the support. Huge shoutout to them because they were great, attentive, and genuinely seemed to be doing everything they could to help a situation they walked into. They were easily the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, between the inaccurate wait estimate, the hour-and-a-half wait for food, the smoothie mix-up, and the unexpected flavors in the dishes, I can't say the experience was worth it. Had we known how long it would actually take, we absolutely would have just gone to the original restaurant with the one-hour wait.

Several groups went in after us, came outside, then were summoned in while we still sat outside with our pager. We were just a party of 2...
