Great middle eastern food - the chicken gyro/shawarma wrap and salad are wonderful. The hummus is super creamy and delicious. The baklava was fabulous. They have only a very small selection of middle eastern food, the rest of the menu was donuts and deli sandwiches. The donuts looked great also, but I was only interested in the middle eastern food. Great little place to stop. It's a very plain little deli restaurant, no esthetics. The staff were two teenagers, I'm guessing family ownership. They were polite and got the job done. I would definitely eat here again when passing through. read more

Fresh food in a welcoming environment. Tucked away in beautiful colchester with a private parking lot to make access easy. When you enter there is a good sized dining room followed by a breakfast and lunch menu. The front cases display a variety of donuts and some baked goods. There is also a refrigerated case displaying freshly made hummus etc that they not only use to make their menu items but that you can purchase to take home similar to How you would at a deli. Once you decide on your order it is placed at the counter. You are able to sit down and the order is brought out. After eating you pay for your meal at the counter. New restaurant in Colchester so of course I had to try!! I came in on the following Monday after they opened (I tried to go on Sunday but it looked WAY too busy) for breakfast. There were only a couple of other people inside. I was greeted immediately and my order was taken. My sandwich came out within 5 minutes. Staff was all very pleasant. The donut was DELICIOUS. So fresh and yummy. The sandwich was pretty good, but they put sausage pieces instead of a whole patty so you don't get a bite of sausage in every bite which was disappointing. Overall good food though. Prices here are great as well. Cheaper than Dunkin!! I can't wait to go back and try a gyro for lunch. read more

Went for a breakfast sandwich at the Colchester Donuts and Cafe and as usual, they hit it out of the park. Eggs, Onions, Green Peppers, Cheese, chopped Bacon all served up on a grilled hardroll. Superb! This is now my regular after church and "During the Week, Now and Again" sandwich and like all the other food and those incredible donuts, I am always very happy with what they offer. Great folks, good food and fair prices, who could ask for anything more! If you haven't tried it, by all means go, your missing out on one of the town's best kept little secrets! Customer service was absolutely amazing. We came so late in the day but thankfully there were still donuts left. It just so happens it was all of our kids favorites. The restaurant was also really clean and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this business. The donuts were also delicious and thats that it was already wayy later in the day. Not our favorite, but still a solid choice for a family breakfast. Donuts are $1.25 each; $11.99 for a dozen. Overall prices are very reasonable, especially for the French toast, which our granddaughter liked. I was less enthusiastic about the veggie omelet that my husband and I shared - a little too salty and greasy. And the cinnamon roll was described by our granddaughter as "too chewy" - I would have said maybe a little tough. Overall I prefer a place with table service rather than ordering at a counter. I'm a New Yorker, born and raised and have had some of the best Middle Eastern & Mediterranean food. This spot is a new favorite and very affordable with generous portions!! So glad to have found this gem, have already eaten here a few times this week. Their gyros and Chicken over rice is truly THE BEST I've ever tasted. Nice to have around. Donuts looked great. Ordered butter bean salad, hit the spot and the falafel wrap with fries. Both were excellent. Plan on waiting a little, seems everyone is excited to try here. May want to call your order in, only down side was they gave our order away, so waited a long time. These were the best gyros I have ever had! We had chicken and chicken/beef. Everything was fresh and the tzatziki sauce was fabulous. We also took home a variety of donuts, and they were so delicious even in the afternoon, that the box was empty when I pulled into my driveway! The baklava was freshly made and delicious. Came here for breakfast and it was soooo good. There is a menu of classic American breakfast foods like omelettes and doughnuts, but they also have naan, hummus, grape leaves, etc. We ordered the latter options. Tried this place the other day with a friend for lunch. We got the chicken and vegetable soup which was very generous, fresh and filled with veggies and split a tuna sandwich on wheat bread. Also very good and the owner asked what we wanted on it. Was looking forward to trying the hummus but it was sold out for the day. The donuts are amazing. Especially the Maple.
