We had an appointment last weekend for four of us. When we arrived, we had an extra child and were told that we would be required to pay a 12% gratuity because of the size of our party. I'm unsure what the gratuity would be for. We were shown the policy - it said for parties of 6 and up - which we clarified and she said she miscounted. There was no service offered other than a brief training on how to do the craft. We were not allowed to choose our own colors but were encouraged to pick from the ones that were pre-opened to not be wasteful. When we picked our pieces, we were warned many times that we would be charged if we were wasteful in our usage of the clay - and clearly that is a subjective decision. When asked at the end any advice on getting the clay out of clothing, she said "it doesn't" - which would have been helpful to know at the beginning when you have 3 kids under 10. I asked if they had aprons - and mentioned that it would have been helpful if this doesn't come out of clothes - and she said they do, but it's only available for parties and for an extra fee. Again - communication would have been incredibly helpful up front. At the end, we were cleaning up our station and the employee asked us to put away the four remaining beads that were left on the table. It seemed like an easy way for her to help us get out the door more quickly when she had nothing else to do but sit on her phone. At the end she wrote down the dry times for our pieces - 5 days - which again - would have been helpful to know at the beginning. Lastly - they sold some glass cups that our daughters wanted. One was marked $13, one $15 for the same cup. When we asked - she said they were $15, but there is a deal at 2 for $30. Not sure where the deal is in that - and when we made that comment - she shrugged -clearly annoyed. For a unique art place such as this, where creativity and art should be encouraged - there was a very big missed opportunity in making this a special place - I won't be back.

Too bad, it's a nice option to bounce houses, but the customer service is off the charts awful and they are completely disorganized.

Upright had a production camp for her age range, the time of summer that worked for us & price range we had been looking for! She ended up loving the camp! The director of the camp was very communicative, shared pictures, and did an amazing job making the production happen in the 2 weeks that the kids had with the camp. I really liked the program they used to communicate with parents, shared the music files so we had it at home so they could practice, and what the needs they had for costuming. My oldest very much looks forward to taking a class in the fall & possibly auditioning for parts in future productions they have. She has also had an interest in behind the scenes aspects so it will be awesome to see how this theater grows and what classes they offer in the future!

No need to spend lots of money and time to travel to NYC or even Ft Worth or Dallas to see local talent doing a very good job. I was entertained. The production values are great; lighting makeup and especially costumes. With a minimum of props furniture you easily imagine self and characters in the scene be it Max's apartment or jail cell. Feb 2026: 320+ people had the right idea to save money and see a Broadway worthy production of Hunchback of Notre Dame at Courtyard Theatre Plano TX. I counted 30 on stage and am sure many behind scenes and choir up in balcony helped as well. Great production with minimum props and set. Do it all with costumes, great vocals and your imagination. Time and money well spent to watch local thespian display their talent.

My husband and I love and often quote the cult classic film, so I optimistically bought tickets through RCT website for the last weekend the stage production was playing. The theater is tucked into a rarely visited strip mall. There was lots of parking. The entrance lobby was quite plain, but spacious. At the end of the hall, we picked up our tickets at will call. Around the corner was a small concession stand selling cute, small buckets of old, stale popcorn, cookies, soda as well as beer and wine. The theater area has old cinema seats on a raked platform. You could clearly see the stage since the seats were well staggered so you weren't looking at the back of someone's head. Unfortunately , the seats never seem wide enough, and you always find yourself fighting for the shared armrest. At least the bottom cushion was supportive and comfortable. I could have easily sat there through both acts and the intermission. The cast was phenomenal! They sang beautifully, danced with decent precision, strutted around in some amazing costumes while taking us on a near perfect rendition of the actual movie. Lighting and background sets were somewhat limited, but what they had worked great and didn't detract from the show. The comedy was there and they even threw in a few extra jabs at local politicians to the delight of the audience. It appears they focus on some classic theater productions throughout the year. Shows that are known and loved by everyone (White Christmas, Annie, Mamma Mia, etc.). It seems like a winning formula that is working for them. I wouldn't hesitate to come back for another date night.

Both Uptown Players…read moreand Dallas Theatre Center stage plays here in this 600 seat luxurious theater with two small balcony areas on either side of the stage and an upstairs balcony section that seats about 150 additional guests. Seating is comfortable and sight lines are amazing -- not a bad seat in the house. The orchestra section is off to the side so you can see each actor's facial expressions. There's a bar with alcoholic beverages and sodas in additional to light snacks such as candy bars and peanuts. If you're tired of paying $100 to have to use binoculars just to see the stage at DSM Fair Park, you should definitely come check out a show here!

I rather like all the red inside too, but perhaps that is just me. It is very much its own space, and not like any of the modern buildings today. Parking is free, which is a rare find in Dallas these days too. There are concessions, wine, soda, cookies and such, which you can take into the theater with you. The air conditioning was icy cold, which I was happy for! For those that got too chilly, right in the back are blankets available to use! How charming. I'd say every view is a good one here too, no bad seats. I found the chairs more comfortable than the ones at the Wyly Theatre for sure. The play itself was well done, good casting, especially Colonel Brandon, though he did make me think - Willoughby who? *fans self* The revolving stage was a little distracting, but the play itself was lovely as Jane's work almost always is. The actors bounding up the stairs and into the audience was unexpected for this type of play, but worked well, and many of the lines were delivered to much laughter. Austen fans shouldn't miss it!

There were food trucks, live music from local artists (@qiyahabdul did her thingI am now a fan!!), Local Black Business Vendors, live drumming workshop, black art exhibit for the Echoes of Black Sound and No Walls Between Us an exhibit showcasing artists who traveled to Africa to explore connection and culture. It was HOT But, it was a great turnout! I'm glad I got to make it out!! I enjoyed myself!!!
