Lesley saved the day! I went to Dunn-Edwards (sunset and la Brea) and the parking in that plaza is always challenging. I got a space, took a number and then I was informed that "the guy who makes the paint is at lunch, so come back in an hour". I didn't have the time to spare, so I looked on yelp! For the nearest paint store. Lesley at Sherwood answered on the second ring and she told me their pricing, told me how to open an account for extra discount and informed me they have a dedicated lot. The guy wasn't helpful at all, had a bad attitude and every answer was a no: "I can't match that color, I can't find that code, I can't find anything similar" even if I showed him that a simple Google search would return the color I needed it. Asked if a specific paint was flat or glossy his answer would be "I wouldn't know". Talk about not liking your job AND making sure customers understand they're just an annoyance to you. read more

I never leave reviews but I had such a pleasant experience that I had to write about it. First time painter, had no clue what to do. I just knew the ballpark of colors I wanted. My floors are dark gray and so hard to do anything with. JOSUE from Sherwin-Williams helped me pick the most beautiful combo of colors for my walls. He was an expert and also so sweet and fun to talk to! He really took extra care and attention to detail. I didn't even know what tools I needed and he gave me the perfect set. When I started painting, even him knowing that I needed the wider painters' tape than the average one people get ended up coming true. The Sherwin Williams closest to me on Western Ave. referred me to this location because their paint machine was broken and I'm so glad I went! Not only was the store super clean and organized with tons of free parking, but the staff (Josue, Jesus, Aaron) absolutely blew me away with their fantastic customer service! I was greeted warmly by Jesus who chatted with me while Aaron prepared my paint, and Josue walked in with some shakes from Yum Yum Donuts, where I then made a joke "Oh thanks for bringing me one!", and he handed one to me! As a pregnant lady craving something sweet and who had been painting for the last several hours, he literally made my day! Josue then carried the paint can to my car for me and congratulated me on my pregnancy. All I can say is wow, I am a customer for life and I owe these guys the next time I come in! Sherwin Williams has finally opened a much needed location on Highland near Melrose. The store is quite big and extremely clean and new inside, and as usual with Sherwin Williams, the customer service was above and beyond. I have a professional account with them, and I use Sherwin Williams almost exclusively for design jobs due to their fantastic customer service. But Josue at the Highland location surpassed my already high expectations with his fantastic customer service. I will definitely be making this location my new home base. read more

This review is based mostly on the quality of the paint I received vs the store. I will say, I brought in a sample to color match and they were not able to get it right and weren't really willing to start over. I was trying to get a dark orange but what I received was pretty much red, which is really frustrating. Anyway, they said they could only do the color with an exterior paint and said that I would need to apply primer to the door. Which I did. The paint had some of the worst coverage I've ever seen. It was like painting a door with water color. It laid on really splotchy and was very hard to get an even paint job. It was truly the worst paint I have ever used. I ended up going to Farrow & Ball to buy a higher quality paint. As I suspected, the better paint provided great coverage, required 2 layers at most, and was easy to paint evenly. 1 coat of that paint covered the wood grain in the door instantly. I had 3 coats of the Sherwin Williams paint and could still see right through it. Not making that mistake again. read more

I love this place. The staff at this store is so friendly---they go out of their way to help with everything from color options to choosing the correct paint type for your job. Everyone here gives 100% of their time and attention to each customer. I will never buy paint at a big box store, when I can get such wonderful personal attention at this Sherwin Williams store. What a hidden gem!!! This is my third time to this location and they never disappoint! What makes this visit special is that I bought a gallon of paint at Home Depot (big mistake) I had an extra gallon and ask if they could lighten it up to use in a different area of my home and that I would pay for the extra paint. They refused. :( I took the paint to Sheraton Williams and they immediately got to work on it! I was greeted by Josue who had a big warm welcoming smile and instantly helped me. He was so patient preparing the color to my standards and answered all my questions. I noticed that Jesus was working who had previously helped me in the past, what a great crew! The saying "You get what you pay for!" Skip Home Depot who could care less if they have your business and head over to (Sherwin Williams) where they will take the time and make sure that you are satisfied. read more

This place is soooo much better then the location on Western. They were so super helpful. This location also has a HUGE parking lot. The other locations parking is a nightmare. Excellent customer service by Jesus. I came to buy 5 gallon buckets with lids that have gaskets, which are extremely hard to find anywhere. I need them to store lotion which will dry out if the lid does not seal air tight. We found the buckets and Jesus gave us lids for free from the back, as they are clearing them out, which was very nice. The buckets are nice solid quality and I highly recommend this store for their excellent customer service. read more

I can't say enough about Julio Baltodano. He is the manager at the Highland Sherwin Willams. Every time I come in there I'm greeted with positive energy and with a smile. I was a bit frustrated with choosing the right color to paint my home and Julio couldn't have been more attentive. He listened to my exact needs and was patient enough to help me choose the right color. He even took me outside to show me the difference in the hues with the actual daylight (something I never would've done) He also recommended a local painter who got the job done in no time! My house looks awesome and I seriously couldn't have done it without the help of Julio and the rest of the staff at this location! Thanks guys! read more
