Didn't expect to have such a great experience at a paint store, or any experience really. Buy paint and leave was my goal. Apparently that's hard to do when you have no paint knowledge. Brisa to the rescue! She was so helpful! She walked me through each sheen, different grades of paint for different rooms, and waited patiently while I called my painter. I left with confidence, which is a great feeling after being frazzled by colors and costs. I returned days later for more of the same wall color and stupidly brought my Home Depot color match sample and not the Dunn Edwards formula I was actively using. Purchased paint over the phone as an individual, I asked for the smallest size available (which was $18, rip off). Whoever helped me on the phone said buying then and holding was the best option in case it sold out. I say okay because I don't know anything, I'm just trying to buy some paint so I can move out. When I went to pick unit up I noticed the sticker said no returns. I walked right back in to return it and told them no one told me it wasn't returnable, as I was just purchasing to match test an apartment I was moving out of. They were very aggressive when telling me I "should've known it wasn't returnable" and "who buys paint and doesn't know what color they want", which was very rude and demeaning. In addition, the manger kept talking over me and telling me it's my fault for not knowing their policy. I told them random people who aren't in the profession don't know things, and it's be helpful if these policies were told, especially if you're providing a service you say is "necessary" over the phone. The manager only let me leave with a store credit usable within 90 days, which I'm not even going to use. Garbage location with non transparent and demeaning workers. Nice parking lot though. read more

So we needed interior paint for our house. We have new walls and need paint for the entire interior of the house. We know nothing about paint other than the color and finish we wanted. Steve, the Assistant Manager, was very helpful and gave us a "paint education." He helped us select a paint shade for us and provided some paint samples for us to take home and test drive. We returned to this Dunn Edwards store and Steve was not in but we spoke with the store manager, Daniel. Even better!!! He reiterated the importance of selecting the correct primer for virgin walls etc., and gave us a great price on our total paint purchase. We were very satisfied with Daniel and Steve's knowledge and assistance. Real nice guys. The store was neat, clean and well organized. We highly recommend this store for all your home painting needs. I was attended and approached by STEVE right away and quickly asked about my needs he was very informational as to what I needed for my project and made sure I had all the CORRECT add ons so that I won't have to go anywhere else. He was also very helpful in explaining to me what and why I needed the stuff that I was taking he didn't just try to sell me a bunch of stuff he made my visit very personal and very professional. As a district manager myself this is definitely something that I admire. Great customer service and all the add-ons that I actually need. This place is AWESOME! I was charged with overseeing the painting of 11 large rooms (in one day) at our school. I've never painted on anything other than water color paper and a canvas before. When I write that I KNEW NOTHING about what painting rooms entailed, I really mean it. Anyway, I stopped into this location on Vermont just to take a peek at their 'merchandise' and right away a lovely lady (Vida?) at the counter greeted me and so kindly answered what must have been a 100 questions. I told her I would be back in a few days to place a large order. I went back a few days later. The same lady so kindly and patiently answered another large set of questions, helped me choose the appropriate rollers, flooring cover, painters tape, angled brushes, etc., and scheduled my weekend delivery. Everything was delivered to my school on time, and the delivery man was extremely efficient and courteous. Needless to say, our 'painting day' was a tremendous success. All 11 rooms were painted and painted well because of the correct rollers, brushes, etc. we used per Dunn Edward's suggestions. We had some leftover pole extensions and some other supplies, which I was able to return without ANY issue. The gentleman who processed my refund was actually the manager, and he was very helpful and friendly, too. Our school will be expanding every year, and that means we're going to continue to need paint and painting-related supplies. I'm so glad that we've found our permanent supplier. I originally got paint samples from Restoration Hardware and Lowe's for a home project, but went to Dunn Edwards to get some Jeff Lewis samples as well. I loved the paint and ended up coming to Dunn Edwards several more times to get more paint and supplies. Everyone I interacted with was really helpful, especially as my paint knowledge was next to nothing. With their help I was able to make a huge change in my apartment all by myself, which was really rewarding. I'll be going to them in the future for all my paint needs. ALSO: the yelp page says they're closed on Saturdays - it's not true. They're open 6:30AM-5PM. read more

The Everest paint has lasted a year and looks good, unlike the cheaper paint which didn't last but maybe two years before I needed to repaint (it wears). Easy to put on and I only really need one coat, two at most, and my walls have a light texture. It's expensive but if you can afford it, it's worth the difference. Giving them 2 stars because I've been here before and it was a complete different experience. I waited 10 minutes to finally arrive at the counter. I place my items down and still wait. Of course the cashier was still assisting another customer. Ok cool. When he finishes he finally says who's next. Number number number. Customer i came in after said "I'm next". Ok cool. I tell the cashier I'm next but didn't get a number. Didn't know I was suppose to. He says oh too bad you have to get a number for me to help. By this time 6 other customers had come in. About 13 minutes after going inside the store I finally spoke with someone and this is what he says. Too bad you have to get a number for me to help you. Wth is that!!! I was not going to wait who knows how long until I was next. 3 guys on their iPads searching for stuff, super slow service and they can not help me because I was not aware I had to grab a number. Remember I had my stuff already on the counter ready to pay and they want me to wait even longer. Nope sorry I'm gone. No I will not return to this location. I wound rather drive a few more miles out of my way to a different location than be treated like this again. Rude and unprofessional. read more
