    Huevos Chilaquiles
    Nena C.

Tried this place March 23, 2022: Pros: This place has a variety of things. My bf had the stuffed French toast and loved it. Cons: I had the heuvos chilaquiles and they were definitely not traditional. It was like they fried a tortilla, topped it with sunny side up eggs, and some strange version of salsa verde. They were okay, not great, but they satiated my craving. No, the caveat here is, I'm very picky when it comes to my chilaquiles- actually with all my Mexican food, and I should know better than to order a Mexican dish at an American restaurant, but I was hoping for the best. Sometimes, places surprise you. Unfortunately, this did not. I also wanted to try their pies (which come from a nearby bakery) but at the time, they only had donuts. Overall: I think my review will increase in stars once I try some of their other menu items. But for now it remains a 3 and I'm still on the lookout for good chilaquiles in the area.

If you can get over the fact that it's in a little bit of a sketchy part of town and find parking, this place isn't so bad. The interior's quaint and cozy, and was decorated for the holidays. I ordered my usual when I'm trying a new breakfast place, eggs benedict. My husband ordered an egg dish with pancakes on the side. First of all, both our dishes were two egg dishes, but we were served four eggs each. Nice but unnecessary surprise! Both of our meals were really well done, with no mistakes, decent quality diner food. I will add that the hollandaise sauce was not straight from the powdered pack but tasted as if the chef added some real eggs and butter to it! This was awesome for me because it's really hard to find true hollandaise sauce anywhere, let alone a diner. His bacon was good, and the pancakes were standard pancakes, nothing amazing, but still really tasty. But, if breakfast is not your bag, the menu was loaded with a plethora of choices to satisfy most people. You could certainly do much worse than this place, but as far as diners go, I give it a good rating. I'd probably be a regular here if I lived in Chicago. I decided to give three stars because our wait-person was ... a robot. She wasn't, but she had no emotion or anything that made her relatable. Our order was correct, but there was zero interaction from her that let us know that she wanted to be there, or didn't want to be there, or ANYTHING! It was weird. She made us feel so awkward when she came by that I still remember her, and it's been 2 weeks since we went. To her credit, she was there and getting it done, but really, it's not hard to crack a smile. We are easy and friendly folks, and it was really close to Christmas... The man who checked us out at the counter was very friendly, though, so that was a nice point on the way out. Too bad he wasn't our wait person. That would have earned 4 stars for sure. Go check it out if you are on a diner outing. I bet you won't be disappointed.

Food is always delicious and the service prompt! This is a "Greek breakfast" establishment open til probably 3pm daily. Don't get the fish (YUK), but you'll NEVER GO WRONG w/breakfast of any kind - ESPECIALLY the seafood omelette!

It was a delight and pleasure to dine here. The restaurant is so nice and bright. Our waitress Amy was amazing!! She was courteous, polite and attentive. She made sure there was nothing we didn't have. The food came quick and was really good. I had the Denver's Omelette, it was huge and hash browns. It was fluffy and not over cooked. We also got the Greek Omelette, have had it at other places was surprised that it came with the greek sauce. The pancakes were light and fluffy like we like them. This was such a great experience, can't wait to come back.

Nothing wrong in particular just everything tasted prepackaged and not exciting to the taste buds. The service was quick and the it's cute inside. I was hoping for a bit more creativity in the menu.

One of my favorite restaurants to go to. I come here about 3-4 times a week. Cozy decor, friendly owner and great service. Never disappointed every time I eat there! Whether you want breakfast, lunch or some drinks, they have it all!

There are 4, count 'em, FOUR eggs on that plate of country-fried steak, with a short stack of perfectly fluffy pancakes rounding things out

The coffee selections are numerous, and you can get them on the strong side or a bit weaker. They also have a number of pastries that can delight your taste buds ... the only glitch we saw was that they did not have a large selection of croissants. For example, we could not get just a plain croissant. But even given that, this was a very nice coffee stop for those that really like good coffee. The dining room was nice and large, with many different sections to settle into with your coffee. Loads of outlets to plug in your lap top if you come with one for a little work. Staff was very friendly, and it is pretty much an order at the counter and get your coffee. They don't need a large staff to run this place, as it pretty much runs itself other than the coffee-master. Give this place a try.

I was greeted by friendly employees at two counters, one for Andy's Sunflower cafe which sells coffee and tea, and one for food (Ain't She Sweet). I had no idea what to order so I asked the teammate at the counter and after discussing my spice tolerance, decided to go for the Jerk Chicken Wrap since it's so popular. It was a bit spicer than medium, which I was warned, but it was worth it. The chicken was juicy and tender and I was impressed by the freshness of the other ingredients as well as their tortilla wrap selection! The chicken gumbo was also quite tasty. I would order both again. The prices were reasonable, it was a $3 upcharge for a side of soup. I sat in the restaurant to eat and enjoyed the music. I think I might have found my new lunch spot!

I was very surprised. The banana cake is delicious and moist. It's heavenly!!!!!! My jerk wrap was amazing! The chicken was cooked perfectly and it didn't have too much jerk sauce on it so it wasn't salty. It was delicious. I highly recommend Ain't She Sweet Cafe at either location!!!

Their gluten-free toast is excellent. I will definitely go back. I had trouble once again, however, with basic communication and it certainly wasn't on my end. I wanted the breakfast taco special but asked for a side of gluten-free toast instead of the corn tortillas as it was described (I don't like corn tortillas). I was told they "aren't allowed to make modifications," which actually makes no sense. First of all, you're basically telling the customer they can't have the simple and sensible modification they're asking for and that's not OK. So, knowing how people in this part of the country are with understanding things, I said fine and asked to just make it without the tortillas... because apparently asking for a side of toast was too much information to put together. Well, that was confusing too. Not surprised. So, finally I just ordered the darn dish exactly as it was described and said, "OK, I will just scrape the eggs off the tortillas." Meaning HELLO, you're making the customer work to do something easy you seem to not be able to do. Eventually, another person came over (the manager?) and suggested they turn the breakfast taco special into a sandwich with gluten-free toast. I was dumbfounded. I've been in Illinois for 11 years (married) and people out here are just very slow to put information together. I don't get it and it's actually pretty alarming. So, anyway, the manager (?) finally suggested that they "could just make it without tortillas and bring me a side of toast." I was like YEP. That is exactly how I ordered it the first time. Welcome to the Midwest. But anyway, they walked away like I was the problem. Again, I've been dealing with this out here for years. Most people have no idea what's going on and they make everything more complicated.
