I picked up a dozen-mix of joy: Long Johns, glazed classics, cinnamon rolls (the kind that whisper "just like Mom used to make"), and pecan rolls that should come with a warning label: "May cause spontaneous joy." Dropped them off with friends and boom--gone in two days, like a Netflix binge with frosting. High praise was given. Teeth were thanked. Waistbands were stretched. But I didn't stop there. Oh no. I showed up, told the wonderful women behind the counter that I'm not from here (TX here on a 6 month job), that I have zero idea what anything is in their display case because nothing in Dallas looks this good and just pick me 6 of the best things they have. 3 of the 6 never made it back to my jobsite that's 10 minutes away. The raspberry Danish, the deep fried glazed ball of heaven and the chop suey never stood a chance in the truck with me. When I did make it back, my local subcontractor looked at the box, KNEW I went to Buckeye Bakery and said "You did good". Overall, they're about to make me gain 20 pounds and lose all my money. The female restroom was well maintained. Customer service in the store was friendly as I interacted with a male gas station attendant. They sell prepared foods such as salads, snacks, drinks, and other miscellaneous items. I love that they also sell fresh chocolate and toffee by the weight. In addition to the general store, there is also a Starbucks, Popeyes, and Pizza Hut inside the main GOASIS store. BUT I would've asked the SAME questions IN PERSON.. anyway, after a few questions they were done with me. Told me to stop in (again, would've been same questions) I have 2 littles & would rather not "stop in" I like information prior to doing so. ANYWAY, my husband brings my iced coffee order & some donuts. All of it went in the trash. Donuts were hard & not good. The coffee overall was just not good. I never stopped here again during my 3 month stay in the area & wouldn't recommend it from my personal experience.
