Something tells me this DD location used to also have a Baskin Robbins. We were in this small town, one evening and I wanted ice cream. Google shows a BR, but one does t exist. It looks like there was an ice cream shop, but it was removed a while ago. Since the ice cream debacle, we've been back a few times to get coffee. It's packed this Saturday late a.m. Servers are pleasant and aim to please. My coffee was a bit too strong, but we went back in and they were happy to make it right. Haven't had donuts ir other food items here. They do close kinda early. Nevertheless, the friendly staff members make the experience better than average. read more

It's a Dunkys so there is only so much I can say about the food. This is a DD and Baskin Robbins location so you can get ice cream products here too. Everything I have had here has been up to standards. No complaints. The staff has been fun to deal with. They've been consistently cheerful and efficient each time I have been here. Dunkin' - the front of a restaurant - Donuts Near Me - Taneytown, Maryland

This establishment can use a deep clean. The staff should be more closely supervised, and there is a high turnover. The donuts are stale after a certain time of the day. Depending on who is working on the day you stop by, a ton of sugar may be dumped into your coffee or latte which is terribly gross. Old-fashioned donuts are hardly in stock. Don't bother swinging by later in the day, as most items on the menu more than likely will not be available to purchase. The service given here is nothing like the service given at the Westminster location. I truly hope the owner will make changes to this establishment, as this is the only Dunkin' restaurant in Taneytown. PLEASE make things better for this small town. read more

OK, so it's Dunkin Donuts. We only came here because we needed to kill 40 minutes while the CVS across the street filled a prescription. And DunkinD is DunkinD is DunkinD. 3 stars for the donuts, 2 stars for the coffee we had today. But wait. People here actually seem to enjoy their job. A few middle aged women (probably empty nester moms) smiled and joked and made sure to get the order just right. Prompt. Efficient. Pleasant. A total contrast from the the rude screw-you-Americans-English-is-my-third-language and I'm-so-17-and-groovy-you-should-be grateful-if-I-even-listen-to-your-order types behind the counter in Stroudsburg (reviewed yesterday). And the one outside West Point. And the one in Westminster. And far too many others we've stopped at for convenience along various New England highways. Go figure. A rare Dunkin D with service done right. In Taneytown!? 4 stars entirely for service. Nice work ladies. read more

Having lived 8 years in New England, maybe I have a higher set of standards for DD than I should, but I have noticed that DDs here in this area tend to be of considerably lower quality. (DD is a religion up there. There is a saying that a New Englander is lost if s/he cannot see at least two DDs at all times. However, they run like clockwork and know what they are doing. Not always so here in the Mid-Atlantic states.) The service here is better than at most other DDs in the area, which is not saying that much, but still is surprising in Tinytown, er, I mean, Taneytown. My order is (almost) never screwed up at this location, whereas a screwup or two at the Westminster DD is practically guaranteed every time. I'll agree with Scott and say that the staff here is cheerful and seem genuinely happy, which is a plus. This is a very small DD (there are about 2-3 tables) and the parking lot is also rather small, so drive thru is advisable. read more

My spouse and I pass through Taneytown 6 days a week for work and stop at this Dunkin nearly every morning for coffee and a lot of the time get food too. Most of the time we are told to pull up and wait. Even when there's no cars behind us! I guess they have to go milk the almonds and collect the fresh eggs before bringing our order since it takes forever. Nearly every time our order is messed up. The wrong bagel, wrong coffee, wrong flavor, too much cream, etc but have only called to complain twice when the coffee orders were too screwed up to drink. The first time was a couple weeks ago, my spouse (vegan) and I (lactose intolerant) always order almond milk and this time they used real milk. We both took large gulps of our coffee, looked at each other and realized we both had just had real milk. We were not happy, that is a major screw up!! We were both so sick all day at work!! We couldn't get a hold of anyone at the store so we called corporate and they helped us get in touch which resulted in replacements. Yesterday we went through and ordered a vanilla iced coffee and a cold brew coffee and a bagel. The cold brew wasn't cold brew and both coffees had way too much cream in them, they were undrinkable but we didn't think we had time to turn around to ask for them to be remade so when I got to work I called and told them what happened and they said we could have them replaced the next day. So we go back this morning and my spouse orders the cold brew, instead of an iced coffee I decided to go with an iced latte (since they can't ever seem to get just an iced coffee correct). The manager was at the window and was haughty over the whole situation. She informed us in a condescending tone that she would be charging for the latte because it's different from an iced coffee. I asked if we could pay the difference as I was fine doing that but wanted the money I spent and wasted yesterday compensated. She didn't answer, had an attitude as she closed the window to go do whatever she was doing and came back to tell us the total which was $7.50. Then accused my spouse of only give her $7 when I know she had given $8, because I saw her count it out. Not sure what her problem was there! At this point we were already done and irritated with how we were being treated so my spouse just gave her another dollar so we could get our order and leave. The staff here is nice enough, even if they screw the coffee orders up constantly. The manager handled the situation very rudely. I'm a general manager myself and would never speak to or treat customers that way. Tone and attitude make a huge difference in customer relations. The rudeness and attitude on top of the hassle of almost always getting wrong or bad coffees has made us decide to just wait until we get to Westminster and go to the Dunkin there in the shoppers shopping center. Much faster, orders are always correct, and customer service is great. I see some other reviewers on here and other review sites say that they will be going to the Westminster Dunkin as well and suggest you do the same! read more

TERRIBLE experience. Young boy behind counter was beyond rude, disrespectful & a disgrace to your store/company. As soon as we got to the register to order, he spent 5+ minutes flirting with other staff. He finally took our order & literally threw the donut I ordered at the counter for me to pick up. As I was waiting for my drink, the same boy that took my order signaled a hand gun with his fingers at other employees right in front of other customers. Once I got my hot chocolate, I took a sip to notice that it was extremely chunky & sour. I threw it out immediately. Get your employees in line. Will NOT be returning for sure. read more

Slowest drive thru ever!! Will not take your order until the car at window pulls off!!

After my experience today at this Dunkin' I would rate it a ZERO if I could. The girl at the drive thru was beyond rude. No Hello, hi or good morning much less a how are you..... She had an attitude from the moment I pulled up to the window and when I pointed out that my order was wrong she yelled at me and told me I would have to pull forward. Since the order was wrong I asked her if she had the right order and she yelled again and said yes she had the order correct - it was made wrong and I would have to pull up. No please, no I'm sorry.... After pulling up and waiting for about 5 minutes and watching 4 other cars get their orders and drive off (keep in mind my order was 2 French Vanilla Coffees with a little ice so they are warm and not hot - not exactly rocket science) I went into the store and waited for 3 or 4 minutes and got to watch 2 more orders made before someone told me they would be with me in a minute. There were no other customers in the store.... After being ignored some more and seeing my coffees sitting on the behind the counter I announced that I was from the drive- thru. A girl picked up the coffees and sat them in front of me without saying a word. As she walked off I said I want the manager's name and phone number. The guy behind the counter said - that was the manager so I said I wanted the owner's name and phone number. A few minutes went by and I told the guy that the longer I wait the madder I'm getting - to which he said nothing - just walked away. The manager finally brought the owner's name and number and set the paper on the counter in front of me without saying a word - no I'm really sorry about this, have a great day, NOTHING.....WTH kind of customer service is this? To top it all off my order was wrong AGAIN! To his credit I called the owner to let him know about my experience. He was extremely nice and apologetic and offered to do something to make it up to me but unfortunately after this experience I will never go to this Dunkin' again. I realize that everyone has a bad day and honestly my order at multiple Dunkin's is often wrong but I never say anything because the staff is usually friendly, busy and let's face it - they aren't paying these people a lot....But what happened today is far beyond unacceptable. read more

Ordered ice mocha latte through their drive thru. After I left the drive thru I tasted my drink and they made me an ice coffee with mocha flavor and not ice latte. So I turned back at the round about... Parked my truck and went in. It was really a hassle but I needed my drink right since I've paid for it. Told the guy it wasn't right so he made me a new drink. No biggie but I was expecting them to make the correct drink in the beginning since they should know the differences of latte and coffee. Although the price is a bit cheaper than Westminster, next time I will wait till I get to Westminster to get my latte. Dunkin in Hampstead Exxon also could not get the latte drink right either! But the staff in taneytown seems nice and didn't give me attitude when I told them they messed up my drink (and my evening!!!) read more

Staff and management are always friendly but sometimes there is only one person working so service can be slow and some employees are not trained properly on how to ring up coupons (which can be a hassle.) Sometimes the ice cream is freezer burnt and sometimes it is fresh. My sig. other enjoys the donuts and beverages. It is disappointing that when you call they do not always answer the phone. We like that there is a bathroom key, this provides extra security and privacy and the bathrooms are always clean. Sometimes in the warmer months there are strange customers who harass other customers outside. The location is easy to get to and they have their own parking lot which is good. read more

This is my usual morning commute stop. I've only ever had to wait longer than usual twice. The staff always has their stuff together and is very friendly and efficient. The coffee is always perfect how I like it and I've never had a bad food experience when I decide to get breakfast! If you haven't tried the veggie egg white on flat bread, you must!!! read more

I am giving this business one star. The business recently reopened after a fire. I went into the business to get a banana split. I was told at the Baskin Robbins counter that all orders are being taken at the Donut counter. The store was packed with rowdy but not rude children. There did not seem to be any adults responsible for the children ranging from age 12 to 15. As I approached the donut counter there was a lady standing there already. I was about to ask her if she had been waited on when a rude child jumped in front of me. I began to give my order anyway and the lady behind the counter turned her attention to the child who was ordering for all of the children. I turned and walked out of the store. read more
