Sitting there with that thick maple glaze dripping over the edges and covered with crispy bacon pieces, it looked almost too good to pass up. The first bite completely lived up to the hype. The doughnut itself was soft and pillowy, while the maple glaze was rich, buttery, and packed with that warm cinnamon-maple flavor. Then the bacon kicked in. Crispy, smoky, salty, and just enough crunch to contrast the softness of the doughnut. The combination was ridiculous. Cello was the same, but different. Similar to the Starbucks ethos, they specialize in a number of fancy coffees, yet still offer plain old brewed coffee. We tried the brewed coffee (5-star fresh and hot), some Green Tea called mint (5-star delish), and a fruit crêpe. Now the fruit crêpe was also a 5-star offering, but you better come hungry ... it was a huge helping, and we ended up splitting it but still could not finish. It was a freshly made crêpe with Nutella and a light cream sauce inside, piled with fresh fruit and then a drizzle of Nutella and the cream sauce on top. This was a meal-sized delight. Many of the other offerings seem to be simply a different riff on the fruit crêpe, which can also come on a fresh waffle. Now this is not the kind of place where you pop in for a quick coffee to go ... but, rather, it takes time to get food (service) here because most of it is freshly made. But that said, if you have the time the food (crepes, coffee, and tea) were worth the wait. Ambiance wise, the decor was very nice ... just enough fru-fru to make you forget you're in a strip mall. There are a number of chairs, tables, and and sofas around to make many seating arrangements, which was nice; you can come with a group or as a single and feel welcome. The only negatives on our visit: the music list was fine, but way too loud; they must turn the music down so patrons can have a conversation. When we arrived we noticed an employee parking their car right in front of the establishment (5 feet from the entrance) and we thought that maybe they could have parked in the spaces just across the lot (35 feet from the door); it just makes sense to cater to your customers, rather than yourself. After waiting more than 25 minutes with no food or update, we went inside around 6:20 PM to check on our order. We were told it was still not ready and that it would be brought to our curbside spot when finished. We returned to our vehicle and continued waiting. Our order was finally brought out at 6:45 PM--51 minutes after we arrived. What made the experience even more frustrating was watching another customer who arrived approximately 20 minutes after us receive her curbside order before ours. There was no explanation for the delay, no estimated completion time, and no meaningful communication. I understand restaurants can get busy, but waiting 51 minutes for a mobile curbside order while customers who arrived much later are served first is unacceptable. This completely defeats the purpose of ordering ahead and selecting curbside pickup. I would appreciate an explanation and appropriate resolution from Culver's.

They have a special system and it works. It's organized, it's fast and it's flawless. I ordered the iced banana bread blonde with caramel and cold foam. It was so good! My husband had the banana bread blonde and he enjoyed his as well. Can't wait to go back!
