The three people in charge at select specialty in 2023 are very sick people Emotionally and mentally They abused me and my husband while we were there and I have only terrible things to say about them. I pray that nobody sends their loved one there. They are on power trips the head nurse Jennifer Schenk, the quality control nurse whose name I forgot and the person in charge of the hospital in Durham whose name I also forgot were all terrible. I am happy to give more information to anybody who is interested in hearing more about what took place while my husband and I were there. I feel very strongly that this is a very sick place To Send a sick person or any person for that matter. It is still on my mind very vividly almost 2 years after the experience. My mother was here for rehabilitation after a 9 week stay in the ICU. There are NO fitted sheets…read morefor the beds and no showers to bathe. OT/PT did not come on the weekends and only once per day during the week AFTER we had to get her patient advocate involved. Prior to that it was once every 3-4 days. Every Nurse and CNA were phenomenal but the doctors and therapy staff (excluding RT) left something to be desired. Thankfully though, her will to get out of this place helped kick start her focus and drive to get to where she needed to get out. She was told she would be discharged the next day and when the next day came no doctor knew anything about it. It took her RT to get everything moving with the doctors which shouldn't have been the case, but I'm thankful for her. If it weren't for the amazing CNA's, RN's & RT's I would have rated 0!

Shortly after I was then taken back by an office assistant to a room for vitals and history. Every person I encountered was extremely friendly and welcoming! They all made me feel comfortable and heard, from the lady who buzzed me in and registered me to the moa and np I saw. If I have any issues in the future I will definitely be back.

I have so far paid $214.40 for labs that should have been covered with the copay but the medical coding used was not approved by my insurance. I was assured that if I paid the $214.40 the rest of the bill would be cleared. Yesterday, I received an outstanding bill for $734.89...from 12-31-2020!!! Please be aware of this offices predatory billing practices before you schedule an appointment. There are plenty of Gastroenterologists in the area. Don't waste your time or energy on this office. The parking can be difficult because there are so many people using disabled spots that don't have placards or plates. And there's a long walk from the lot to the clinic area. Add about 10-15 minutes extra to park and walk to and from the clinic. Everything is color coded so it's easy to remember where you're going and coming from.

It's odd to review a hospital but we've been here several times just this year. The first time was…read morefor outpatient surgery, and everything was efficient and professional. The second time was for a CT scan for my wife, and that was relatively quick, even though it was a very long distance from the front entrance. I guess there is a side entrance for outpatient services but nobody mentioned that to us. The third time was an ER visit for my wife. Upon checking in, they got her vitals but then it was several hours before we were called back. The PA who saw us was very professional, but it was odd to have so many different nurses and techs provide services from IV, to x-ray, to labs. They were professional, but again I'm not a fan of so much waiting around. Also, the treatment area was not private at all, basically hospital beds and chairs separated by curtains. We could hear the details of the patients all around us and I suppose they could hear us. More privacy would be appreciated.
