The coffee and sandwich tasted great, my only grievance is that, it was late morning (wouldn't say the morning rush) and the wait for the sandwich was very long. I've been to this Starbucks a lot and I now hated it because half of them new employees always gave me a bad attitude for no reason every time I walked in and out, sometimes they purposely got my order wrong, one of their female employees was rushing me at the drive-through while I was calmly taking my time ordering (I should've defended myself at that time but I didn't wanna hold up the line so I just took my order without saying anything to her and drove off. Horrible place. There it's this chick name kamira . First racist second of all supper immature . This service has been horrible for more than 7 times . This girl every time it's the same problem in two occasions I've had to come into the store and ask to correct the order. She laughs at your face starts speaking Spanish like I can't understand or speak English. She makes the order wrong on purpose knowing there it's a deadly allergic reaction and refuses to let you speak to a manager . I've order most by mobile order and there it's the option to remove the egg patty wich I always select because of the allergic reaction. And she makes it wrong on purpose. This last time I encountered 3 things that honestly got me mad First I mobile order it and I pulled by the drive through and since the speaker she was rude that " next time wait more time because we just got the mobile order " mind you I ordered more than 10 minutes before from that . When I pulled up I treated her with respect like ice always done even if she is so disrespectful. They took about 8 minutes to give me the drink , when it's was time to give the crossaint it was again with egg , I opened it and waited for the other items . I showed her and she started laughing and said I am already making the other one correctly , she slammed the drive thru window and I waited she came back asking what else I needed and started being rude laughing with other co workers and pointing at my car . When she was bringing the correct one I asked her to be nicely because it was not my fault she was having a bad day and she started laughing and speaking Spanish I believe , broken Spanish . Like I wasn't speaking to her in English perfectly and stated being rude and she started laughing as she was speaking her broken English being racist when I asked her for her name times. She tried hiding her name tag but I still saw her name . The owner at this location has no idea to staff is restaurant on Saturday afternoon. It was a nightmare waiting for literally 20 minutes and not moving more than one Car's length only to find out there were two people working. read more

Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. Ever since this Starbucks moved to this new location, the service is horrible. The employees don't actually care about making the food correctly, even if asked through the drive-through or mobile order. Unfortunately i've experienced racism as well . There it's a certain employee that sees my name and makes the order wrong on purpose knowing that there it's a deadly allergic reaction to an expesific item, it has been explained multiple times and still the same thing . With Covid still around, this smaller than average Starbucks right off the highway for those driving into Hartford or the other way; this one will be packed. The small drive thru they have had plenty of cars waiting to play an order for a warm food or drink. I opted for pickup inside since I had time before work and walked in. Knowing that is a small location the seating is all but removed and it's order and pick up only. Majority of their effort is towards the drive up but minutes after placing my mobile order my breakfast items were all set and I was enjoying my warm meal! They seem to have a great system to handle the morning rush between the drive thru and inside location. read more

My local Starbucks is not clean and closes when they are not busy. I switched to Duncan for more convenient consistency and lower prices.

I haven't been to this new Starbucks until today and I had to say that this was a really great experience! It was around 6-6:30 and as soon as I arrived a super kind young man took my order and politely gave me my total. Asked kindly if I'd like anything else. When I arrived at the pay/pick up window the cashier Aries was super nice as well! She received me with a big smile and told me my total again and promptly brought out my drink. It was super yummy and well made. I really like that they do add the strawberries to the pink drink! I've been to a few locations that don't. The young man who took my order kindly waved goodbye and made my order super well. I didn't catch his name but they both deserve a good job! Most places lack good customer service and just care to push out orders but no these two baristas made my day! They were also super sweet to my 5 year old . I really appreciate their kindness and I will definitely be back to this location. They deserve the proper recognition for their wonderful service and dedication to doing their job the best! read more

This Starbucks is a new Starbucks and it is extremely nice inside. They moved from their previous location to a newly built location. I do like the staff and service however their transition to a bigger space has been horrible. They never have any pastries or food by 12. Spencer St., Starbucks used to be my go to because of how friendly the baristas were, and the quality of the drinks were great. However, since they moved the quality of the product has gone downhill. I order the same drink every single time and it is always me differently. When I ask for extra cream on the side when there isn't any in my drink, I am told that I am going to be charged more even though I already paidfor the extra. "'Drove to window 2 young girls ignored my presence. After 8 minutes, one came to window n said " you have to order at speaker " told her my problem. I've gone from being a die hard Starbucks fan many years ago to then outright blocking it due to price increase and feeling like their quality had declined to now feeling like they're shelling out good stuff again especially since now I see myself forced into having to drink decaf and theirs is one of the only few that I'll actually drink and still stay sane afterwards,... but I digress. I came here in search of a bag of decaf I could buy to make at home. The staff was really nice, they helped me find a bag of decaf as there were none on the display case. Also while I was there I got myself an almond milk honey flat white which right now is my absolute favorite drink from them. Does it hurt the recesses of my soul every time I shell almost $6 for a cup of coffee? This location has drastically picked up pace... I've been coming here for years now and never have I seen so much crowd...business is booming exponentially ... so much that they started to open an hour earlier everyday (5:30am) ..and another reason for them to do so well is Starbucks has come up with a new breakfast and lunch menu, with so many options and with a college/businesses being nearby ... this location is crowded all the time ... and so is their drive thru. The cafe is well maintained...The inside is small n confined none the less one of my fav cafes in the area... love the huge arch window....the baristas keep changing all the time and the ones they have now get my brew right almost every time(coz I customize my coffee so much). TERRIBLE SERVICE, all the workers are SO FREAKISHLY WORRIED about their plastic personality and their "sense of identity" they forget they work at a stupid Starbucks making minimum wage. One of the better Starbucks in the area, both in quality of the product and venue. I typically stop here on the way to work (if I'm coming from that direction). The Good: The staff is quick and courteous. My drinks area always as ordered The wait isn't usually too bad, though they do get a little busy. The Bad: The parking lot kind of sucks. It may be tempting to park in the front by the street, but I'd suggest parking in the rear of the building (or using the drive through). It'll make it easier when you try to leave.. read more

I've always loved this location! They are super close to MCC which was so useful when I took classes there. My mom also lives close by so it is my go to location. Lately, the drive thru line has been difficult to maneuver due to the Popeye's line being right next door and often blocking the way. Just advice, if you come to this location do so with lots of patience because it is very likely you will get stuck in line waiting. Well, where to begin. The place hasn't been cleaned in ages. Starting with the food display case, these surfaces haven't seen a sponge or mop in what seems like ever. Same goes with the bathroom, where there's no soap. The building is a former bank branch or something, so cramped you could grab a wrapped pastry from the delivery cart that's all but blocking the bathroom. At the counter, the service space is so tight that two different workers squeeze by each other, seeing you - the waiting customer - but saying nothing because it's apparently not their job to wait on customers. At that point, a third worker comes up; and after an order of drip coffee with cream asks whether they should pour it there or "will you pour it at home." That's a new one, relative to Starbucks's penny-pinching move to take cream containers away from customers. (Don't tell me the reason is public health.) At this place, said containers would be empty, filthy or both. The manager on duty is oblivious to all this. I suppose the folks in drive-through get to experience none of this fun. read more

As of recently, it seems that the staff are struggling to make orders correctly. Even after using the order feature on the app, I come to pick up a drink that is made inconsistently or incorrectly. It has always been protocol to ask someone ordering skim milk if they still want the whip on their drink. Bloomfield and Deming street manage to do this fine. The parking lot is also difficult here due to a strange shape and some massive potholes near Popeyes. But the wait in the drive thru line is always pretty hefty so if you do an online order, just back into a spot along Spencer St and walk in to retrieve your drink. Much easier. I hope that maybe it's just a new barista that I tend to catch or someone who was having a bad day...a few times and that the drinks will begin to become consistent again. ETA- Staff has changed a bit, but consistency is still lacking. Also dislike the parking situation. However, due to proximity and coaxing from my SO, I went back...more than once. The good news is that over time this location REALLY seems to have turned it around!! In the last few months this has become my go-to Starbucks. I still typically opt for drive thru but the occasional walk ins have been met with stocked cases/shelves, clean counters, and really nice staff. They supposedly are open until 8. I rushed here to get here before closing, I arrived at 7:56, and as soon as I walked in, they told me they're closed. I pulled out my phone and showed them there were still 4 minutes left, and they told me all their machines were already shut down. Are you goddamn kidding me? If you're open until 8, then you're supposed to be OPEN UNTIL 8!!! PERIOD!! That is not how you run a business. The clover machine takes literally 30 seconds to brew a coffee, and that SHOULD be available right up until 7:59! I complained about this, and their response was "yeah well it takes time to shut down and clean these machines". Really? That's your answer? Fucking close earlier then! Either make your closing time earlier, OR, keep coffee available until the posted closing time! Unacceptable. Just because YOU want to go home 5 minutes earlier, does not give you the right to shut everything down early and deny customers service who make it there before closing. This is my go to stop before work in the morning. The drive thru is always quick and now with the new added feature of pre-ordering things go much quicker. I have never had a bad drink, food item, or experience at this location and it's always hopping before classes at MCC. Great staff :) read more

I do a mobile order most mornings to this Starbucks- it is almost always ready when I pop in, and if it's not it's only another minute or so! Food is always warmed up (not cold in the middle like I've gotten from other Starbucks), and haven't ever had a bad experience here!
