    Mushroom marsala pasta with steak
    Mai N.

Stopped by for some lunch on our way to visit Rhode Island, and I'm really glad we did! The spot stands out in the older town of Swansea. The decor has a modern feel still with some charming touches. Our server was very welcoming and friendly. I couldn't decide between the mushtoom pasta and the steak frites, so he recommended that I add steak to the pasta to make it more filling. I took the recommendation and it was soooo good, the steak and mushrooms made the pasta so savory and hearty without feeling too heavy. My sister had the half-chicken and it was taking a short while, but I appreciated our server coming by with updates on the meal to assure us that it was being prepared properly. I'm not sure if I'll be back in the area anytime soon, but if I am, I'll be sure to drop by again!

Stopped here on a whim, so glad we did. It all was wonderful! The pretzel sticks were deliciously buttered and the cheese/pulled pork dip was scrumptious. Can't recall which margarita I got but it had a peppercorn rim, fruity, tangy, and really good! My cousin got the smashburger which was my favorite thing out of all of this deliciousness. I got the Cuban panini. It was huge! Really excellent. We split and shared sandwiches. I'm not often in this area but I'd make the 40 minute trip from home to eat here again.

The food was excellent! I had the salmon burger over greens with a chipotle dressing. My spouse enjoyed the Cuban sandwich. The service was also excellent! The restaurant was so inviting and very clean and bright. Parking was easy and this place is open 7 days a week! It definitely is a must try.

We drive by here a lot but never been in. My wife and I decide to give it a try on Tuesday night. It was actually surprisingly busy. The staff and the host were on queue and sat us down right away. I glanced at the bar, and it was packed. I would say it is a good night for the restaurant. We started out with Asian inspired calamari appetizer. The golden fried calamari rings came with bok choy and roasted peanuts as toppers, with sweet and tangy sauce. Thai or southeastern Asia inspired variety. A little different in the area dominated by either Italian or Portuguese style calamari. My main dish was Shrimp Mozanbique with good portion of shrimp. My wife ordered a mushroom marsala dish. Both were on point and respected the ingredients. Not too saucy or dry. A good balance. Our wait staff Chase was excellent. It is nice to see that we have young but enthusiastic server who is nice and attentive. We do not see excellent server like him anymore anywhere. Vey casual atmosphere with locals enjoying themselves. A good vibe. We will be back again to try other things on the menu!

We met the chef on Sunday while out at a different restaurant, he was so personable. After some conversation and learning he is the chef of Black Salt, we decided to give it a try. We went the following day on a Monday and tried his famous meatloaf, which did not disappoint. The side of carrots were absolutely unbelievable, and the entire meal was incredible. We also tried the focaccia bread and the deviled eggs, which were a favorite as well. The service was great. Everyone was friendly. The entire inside was a comfortable and chic look. I would absolutely go back for a date night. I can't believe this was my first time having Black Salt. We will absolutely be back! Chef Chris is just simply awesome. Amazing food. Great place. Can't say enough great things !

Great place for a nice dinner Swansea. I enjoyed my lobster ravioli and tequila cocktail. My husband liked his beef ribs and Portugal wine. My favorite dish was the hot pepper calamari.

Lunch yesterday was, again, WONDERFUL. Even though I was sorely tempted to order Mushroom Marsala Pasta again (which is fantastic), I wanted to try the chickpeas. And I am DO HAPPY I did. Black Salt must have a chef with expertise in Indian cuisine. Probably need to order two meals and take two trays of leftovers. Started with the mushroom appetizer, which was delicious!

I was expecting it to be a dive (I do love a good dive bar!), but Stingy Alley is beautiful and classy, with an amazing cocktail menu and small bites as well. I loved the dark wood decor, the low lighting throughout the establishment, and the accent lights at the bar are so pretty. There are many different types of seating - bar, high top tables, benches, regular tables, and a cute and comfy corner booth with throw pillows, which is where we opted to sit. Service was excellent. I was expecting to have to order at the bar, but Stingy Alley has table service. My husband ordered the espresso martini and I went with the Dubai chocolate martini. Both were outstanding - I could easily have tried a few more of the dessert cocktails, but alas we had a 40 minute drive home so that will have to wait for another visit. Will definitely come back to Stingy Alley - thanks for a lovely end to our night!

We ordered the mini stuffies, the hummus plate, and the fried pickles. The mini stuffies were a highlight. Loaded with Mello's chouriço and packed with flavor, they're a solid little bite. My grandfather set the bar pretty high for me on stuffies, and these came close. They have a different profile than what I grew up with; a little less bready, more chouriço forward, and the clam flavor takes a back seat. Not necessarily a complaint, they were just different from what I'm used to and were genuinely tasty. The lemon aioli on top was also a nice touch. The fried pickles were exactly what you want them to be. Crispy, well fried, and the breading actually stayed put while you ate them, which is more than I can say for a lot of fried pickles. They came with the same lemon aioli as the stuffies, which worked just as well here. The hummus plate was a bit of a letdown. We've had it many times before and it used to be a standout. This time the hummus itself was thick and pretty flavorless, more like a dense chickpea paste than anything else. The accompaniments were nice though and consisted of heirloom carrots, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, pickled cauliflower, carrot, and a pepperoncini, all served alongside some buttery round crackers that were like a Ritz cracker's more refined cousin. The veggies saved the plate, but the hummus needs to find its way back. I suppose it could have just been an off batch and won't prevent us from trying it again. Cocktails were great, as usual. I had the Anana with scotch. I love pineapple and this has muddled pineapple and basil, pineapple juice, cracked black pepper. It's my go-to here and it delivered again. My partner went adventurous and ordered the Jungle Booby, which is built around tequila blanco and mezcal with campari, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, orgeat, and an absinthe spritz. The flavors were genuinely good, but the smokiness from the mezcal was a bit much for her taste. She followed it up with a glass of rosé and had no complaints after that. The cocktail wasn't the problem, it just wasn't her style. One of our favorite spots in Warren for a quick nibble, for a good reason.

Saint Martha exudes an old-world, Euro-Chic charm that immediately wraps you in a cozy, comfortable feeling. The details, from the original pressed-tin ceiling to the quaint glass/wood wall separating the kitchen, all add to the ambiance. We started with a complex Black Onion Garlic dip with house-made potato chips. Straight away, this puts everyone in a good mood. Our appetizers consisted of Roasted Farm Carrots & Beets, Lamb and Beef Meatballs, and Citrus & Radicchio Salad (party of 4). All were expertly crafted, creative, and delicious. Of special note, the sauce served with the meatballs was "finger-lickin good". For entrees, we ordered White Lamb Ragu, Roasted Lamb Loin, and Nettie & Ramp Pesto Fettucini. Each dish was beautifully presented and generated a lot of excitement at the table. The roasted lamb, which was perfectly cooked medium rare, was succulent. The house-made, melt-in-your mouth pappardelle pasta served with a ragu sauce put me in the zone. For dessert, we enjoyed 2 servings of a Frangipane buckwheat tart with Almond ice cream. This unusual creation was a homerun. A 32-ounce French Press was enjoyed by all. It's not easy to produce such a meal. Co-owner / Chef Keith and his staff deserve kudos for turning out consistent, extraordinary fare that transports you to a fine European café. The quality of the ingredients, all locally sourced, shine in every dish. If you want something special, look no further than Saint Martha.
