Your (very) standard/basic/expected resort buffet. A solid/varied selection of items... from an omelet station to the cereal dispensers (my kids used to love this contraption when they were younger) to fruit (diced and/or whole) to... kielbasa?! (They were totally trying to butter up the Mrs. who was born in Poland, that's for sure!) First gripe: my kids usually love (and devour) waffles - but here they were incredibly sweet and they couldn't handle more than a bite or two. Second gripe: the waitstaff's main function seems to be for getting your drinks (and later giving you the check). Even after all the time it took to "hunt-and-gather" (loading up our plates) from the various stations we were almost done with our food before receiving our coffees, waters, and lemonades. (This really needs to be tinkered with so it'll be improved for future diners.) Coffee (when we finally got it!) was surprisingly good. Pricing was better than expected, for sure. Friendly diligent crew of workers - constantly checking in to see how everyone was doing. It wasn't the best or worst breakfast buffet I've ever been to. This establishment refuses to accommodate food allergies. When you make a reservation, it should tell you that this is a buffet and not a sit down restaurant. Due to cross contamination, we asked if there's anyway our son could get food directly from the kitchen and they refused and said no go somewhere else. read more

We went for the Thanksgiving Buffet. We were hesitant after reading the reviews, but all in all we could not have asked for more. The food was good, the selection was great. Our service was outstanding and the dining room while busy was elegantly decorated. Only suggestions would be to have a cooked vegetable option like asparagus or broccoli, and the kids said the ice cream was not great and it melted very quickly! I'm surprised this buffet is rated so poorly. It's a mid-priced hotel buffet, surely you can't expect the utmost greatness from that can you? The breakfast buffet was good. Yes, it's much harder to mess up breakfast than other meals, but all the food served was of decent quality. Get the waffles, they are sweet and crunchy and probably one of the better things offered. The selection, while not huge, was adequate. The service was good. If you're planning to go get there early because it can get packed. It's a fine choice if you're staying at Camelback Lodge just don't expect gourmet cuisine. read more

We dined at Hemispheres for breakfast each day we stayed at Camelback. Options for restaurants were extremely limited when we went so we really didn't have a choice. The buffet was actually really good, probably in the top three that I have gone too. Although they don't have an omelette station, they had everything else you could think of and then some. All was good. Service was excellent and everyone was really friendly. The last day we went close to closing and did not feel rushed and everything was still available. Ever get screwed over while knowing fully that you are getting screwed over? The Hemispheres restaurant at Camelback came up with this little marketing gem. --- Mother's Day Brunch Buffet -- Reservations required .. log in and reserve your table at OpenTable and now you're guaranteed a table, which they claimed would be in high demand. The regular buffet price is $24... but today it's $65 and they set the gratuity price. 95% of the tables were empty. Clearly there was no need for a reservation. This restaurant is normally packed for their brunches. All those empty tables told me that those folks have more common sense than myself. The food is good, the service is excellent .. but not worth $65 a plate. I expected some extras to go with those exorbitant prices .. maybe some form of entertainment, a strolling guitar player or something like that. But, no. The only "extra" was a free carnation to every female that entered the restaurant. Other than the flower, this buffet is the same as their pre-covid buffet. I won't say that I won't return under their normal pricing structure, but I will certainly not trust any of their special event buffets again. Caveat emptor (buyer beware). I made the reservation .. and I paid the price. Take this as a warning and be smarter than me. read more

We really enjoyed our breakfast buffet here each morning that we stayed at Camelback. Everything on the buffet is displayed beautifully and tasted delicious. I would not called this average or typical but is bread above average. They had everything you could think of and more. There were even lox, tomatoes and capers. You could choose your own mini smoothies and my favorite part was the hot biscuits with sausage gravy. The wait staff was friendly and efficient every time. We requested a table by the window that had a beautiful view of the mountains and a river down below. What's good is that when you leave, you're full enough so that you probably won't need lunch that day. I highly recommend this for a hardy breakfast and plan to be back next time we stay at Camelback. read more

If I could give this place a 0.01 star rating, I would. I came here for my 12th birthday but this place was honestly disappointing . I'm positive that the waffles, pancakes, and tater tots were unfrozen. The last time I went to Camelback, the food was good, so I made my mom bring me. Worst mistake of my life. I had the face of utter disgust when I bit into the waffle. I have never in my life, bit into a waffle as hard as that one was. The pancakes looked like something that I could buy from Eggo. I knew that the tater tots were definitely from a store, it tasted and looked like something I could buy from a local supermarket. After me and my mom just decided to eat a small portion of strawberries and grapes with some cereal, my mom had to pay $45. WE WENT TO HICKORY VALLEY FARM RESTAURANT (looks a bit rundown and old) AND EVEN THEY HAD BETTER AND CHEAPER FOOD THAT WE ACTUALLY ATE! For all that, we could've gone there instead of Hemispheres. I could've made those tater tots myself. I could've made those waffles myself. I could've made those pancakes myself!!!! Overall, don't go here, don't be scammed, eat off the resort. read more

There weren't too many options to eat at the resort but they were pretty decent. My husband enjoyed an IPA that they had and even went to the local brewery to get it. The kids enjoyed the view of the indoor water park while being seated. The customer service however was horrible. The manager, he was nice but his staff acted as if we were inconveniencing them for being there. We have three children and they weren't rowdy but the waitress were fussing with one another not trying come to our table. My husband got up and went to order at the bar because he saw how the two ladies acted like they didn't want to be there or service us. read more

My family went to Camelback for a few days and we went here for breakfast. Firstly, My son has a severe food allergy so I always ask before we eat anywhere if they can accommodate us. Right from the start the hostess made it clear that they take this very seriously. The chef Joann came to our table to discuss our options and prepared his food in the kitchen ( to avoid cross contamination). She couldn't have been nicer and made my son feel safe and happy . I can't tell you that a little effort from the chef and even wait staff for taking time and making us feel safe can make such a difference! The food was delicious and so many options to choose from! We went everyday when we were there. Both my sons loved breakfast there and they're not the biggest breakfast eaters! We will definitely go there again when we visit camelback! read more

Spent the Columbus Holiday Day at Camelback Resort. That morning the little one was hangry and didn't really want to leave because of the misty weather so we decided to go with their breakfast buffet. An adult breakfast is $16.99 and kids under 3 are free. They have a good selection of food from made to order omelettes and freshly made mini pancakes. They have a very good selection of breakfast fare with the stand eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage links, sausage patties, waffles, home fries, gravy and biscuits, breads, bagels, cereals, fruits, yogurts with condiments, baked goods such as danishes, muffins, donuts, etc. There mini waffles were hard but when i tried them, they were pretty good because they tasted sweet like a waffle cone. The food was good but the price is steep. The little one ate so much we thought he was gonna explode. read more
