I'm a Colchester resident and used to frequent this Dunkin' Donuts often. This franchise was sold to a new owner in 2023 and the change in service and practices caused me to no longer patronize this Dunkin' Donuts location. One of the big things for me was they no longer give senior discounts, which is a common practice for most Dunkin' Donuts. The owner of this Dunkin' Donuts also owns another Dunkin' Donuts in Colchester that is drive-through only and both Dunkin' Donuts in Marlboro, Connecticut and Hebron, Connecticut I now go out of my way to patronize other Dunkin' Donuts then the ones owned by the current owner. read more

This used to be my favorite Dunkin, but no more. When I placed my order at the drive thru, I had to repeat it twice, because the clerk was laughing and talking to someone else inside. When I got to the window, I gave him a $1.00 tip on a $4.00 coffee...no thank you, no acknowledgment. When he handed me my coffee, I smiled and said "Thank you very much"...again, no acknowledgment at all. He was talking on his phone the whole time. this is the worst Dunkin I've ever been too, I had to wait FOR 7MINUTES BEFORE THEY TOOK MY ORDER and no one was in line. This is a busy DD due to the location on Main St. I have been here several times where we ate in at one of the few tables. The tables usually can use a wipe down, but there doesn't seem to be a focus on that. I like the veggie flatbread breakfast sandwich. My main complaint today was I asked for no sugar in my coffee but they put it in. Since I was ordering to go I didn't realize until I arrived at my destination. There are two Dunkins in town, the other is across from stop & shop. This one is super inconsistent, the food never tastes the same at all

The service is really bad. My boyfriend and I went to get coffee one morning and one of the employees barely filled up his medium cup of coffee. I went in for an iced coffee. Upon walking in my order was promptly taken, unfortunately that was the one positive experience. After taking my order, the employees began to talk about how most people like their coffees how they like their man and then began to wonder what type of man I like simply based on my coffee order. This conversation soon took priority for the employees and they began to neglect my order in favor of talking about their taste in men. I was the only person inside the shop and outside there was no cars waiting in the drive thru, so this interaction should have taken all of three minutes. Unfortunately, due to how unprofessional the employees were being hit ended up being closer to ten minutes. Overall, this was an extremely uncomfortable experience that has completely turned me off from this DD location. read more

Getting off a long flight from Texas I had a craving for a good cup of coffee. I stop by colchester CT Dunkin Donuts and was greeted by a very rude and snotty young man working the drive-through window. I usually tip very good but with nasty attitude this young man had I got my coffee and left. It's not difficult to greet people civilly if you're working with the public. As a Boston girl, Dunkin' Donuts was not only my first job but my favorite spot for a big frosty vanilla iced coffee, light with two sugars. Being on the west coast for the last six years found me Dunkinless, and it was one of the things I was looking forward to upon returning east. But I grew disenchanted somehow-the vanilla iced coffee didn't woo me as it had done countless times before. I had outgrown it, perhaps. Then today happened. I walked in, hot and confused from not having any caffeine until 1:30 and asked Ryan, Dunkin Donut worker extraordinaire, if the coconut flavor syrup was any good. He brightened and suggested I try the "coca-mocha"-iced coffee with a shot of coconut AND a shot of chocolate. AND he put my plastic cup of coffee in a styrofoam cup, discouraging that annoying iced coffee cup sweat and keeping those ice cubes as perky as the day they were born. My coca-mocha didn't need sugar, it was rich but not cloyingly so, dark chocolate with malibu or maybe even like a not so sugary and cold mounds bar that makes you want to say "I'm loca for coca-mocha". Either way it was frickin'good, and Ryan was my Dunkin Donut angel, keeping me forever tucked in the fold of Dunkin Donut land. read more
