I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality of Dunn Brothers coffee. I typically make my coffee at home or support small local coffee shops but when I'm in a pinch, Dunn Brothers delivers! I like to get their Hazelnut Flat White and I appreciate that their espresso beans are smooth and strong without being overpowered by too much milk. Their food options are also pretty good, I've gotten their salads and their sandwich before. Their drive-thru service is always fast and friendly. read more

So I've been a customer at Dunn Brothers for well since the opening. Several times I've been there and order a nitro cold brew and it's just full of foam. One time I complained and they had me drive all the way back and redid my coffee. Well today I go in and order a nitro cold brew no ice a little bit of cream and I got a cup full of foam with no coffee and then I would say 5% of it was full of coffee. So I went up and said this is a six dollar coffee could you please take care of this? It is full of foam. The lady was nice and was trying to scoop the foam out and poured the coffee several times. I probably ended up with 25% of my cup with coffee once the foam settled. I am done with your establishment. Besides the fact that I got an avocado toast with no bacon on it at all just a little pieces of bacon. The place was full of people. Why would you short change your customers like this? Stopped in for coffee on my way to work, and was very happy with Dunn brothers. They have a large variety of specialty lattes and regular coffee variations to make everyone happy. I ordered a coffee with steamed almond milk, and my boyfriend ordered a cappuccino. Both were fantastic. They also offered a variety of pastries and sandwiches that I will have to try next time I visit. We were in a rush so they got us in and out of there within 5 minutes, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved this coffee shop, and will definitely make it my regular morning coffee place when I have Burlington layovers. read more

This is a Starbucks on steroids. The is restaurant sized, but very inviting and comfortable. They have an extensive menu - muffins, breakfast/lunch sandwiches, soups, paninis... their coffee menu is sufficient; hot drinks, cold drinks, chai lattes, and smoothies. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. You can also download the app for easy payment. You receive a $3 credit for linking your debit/credit card, and receive $3 for every $50 you spend. Great job. Loved the atmosphere... Loved the staff... Very friendly team of folks working on a Sunday morning. Perfect proportion of Ice to Coffee for the Ice coffee drink that both my wife and I had. Also had the strawberry / white chocolate croissant. The staff recommended that I have it 'warmed up' which I did. Very nice recommendation. My only suggestion is to have the staff wear 'name tags'. I would have loved to mention one of them in this comment. I'll stop by next time we are in town. read more

Dunn Brothers has been a favorite of ours for many years, and we were ecstatic to find this 1 close to home! It is brand new and very inviting. It has a cool industrial feel, with a fireplace, patio seating, and a room for meetings. They roast fresh every hour and give free samples! The roast master is very friendly and knowledgable. While visiting Burlington from out of town, I was staying at a nearby hotel and couldn't face another hotel breakfast. I chose to take advantage of the Dunn Brothers drive-through and the employee was cordial. I ordered an omelet and the employee confirmed that I wanted the multigrain toast that's included with the omelet. I confirmed that I wanted the toast and also ordered a latte. The omelette was tasty with fresh ingredients but was incredibly tiny-had to be only one egg used. The toast was not included in the bag and I certainly needed it, given the size of the omelette. The latte was perfect. Not sure I would return here unless I just desired a beverage. read more

I have been to many Dunn Brothers Coffee shops across the "Great Northland". I was happy to finally have one here in Iowa. The coffee is wonderful, and generally the baristas are very friendly and knowledgeable. I was in during the month of December and ordered an Infinite Black Cold press with simple syrup. I looked behind the counter to see the person who took my order dumping sugar packets inside! I asked if it was mine and reminded her that I wanted simple syrup. She said "They are literally the same thing!" I explained to her that sugar crystals won't dissolve in cold beverages, and she fixed it. Tonight my wife and I went the drive through, and my wife ordered a steamer with simple sugar. The same teen girl with a long straight and high pony tail said, "You mean sugar?" My wife said yes, in syrup form. Then she said,"You mean just want milk and sugar?" My wife said yes, steamed milk and liquid sugar. Then she ordered a double shot espresso, and her response was "You mean you want a latte?" All of this was borderline rude. My wife explained that those were separate. (She likes to make her own latte machiattos.) Then I ordered an Infinite Black with honey and no ice. When we got to the window, my wife checked to make sure it was simple syrup, and the girl started to go through the whole thing again. Then she handed it out and very rudely said, "It's sugar syrup, by the way." Meanwhile, my drink came out from another young girl WITH ice, and was handed to me and pronounced a tea latte. I reminded her it was supposed to be coffee, and she argued that I had ordered tea. I said no, I had ordered an Infinite Black Cold Press, and she said that WAS tea! It actually even looked like coffee, but finally an adult came over and told her it was. We love Dunn Bros coffee, but don't go during the after hours high school mean girl crew! And for the love of coffee, will someone teach them about simple syrup, a standard used in all cold beverages??!! read more
