Nothing crazy. We were greeted by a taller big guy kindly at first-- that is until he heard our order. As soon as he heard that we wanted to pick our own cookies, he huffed and sighed taking out the box...which fine, we have both worked retail and understand the mid-day burn out. We decide to keep the box light with 8 cookies. Instead, he points to the pre-packaged cookies with about 30 cookies wrapped up. I look at them and thank him for the offer, but that we would like a smaller amount. Another head shake and sigh. We proceed to pick out our cookies and thank him heartily...all with no reply from him. We were simply coming in to order cookies and left feeling like we did something wrong. After that negative interaction, we decided to shake it off and eat some cookies in our car by the beach. Unfortunately, our cookies were stale and many of the cookies tasted the same despite being completely different kinds...2/5 experience, however I will update with another visit to see if that changes or if I just came at a bad time. Edit: Owners do not seem to care about reviews here. Updated to a 1/5 stars.

She prepared our baby boy's birth sex reveal cake. Honestly, everyone -including me- were more hyped on the cuteness of this cake then the reveal Business side: Allison was super professional and dedicated. I filled out the online form for cake request and she turned back to me shortly with her design idea that captures what I envisioned and quote. She was very quick to respond, kind and accommodating to all the request. She prepared the cake in a very short time. The delivery was good and she provided me instructions on how to cut it and store it. It was very professional, yet I left feeling very satisfied working with her and welcomed with my needs. The artist side is a whole different level of top notch effort. She captured my theme immediately. When I received the cake, I was in awe! The details of the cake is a real artist's masterpiece. I fell in love with the cuteness of the baby bees, the delicacy of the daisies, the partially darkened way to represent the realistic honey comb... Everyone admired the cake. The cake was made inside with blueberry buttercream and coconut cake. It was super tasty. She used dye for our baby boy birth sex reveal. The outside was mixture of buttercream, fondant, chocolate.

They make their own blend of house teas which are delicious. It's a small spot that has both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are all very friendly. So that means everyone loves Nana's. Which means that, on a very rainy weekend early afternoon, we ended up waiting quite a long time to order and then to get our food but ... I suppose it was worth it (this is high praise coming from someone who almost never believes waiting in a long line is actually worth it). My friend and I split the spicy Caesar kale salad as a starter. I cracked up when I saw "massaged kale" as one of the ingredients. But all jokes aside, this was one of the best kale salads with abundant dressing and, in lieu of croutons, breadcrumbs and cashew parmesan. It tasted pretty indulgent and rich but you can certainly fool yourself into thinking it's actually healthy. I got the tomato sandwich plus bacon (so a BLT without the L) and it was pretty good, though I do wish they cut the bread a little thinner so I could pick it up and eat it as a sandwich. As it were, I just used my knife and fork - certainly more civilized. The pizza was also not bad, though I wish there were some more of the toppings - heard it's leagues better than Mystic Pizza. There are a few tables inside but be prepared to wait. When it was peak rush hour, there were two lines inside, one for the bathroom and one to place an order. Even though they were so slammed, the staff couldn't be friendlier. Our waitress in particular came by often to see how we were doing. Parking lot also filled up. We parked in the Mystic train station and then walked over.
