They truly care about your experience, as well as your fur baby needs. They have a great selection of raw dog food and the understanding behind it. This is a no nonsense mom & pop shop that has an amazing selection of the healthiest feed options I've ever come across. After purchasing 5 bags of Dumor pellets from Tractor Supply( they had silver dollar sized moldy clumps in each bag & more than half of the pellets were nothing but useless dust) I've been on the hunt for something more promising. The woman that was working on 8/6 was very knowledgeable about all of the products the shop carries and was able to provide me with loads of information, pamphlets and showed me a chart that's posted on the wall were you can see how much protein is in each feed. For canines, you'll find natural & or organic treat & food options with brands such as N&D and Nature's Logic (neither brand uses artificial preservatives; are GMO free & clearly explain their ingredients). A nice feature is that you can pull around back & they will load up your vehicle for you or order in bulk. The store itself is very clean & has a spacious layout. They also sell a few dog toys and ointments as well. This is a great location for any pet owner who's fur baby has dietary restrictions or would just like to have a healthy diet available for them.

My dad and I drive 25 miles to patronize Hartville Elevator!!!…read more The name is deceiving - they sell feed, grain, seed, fertilizer, feeders, and "cures for what ails your livestock" here. The business has been around for 100 years and they are located in historic downtown Hartville, Ohio. We buy our cob corn here to feed the squirrels in the winter... we buy our fertilizer here for our gardens in the spring... we buy our bird seed here. Whenever we have a question about feed or plants we come to Hartville. We initially came here years ago because the prices on corn were SO LOW! They still have low prices on feed, however the staff/owners are now like old friends to us. One day while my dad and I were there a woman came into the store talking about her chickens who had contracted some type of a cold. Excuse my inexperience with chickens, but what followed was an in-depth scientific conversation between a Hartville Elevator employee and the chicken owner. The worried chicken owner was obviously soothed by the staff and went about her daily business. Remember the Andy Griffith show? That's what it's like when you enter Hartville Elevator. Two pet cats are usually lolling around on shelves hiding beside bags of grain (one is often belly-up begging to be scratched). Daddy always pulls up to the dock outside and opens the tailgate of his Jeep Wrangler... when we say our goodbyes and exit the store our 50 lb bags of feed are snuggled into the back compartment as if by magic. If you want to deal locally - and PAY LESS than other big brand companies - you won't go wrong with Hartville Elevator!

I was referred here by a friend and he did not exaggerate. Aubrey was most helpful in guiding me through the wild bird food according to my daily visitors and even selecting a squirrel feeder to distract them from the bird and chipmunk feeders. Yes, indeed all great and small if they come to my home are well fed and given fresh water. I found that buying bird food in bulk was less expensive than online although when I catch peanuts on sale at Giant eagle, it is actually a better bargain there than here. It is a small space so a line forms quickly, but they take care of their customers with very little wait. Parking is also limited, but no worries, most everyone who walked in the door already knew what they wanted so parking turns over at the blink of an eye. If you love your feathered and furry friends, stop in here for all of your needs.

We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival, which made for a great start to the evening. One thing I really loved was the storefront area when you walk in where you can shop for local foods and craft beers. Such a unique touch that really adds to the farm-to-table experience. We also loved that Medina Brewing Co. is downstairs, so after dinner we headed down for live music and drinks, which made the night even more fun. I ordered the Pear Bleu Cheese Salad with fresh pears, bleu cheese, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, and blackberry balsamic dressing. It was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect balance of sweet and savory. My husband ordered the Southtown Burger with fries featuring a chuck, short rib, and sirloin blend topped with aged cheddar, caramelized onions, local lettuce, and dill pickles. He said it was juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked perfectly. Overall, such a great spot for a relaxed dinner, date night, or evening out with friends. We'll definitely be back!
