Extremely quick drive-thru service, especially during morning traffic, order made correctly.

The service from a young lady with glasses in the mornings is terrible!! She is extremely rude and needs customer service classes.

The food/coffee is always good, but the people who work here are not very friendly.

Your (very) standard/basic/expected resort buffet…read more A solid/varied selection of items... from an omelet station to the cereal dispensers (my kids used to love this contraption when they were younger) to fruit (diced and/or whole) to... kielbasa?! (They were totally trying to butter up the Mrs. who was born in Poland, that's for sure!) First gripe: my kids usually love (and devour) waffles - but here they were incredibly sweet and they couldn't handle more than a bite or two. Second gripe: the waitstaff's main function seems to be for getting your drinks (and later giving you the check). Even after all the time it took to "hunt-and-gather" (loading up our plates) from the various stations we were almost done with our food before receiving our coffees, waters, and lemonades. (This really needs to be tinkered with so it'll be improved for future diners.) Coffee (when we finally got it!) was surprisingly good. Pricing was better than expected, for sure. Friendly diligent crew of workers - constantly checking in to see how everyone was doing. It wasn't the best or worst breakfast buffet I've ever been to. Once was enough but I wouldn't have been opposed to going again. (Breakfast/lunch only with a dinner buffet on weekends.)

The weekday dinner had lobsters and the weekend lunch had crayfish. We enjoyed all the food and the waitstaff was very attentive, they made quick rounds to collect plates and refill sodas. There is a lot of variety in the selections and they're all pretty tasty. Their sushi was good, we really it. The only thing I did not like was the wasabi, it looked neon green, the color of slimer from ghostbusters... it was looking too artificial. Their dessert/fruit table also has a wide selection and we had no issues whatsoever. The ice cream machine was kind of slow, I saw a lot of people had difficulty with the chocolate side of the machine. This is a great option to have out in the Poconos. We will alway return.

There is a nice fountain in front for ambiance. Some of the food was mislabeled or had no signage. There was some sushi which was fine, but no hibachi option. It was nice to have fruit options with dessert. There was a variety of meats, noodles, and soups. There wasn't a ton of variety, but it'll do the trick. Neither of us felt great after, but I can't tell if it's the quantity or quantity. The prices are a little cheaper during the week and during lunch where there is one flat rate on Sunday, so if you're going on one of those days, it may feel like better bang for your buck.

Hungry as a Wolf was the pizza place we went for lunch at Great Wolf Lodge and it was definitely on…read morethe top of our list and would go back again. My friends all shared a large pizza, customized with at least 5 toppings and it looked and smelled amazing. As a lactose intolerant person, I got a personal pizza with no cheese that I ordered at the counter since the kiosk didn't have that option as at the point, I can't really call it pizza. More like dough and sauce . I got the personal dough and (extra)sauce with pineapple (yay pineapple on pizza lovers! Don't hate) and pepperoni. The pepperoni was the ones you'd find at prince street pizza in soho! Little crispy cups of pepperoni goodness. The dough however was on the chewier side, and not crispy/thin like New York pizza slices are. Nevertheless, this was definitely a good spot. 4 stars- I think if they could make it thin crust, we would up it to 5 stars even. Maybe add in the option for thick or thin crust so customers who have a preference can choose what they want? For the lodge, expect to pay upwards of $20-$30 for a large pizza, and about $13 for a personal pie. It is expensive, but that's to be expected for Great Wolf Lodge- everything is expensive here! But what I loved about Hungry as a Wolf was how customizable everything was especially for someone who had dietary restrictions such as lactose intolerance. The staff were able to answer my questions and create something that I was happy to eat.

From my picture you can also see that they skimped on the cheese. Also expect long waits. Unfortunately you don't have many other family friendly vegetarian options when you are at the lodge.
