If Dunwoody Pediatrics kept me in one piece for 18 years then they'll do great for you.

Wanted to take both of my children to this office and was informed that I need to bring their medical records in. Each medical record is 50+ pages, so I asked if I could email them. I was told no, because the file size would be too large - i would have to print them. This is ridiculous in 2025, that first off I wouldn't be able to sign a release of records for them to obtain the records themselves. Nor can I email them or upload them to a portal. Furthermore, the woman i spoke to was unfriendly and unhelpful. After this interaction, I will NOT be taking my children to this office, im sure this is a sign that I should find somewhere else. read more

Dr. Linda Kelly at Dunwoody Pediatrics in Alpharetta is truly one of a kind. She is kind, patient, and incredibly understanding--especially when it comes to caring for my child who has severe autism. He's almost 18 years old and can be really difficult In medical appointments. Dr Kelly takes the time to connect with him, explain things to him-whether he fully understands or not, and comfort him in a way that feels genuine and compassionate. She never rushes us, blocking off more of her schedule for him, and she always makes sure we leave feeling heard and supported. It's rare to find a doctor who goes above and beyond the way she does. We live in Canton now, but I gladly make the drive just to keep her as our pediatrician. We've seen a LOT of doctors, specialists, etc. over our son's 18 years and she is truly the BEST. We just saw her this morning for his yearly physical and I always leave just amazed at her. read more

We love the doctor but terrible support staff. We have been here for one hour twenty minutes and still have not seen the doctor. It seems to take 3 hours every time we bring our son for a routine checkup and this is unacceptable. read more

We have been seeing dr. Reisman for a while. He is good but is always in hurry. Doesn't take much time to listen and answer your questions. It's our first born and we have a lot of questions. After taking an appointment months in advance, we have always waited atleast an hour to see the doctor. I find it so disappointing waiting with a small baby for hours to see the doctor who comes and checks out in 3-5 mins read more

There is only one Dr Reisman and we have had the good fortune for Dr. R to oversee my children-through- teen medical care. Dr. Reisman a role model of a physician, has always given us the time we needed, we always felt we were in the best hands. He has given us the feeling that we are all valued as patients, truly interested in the kids well-being, both physical and emotional. His interest is in my children as people, building a trusting rapport with each of them. Dr. Reisman has excellent bedside manner, empathetic to our concerns, kind, compassionate and respectful and appreciative of his staff. I want to say I have had great in-office experiences and love Dr. Wilburn. However, it is impossible to connect with a nurse on the nurse triage line. You first have to listen to 3 minutes of introduction on the mainline to get to the nurses' line (hint - hit 3 to avoid listening to a long message about COVID and weekend sick clinic). Then you have to listen to a LONG message about how to leave a message for the nurses because they never answer the phone and prefer to just review the messages. I have even tried on multiple occasions to "hit 0 to speak to a nurse" and even then I get sent back to listen to the nurse triage line message and have to again leave a voicemail. It's hard with a baby to answer your phone when people call so it would be nice to at least have them answer when called since that's a time I know I can speak. I have been playing phone tag with them to try and get results for my child for over a week now. read more

These people giving 3 or less stars have no clue what's they are talking about! My brothers have seen reisman for years and now my own kids see reisman! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my Kids! People complaining he is too quick and rushes are dEF not seeing reisman if they want to complain maybe yea if you said he takes too long and runs behind BUT do you really think about it he is running behind because he is being so detailed and thorough with every patient no matter if your late and how many questions you have. HE ANSWERS ALL YOIR QUESTIONS! he knows his stuff and is the best in Atlanta! If your not seeing him or anyone in dunwoody pediatrics well I would get on a waitlist or beg to get in! I am just besides myself as I write this review. I have been trying for over an hour to get in touch with a nurse regarding my sick 8 month old. NO one will answer simple questions, they just put you on hold or transfer you to a nurse that apparently don't exist because I can't get anyone to answer the phone. read more

We LOVE Dr. Sherwinter! He was a lifesaver when I had my first born and had to switch practices when the other pediatrician made me doubt my abilities to breastfeed because my child was in the 5th percentile. Dr. Sherwinter reassured me that was all nonsense and my son was healthy and thriving and would catch up in percentiles. He is a huge advocate for WHO charts which represent the true population of breastfed babies - not a mixed bag of formula and breastfed. He was spot on - my son went on to be in the 95th percentile - And we were told to give him less grains LOL! Dr Sherwinter has the best bedside manner - he is so playful with my son and genuinely cares. He actually called me personally after one sick visit where he could tell Milan wasn't himself and had been vomiting for days. What doctor does that these days? The only reason for 4 stars is that this is an old school practice - lots of pen and paper systems, non digital scale, and often there are delays in seeing doctors. We overlook this for the quality of care we get - we are excited our second child will be part of the Dunwoody Pediatric family. Dr. Sherwinter rocks!! read more

Where do we start? We moved back to Dunwoody 6/7 years ago, left one of the most compassionate pediatrician offices (Pediatrics Physicians) in Historic Roswell to learn that Dunwoody Peds was on the opposite end of the spectrum. First visit, they forgot to administer a required shot for my then 2nd newborn only to learn that at the 2nd visit (which I had to ask or else not sure when they would have noticed), which then delayed all of her shots. We should have left the Practice then, but wanted to give them another chance... Throughout our time there, the staff consistently showed no respect nor care towards clients and treated us very rudely. It is obvious that this place is money hungry and that is their #1 priority- not the patients. The Doctors are good (when you see them after long waits), but it is clear that they pretend to play good cop behind the staff that they train and maybe even encourage them to carry out the assembly line type interactions with people. Or else, why/how would the staff continue to do this without repercussions? I'm sure I am not the only one that's submitted feedback. The staff has somewhat improved to date (too many complaints maybe?), but still, it's time to move along to a Practice that cares and are pleasant to deal with. Some examples of the Cons for Dunwoody Pediatrics: · Rude/uncaring/unresponsive staff o Example, left a message with the Nurse at 8 am about a concern for my child and never received a call back o You'll never hear a please or a thank you. Only commands. And god forbid if you are a couple of minutes "late" (ie, show up less than 10 minutes prior to your appointment time, which is always inconsistent between your record and theirs), they will threaten to not see you at that time. o When we called in to ask about the Med Record Transferring process, we never received a call back § But if you owe them any money (for more than a week), you'll be the first call on their list. · Difficult Patient Portal (I am in IT) to complete your paperwork each visit- takes great effort and the office does not receive it so you'd have to redo anyhow when you are there (even with confirmation of a successful submission, they make you redo). Happened to us twice. · Long wait times (you'll get lucky once in a while and get a shorter wait time but still at least 30 mins). · Beware- there is a huge cost associated with transferring your records to another provider- $85 + postage for the family- this is print cost. Why can't they just transfer electronically or fax it like everyone else? No one asked for hard copies. This was scandalous. There were other options and information that they could've advised to get around that fee, yet they just went with the most expensive route- because they don't care. There were no concerns for why someone is leaving the Practice... All in all, there are many better options out there. We do not need to accept this kind of service out of convenience in location (only good thing they've got going on for them). It is hard enough with everything going on, everyone deserves respect. We couldn't be more relieved (and happy to pay the Medical Records transfer fee of almost $100) to finally say good-bye to Dunwoody Pediatrics. Good luck to you, and we hope that you will be able to better train your office to show more care and compassion for your patients, from beginning to end. read more

We like our doctor, but it is a busy practice so visits are always rushed, and time with the doctor - very limited. At our allotted well-child visits there is never time to ask all our questions. We scheduled an additional visit (for which we knew we have to pay out of pocket), and when we got onto our second question, we were told they can only address one concern, if we have more we have to make another appointment. I tried to address some questions via the nurse line, but it is not helpful, every time I call the only advise I get is to make an appointment. Last but not least, the Billing department has been very difficult and unpleasant to work with. They were rude when I had a question about a bill, they are hard to get a hold of, and nine times out of ten, don't return phone calls. read more

Dr. Reisman is fantastic- caring and knowledgeable. Really nice guy, relates well to the kids and parents. We feel very lucky to have been treated by him. We've had some trouble in the past getting nurse staff to return calls/answer questions in a timely manner. Today, I called with an urgent need for immunization records (we've moved to another state and need to get the kids registered for school). I was nervous because in the past I haven't had a timely response for anything pharmacy or administrative, but I have to say I was so relieved when Jamilla answered the phone and resolved my issue while we were on the telephone. This practice doesnt care about the patients at all only about $$. I brought my daughter in for her two month checkup and they wouldnt see us because they say that we dont have insurance but we do and i had proof. They dont want to help people, they only want to be paid read more

The doctors at this location are good but the wait times are horrible. Plan on being seen 45 mins to an hour after your appointment time. There are better and more efficient pediatricians to go to. Not recommended. read more

The wait times have always been horrible. The last straw was when I waited over two hours. They had the nerve to tell me I should allot more time for appointments. We Ended up leaving after two hours without even seeing the doctor. And I switched immediately after that. No one can take four hours off of work just to take their child to the doctor. Want the best doctors, Physician assistant (Ms. Samantha) , medical assistant aka vaccinations fairy (Mr. Sal), and super friendly front desk staff to care for your child/ren's medical needs, then Dunwoody Pediatrics is the place for you!!! We have been going to this practice for 5 years now with our four children. I can't say enough great things about this practice. Dr. Reisman is great! He always takes his time with us and is super thorough. The other thing I really appreciate about him is that he gives us suggestions that are outside of the box. For example, we had major diaper rash issues with our first. We tried all the butt creams over the counter at target and nothing really worked. Dr Reisman recommended bag balm, which is a thick ointment made for cow utters. My baby's butt was as smooth as butter after just one night of using that stuff. Now we have two tins of bag balm in our house at all times. We use it for every skin issue there is. It's absolutely magical. The other thing I love about this practice is that they get you in so quickly for same day appointments. And they usually get you in to see your own doctor. The only time I've had to see another provider is when Dr Reisman was not in the office. The other providers are great too. I have not seen anyone who was less than wonderful. An example of how fast they got us in is when my 1yo had an allergic reaction to peanuts. I called the office and, instead of telling me to go to the ER, they got me in to see Samantha, the PA, right away. The support staff are all wonderful as well. I have never encountered a non-smiling face. You can't go wrong with dunwoody pediatrics. read more

For a baby wellcheck, you may receive two bills because they consider some questions is considered as regular visit question. Be careful, when they ask you any further questions? don't say anything. For newborn regular questions, they would charge you copay. Hard to ask bill question, hard to ask medical records because it's always voice mail answer. The male doctor is not nice at all, he just tried to end up the baby checkup asap but charge me twice. read more

Dr. Reisman is a great doctor and I would recommend him to anyone! The STAFF and the business in general... I would not recommend. I have had a few problems with the staff (rudeness, inaccurate height measurement of my child, delayed appt scheduling) nothing I couldn't look past because I really liked the Doctor. Sometime during mid-fall I tried to schedule my child's annual well checkup, but was told to wait until a later date due to "transitioning to paperless". During this past month alone, I have tried to call and left three voicemails to get my child's appointment scheduled.... the third time I finally received a call back. And this isn't the first time I could not get a call back... I had a similar experience during the summer months. Maybe it's only one person who is at fault for not checking the offices voicemails (the only way to make an appointment) or maybe it's just the office in general. My family has only lived in the area for a year and this has been our experience with this practice. I have finally decided to switch doctors/practices because this place is a headache. read more

My kids have been patients here since we moved to Georgia in 2006. We LOVE Dr. Kelly! Her bedside manner is wonderful, she's very caring, extremely thorough, and she listens to all my concerns. There are plenty of pediatricians offices that are closer to us, but it's worth the 45 minute drive to get to Dunwoody Pediatrics! You can't beat this location BUT do yourself a favor and avoid the frustration the office staff will cause you and find another office that will actually appreciate your business. From the moment I transferred over my children's medical forms to the last appointment I attended this place was awful! The Dr.'s I saw we're fine but the office staff is so rude and must hate their jobs because thats the attitude they bring. I should have known when at my first visit the front desk was talking about an Indian man who needed some forms for school and wasn't getting the help he needed from just calling in.. to his credit I had just completed the same request and the office process was slow and not user friendly.. but the way the staff talked about him right in front of me was appalling to say the least. I can go on and on about my horrible experiences which I ignored for convenience of location and thinking it would be just as horrible an experience as transferring to this office- then I called Sandy Springs Pediatrics and in 5 minutes I was done! So don't be like me and go somewhere better 1st! They also do not answer the phones regularly so I have never received a call back to cancel my kids upcoming appointments- figures! read more

The rescheduled me three times and the staff made me seem as if I was a bad mother because I no longer wanted my child to come to this office. I also had a terrible experience with the billing dept. Kids checkup, I love the Doctor's here. My kids have been going here from the time they were born and they are 9 and 11 now. All Doctor's and Nurses here are wonderful and have taken very good care of my boys. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a Pediatrician. read more

Cannot express how much I love this (Dunwoody location) office! Dr. Reisman is phenomenal and always takes his time when he is with you. We met with him while I was still pregnant to try to find a pediatrician for our little bundle of joy. I was a thousand percent sure we had found our dr after one 25 min meeting. Dr. Reisman is an informative, soft spoken, kind eyed man with a calming demeanor about himself. He is never rushed and gladly answers any and all questions you have, regardless of how silly you think they sound coming from first time parents. Not only were my husband and I happy, but once my baby was born....HE loved the dr as well. My baby has never cried when in the presence of Dr. Reisman.....even while being flipped over and ears and eyes checked....all smiles and giggles. I'm hoping that we can stay with this office forever and that Dr. Reisman never leaves or retires!!! Ms. Gwen at the front desk is always a pleasure to speak with when scheduling future appts or having to reschedule. She always gives a courtesy call a couple days in advance and is also never rushed or seeming irritated, even after hearing sick and screaming kids all day. Lol. I am shocked that this practice has such low reviews. Dunwoody Pediatrics has been taking care of my children for the past 15 years. I adore the physicians and always know that they have my children's best interests at heart. I will remind all you internet "believers" that you should remember people who write reviews are often the ones with a bee in their bonnet or a gripe! The doctors are great...if you can get access to them. There are long waits to get appointments, to see the actual doctor and you can NEVER get someone live on the phone. I often call around noon since I work full time and they put on an answering service for an HOUR for lunch so you cant talk to anyone. Why wouldnt they take shifts so someone is always available??? I always have to leave messages to get a call back and NEVER can speak to the doctor directly, ever. Often I will call at 4:45pm on my way home or after meetings and they have already put the answering service up even though the office doesnt close until 5pm. The last appointment they have is at 4:20pm and they often lock the doors before 5pm. I've found this office not to be very accommodating or flexible which is really hard for working parents and why I would suggest looking elsewhere. The location is great and why we ended up there in the first place. Again, the doctors themselves are great but you can only talk to them directly during the 10 minutes of your appointment that you have to pay a copay for. They dont do email which in this day and age doesnt make sense. If the staff was quicker and went out of their way to get back to patients and accommodate them, this practice would be a lot better. read more

I have been taking my kids to see Dr Reisman there for 10 years. The front desk staffs are amazing and the doctors are great. My account is always up to date and never late on payments. This afternoon Tamika from billing department told me my ins would not pay for my kid's last visit and they demanded my payment right the way or they would not see my kid for annual physical check up in two days. This is the most unethical and unprofessional response I ever heard from the healthcare service. read more

If all you need out of your child's doctor is to be seen for well visits then this group may be an ok fit for you. But if at any time your child is sick and you need to speak to a nurse or doctor good luck. It's very unfortunate that this group does not live up to the reputation they once held. Everytime we visit with scheduled appointment the average wait time to see the actual doctor is more than an hour. I am coming here for about 10 months and experience serious wait times. For my next baby I think i will choose another pediatrics. read more

Just moved to Dunwoody from Denver Colorado. The Dunwoody office is less than a mile from our house so I checked out their website beforehand and asked an acquaintance in the area and it seemed a good place to try. My 2 1/2 year old daughter got sick within a week of our move so we went before I had a chance to set up an appt with the doctor we planned on making our pediatrician, and we were able to get in at the end of the day to see Dr. Gfroerer (Dr. G. they call him). He was nice and I felt he did a good job listening to us and was thorough. The front office staff seemed nice and engaging... and that's about it for the positives. Maybe I'm jaded by our amazing pediatrician in Denver but this place was just kind of sad to me. The waiting room for sick kids had nothing but chairs and a table, no toys, no books, no pictures... nothing. The only things cluing you in that it's actually a pediatrician's office and not just some random waiting room was the super dated children's music playing and some colorful chairs. Perhaps the healthy patients are rewarded with toys and books while they wait on the other side of the office? Almost no one enjoys going to the doctor, especially children, so I don't understand why they haven't made effort to make it a more cheerful and less intimidating place for young children. My OB/GYN's office is more inviting to children. The exam room was the same. I think there were maybe two books in there and other than that... looked like a GP doctor's exam room. My daughter has never been afraid to go to the doctor but if we continue with this practice she probably will be. The assistant treated my daughter like she was an enemy combatant when it came time for the strep swab. She made very little effort to acknowledge my daughter, and spoke only to me. She told me to lay her out on the table and restrain her which I thought was a bit aggressive and then she grabbed her by the face and stuck the q-tip swab in the back of her throat. Maybe we were the 1,000th patient she'd seen that day because she sure treated us like it. And the business side is so out of date it's almost quaint. What a pain that they don't accept forms or anything via email, I have to fax everything to them (might as well have a payphone in their office) and their fax number doesn't even work. It's just a very non-creative, inflexible environment which is maybe not ideal if you're in the business of children. read more

I am taking my son here for about a year and a half. It was only now that we got to see the real side of the doctor there when my son was having persistent cough for around 2 months. Dr. Mustafa Quraishi is my son's ped and we have been mislead since 2 months. We went to see him initially when the problem started. That time he sent us back saying its a viral n asked us to wait 2 -3 weeks . The situation got worse n we went back. This time we were told that he is glad we brought him in time. My 2 year old had asthma symptoms or sinus infection he was confused. It's been 3 weeks since then his condition is still the same. We still have no clue what exactly is the problem.
