The food was excellent.. we had never heard of this place & we're looking for a different place, we live on Aquidneck Island & do not have a problem driving off island.. I found an old review of this place & decided to try. We shared the Sweet Bread French toast, so delicious & no need to add butter the cinnamon taste is strong.. the potatoes have a little kick to them, chourico I am guessing.. had the chourico hash, a bit on the spicier side so if you enjoy that, try it. Really good, perfectly cooked potatoes.. my friend had the Chourico Benedict, she said it was absolutely delicious and filling.. just a great hidden gem snuggled in the middle of a neighborhood on Wilson Street. This is an out of the way neighborhood gem. It's a bit loud, doable though., The food was delicious. I had scrambled eggs, chourico hash and potato's. The Mickey Mouse chocolate chip pancake was lite and fluffy just the way the young man likes. There's plenty of parking just beware this place is packed. You may have a wait. read more

This is a great breakfast spot. We went early and it was empty. I've heard that there's sometimes a wait. The homefries were decent. The bacon and eggs were tasty. The toast was perfect. Stopped here for a quick breakfast/lunch date. It was a very weird experience overall. I got the sweetbread pancakes which was a thumbs up. Although my breakfast this morning was a bomb, I still have to give 4 stars because typically they are good. I got the egg and steak sandwich. One bite, and I stopped. It tasted like the cow was sickly and anemic. Almost like the steak was soaked in water. The meat was even pale. Very, very bad today. I asked my partner to try, he had the raised eyebrow and then obliged. I said let's just see if maybe it's "me". He tried, and the sandwich hit the plate fast. No good! His order of eggs and ham was fine, and the side order of stuffed French toast-cream cheese and strawberries was really good. I will go back, but will skip the steak. GREAT PLACE for BREAKFAST A friend recommended them this morning when I found out the 'other place' is now closed. Seated right away, super clean, and the staff were soooo friendly. Food was ordered and came quick, and best part was everything was fresh and super yummy! Cooked perfect and even 'toasted' my English which most places still grill it even when asked. Gina's definitely is the best mom and pop breakfast place in town. I've tried most of places here in town, and was stuck with Al Macs, and Dunk N Munch until they steadily declined in quality. They are always consistent, and delicious. The best is their home fries, that are beautifully seasoned. Don't even need ketchup. I don't pop in regularly, but when I do, it's like I never left. The lukewarm over-easy eggs were the highlight of my breakfast. Greasy home fries tasted like a burned cooktop and the service was atrocious (no coffee refills or checking in). We have been looking for a good breakfast place near our house for a while. We have tried many places in the city. Gina's definitely blows the other places we've tried out of the water. It was clean. It was well run with all the Covid restrictions. The food was delicious. One of the best cups of coffee I've had at a restaurant in a very long time. I got a Belgian waffle and it was very good. My fiancé got an omelette which he said was excellent. Home fries were to die for. We can't wait to go back. The only thing I can say negative was the parking. If you're sitting at home and have stuff to make your own breakfast and still want to go to Gina's, it should say something. The best breakfast I've ever had at a restaurant. My best friend and I used to go here every Sunday morning after work. We work different hours now which sucks because this was the best place. They always cooked the orders to perfection. I'd get eggs over medium with home fries and toast. My mouth is watering right now even thinking about their home fries!!! I've even driven there and gotten take out on more than one occasion. The food is 4 stars the place itself is 2. The good: The food is excellent. Probably the best breakfast ive had in the area. There is the standard stuff on the menu but also portuguese selections. My favorite is the chorizo hash and grilled sweetbread. The hash in particular was tremendous-very spicy! The potatoes had a ton of paprika also making them quite spicy but they too were very good. Everything seems homemade. The prices are just right. The service for us wasnt very good, we had to ask for several things more than once but they only had two waitresses and no empty tables. Otherwise everyone was very friendly and seemed to go about their work with lots of urgency and attention. The bad: The place was packed so i hope the owner makes lots of money quick so it can upgrade to a more proper location! From the outside it looks a bit like a double wide trailer. Inside its pretty small. Its about the size of a garage and feels like it inside. The vinyl floor, deteriorating plaster walls and fluorescent lights dont exactly make it an inviting space. There are no decorations, its a square thats been overfilled with about 15 mismatched chairs and tables. Its tough to move around in there. There is no separate waiting area so you are constantly in the way while waiting to be seated. Go there for the food. Its worth it. Just needs a bit of help. read more

Small out of the way place. Thought my husband and I would try since review ratings were high. We both had omelettes with home fries. Me a veggie and he a ham and cheese. This was a great family owned breakfast place! I got the Gina's famous hash, with chourico and it was fantastic! Very good flavor, a bit spicy too so not for the person who can't have hot food! I also got the stuffed French toast on the side, it had pineapple cream cheese on the inside with strawberries. Only downside to me was the service was lacking a bit, our waitress was polite but consistently busy, and yeah, she was just about the only waitress there working occasionally getting help from someone in the back.
