What a surprisingly pleasant experience. Great service and great food. My colleague and I wanted to split a salad and had asked for two plates but the server wouldn't let us have it split in the kitchen. Made it sound like he would be yelled at if he did. I've been to this establishment 3 times before today and just had to comment on today's visit for brunch. Service and food were lackluster. I ordered the Bruschetta brunch entree and noticed the dish was missing avocado once it came out. I waited to start eating my dish until we were able to grab our waitress and asked about the missing avocado which she agreed the dish should have had. The manager was sent to the table to let us know that they ran out of avocado and the kitchen didn't let anyone know. So I paid $17 for eggs served over spinach with diced tomatoes and 3 slices of bread. They didn't offer to comp anything off our bill. The other people I was with stated their toast was hard, bacon was overcooked, and meals overall cold. This visit was upsetting as I've had positive experiences every other time. read more

We stopped here after wedding dress shopping with my sister. It came as a recommendation to us. First of all the food was wonderful, I think everyone at our table enjoyed their meal! I could not finish my turkey club I boxed it up and took the rest home! The only downfall was it was pretty loud, not just people conversing but the music seemed oddly loud. We decided to have brunch here, because they offered eggs Benedict. What a disappointment. The first round was delivered with what one would call a practically hard boiled egg yolk. The yolks were so dry that they could've been used as sandpaper to smooth out a piece of rough wood. The manager agreed and took them back to the kitchen and brought a new set. The yolk on the new set was runny, but so was the undercooked white! Also, the English muffin is not toasted. And the prosciutto that they use as the meat was so stringy that you could not cut it with the Dull table knife that they provided you to eat with. The staff was GREAT. Pretty solid spot in Medina! We stopped in on Sunday evening for dinner after walking around the shops in the area and were pleasantly surprised with the vibe. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and the restaurant is connected to a cute market with a meat counter and a bistro too. Their menu is not huge, which I appreciate, and they had a few fall specials as well. Sadly they were out of the squash steak or I would have gotten that, but the acorn squash salad I ordered instead was lovely! My companions ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich and the chicken pot pie and were happy with their choices as well. We also ordered a slice of the zucchini pumpkin bread to share and it was huge! Service was friendly also. My only recommendation is to add more vegetarian options to the regular menu, as the seasonal specials were the only real veg choices I saw. Overall a nice place and good food though! read more

First visit to this new(ish) Medina restaurant. So left to right: 1) smoked deviled eggs. I'm a deviled egg snob and these were top notch. $12 for 6 eggs. I guess earlier this year I would be like WHaAAT? But now - 3 eggs for $12 sounds about right! lol 2) chips were delicious. I'm guessing the ranch was homemade and it was good - it was just too runny. I got half on myself. 3) wings - wings were excellent tasting. Little hard to eat. Only having one sauce - not excellent. (I didn't ask if there were other options so maybe my bad) Also, just for me, I had no idea what Alabama bbq sauce was and I didn't see a description on the menu. Visited one of my favorite local restaurants this evening with the fam. Upon arrival, we were immediately seated. A while passed before our waitress arrived. Once she arrived, she brought water and took our drink orders. I went with an apple pie cider. For dinner, I requested cauliflower wings along with a cobb salad minus the blue cheese. Wifey requested smoked chicken wings and fries while son requested brisket with fries. A regular amount of time passed before meals were delivered. My son's brisket was very dry and basically inedible, although he made a good attempt at eating as much as he could. My wife and I both tasted the brisket and agreed that it was basically inedible. We brought it to the attention of the waitress and she apologized, but did nothing about it. I also pointed out that my salad was served with a massive portion of blue cheese and she quickly replaced the salad. We sat within earshot of another table, which also returned inedible food. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen tonight, but it certainly wasn't proper cooking. Luckily, my salad didn't require much cooking. We overheard our waitress apologizing to other tables as well. The waitress visited after we finished eating and we asked for boxes. Then she disappeared for nearly 20 minutes. When she returned, she brought boxes and apologized for the delay. Luckily, she brought the bill with her. I tipped her, but less than the usual percentage. I really hope this restaurant is able to hire and retain a good staff. Otherwise, we will not be visiting much, going forward. read more

I've been wanting to try this spot for a while and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Korean pork belly as an appetizer and it was sooo good - comes with a jalapeño slaw that has a sesame oil flavor to it and just the perfect amount of kick. I got the pear and blue cheese salad which comes topped with grilled chicken and is served with their house blackberry vinaigrette. Everything in the salad was great but I prefer my salads chopped up a bit more and pre-dressed. My partner ordered the stuffed shells, which were perfectly al dente and the sauce was rich! I've eaten here three times now and have had great service. The food is delicious and adjusts as the seasons do. The staff is friendly, family oriented and engaged. My daughters can be selective when it comes to finding places and food they want or like. However, they had a great time here and ate everything they ordered and were happy and content. I've been here twice now. Tried a few things - pierogis, buffalo cauliflower, deviled eggs, sirloin & mashed potatoes. Everything has been pretty tasty! Inside and outside seating available, parking isn't great. The lot is often full, it's shared with a karate place & apartments. There is parking across the street, but you have to dart across the road as there's no crosswalk immediately in front of the restaurant. You would have to walk down to the light to cross safely. There's a butcher shop, gift shop, a pierogi place, a small market, a bar downstairs and a restaurant upstairs. Like everywhere, the restaurant was short-staffed. Despite that, our server ran her butt off! I hope she's got a Fitbit on and can at least monitor and take pride in the massive amount of steps she obviously accomplishes in a day. But the kitchen was down help as well, so the wait time to get food is long. I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere is great. Lots of big windows, nice lighting, a cool vibe and live music. But the food? Not so hot. The menu is extremely meat centric. There was literally only one item on the menu that had seafood, thus the only thing I would eat. It was a daily special, and I believe it was called the Ohio City Pasta dish. It was supposed to have lobster and some other shellfish, and sounded great in the description, but came out with shrimp only. It was good, but definitely not worth the $36 price tag. My friend ordered the brisket. It came out dry as toast. He almost never sends anything back but could not eat that. So they brought him out some pulled pork instead. It was just ok. This was one of the worst dinners I have had in a long time. I ordered the buttermilk chicken dinner. The chicken was so dry and chewy that I could barely eat it. I have had dinner here before and I must say that everything Is mediocre. My husband always gets the sausage platter and seems to enjoy that. The garlic fries are pretty good but I like to have ranch to dip them in. They charge for a little cup. The tables are so hard to sit at. Let's just say I am disappointed. Went on Sunday June 8th as a pre-Father's Day celebration - 4 of us. The table split the Zucchini pumpkin bread with maple butter. This was very good with a strong pumpkin taste. Note: we got nothing zucchini in there and there was no taste of maple in the butter. Entrees - Eggs benedict: Poached eggs were rock hard so you missed the key to eggs benedict with the yolks running over your items. Chicken and biscuit: the chicken was excellent and probably the highlight of the entire meal. The gravy was chock full of onion pieces (not small dices). Overall, didn't get much taste from the gravy (no pepper taste at all). Biscuit was basic, nothing special and the grits again, were basic, nothing special. Overall, it was a pretty tasteless dish. Also ordered a side of peppered bacon. Not sure what they cost, but it was only 2 strips. Chicken and waffles - looked great. I'd vote this the best entree on the table. Breakfast bruschetta was missing the 2nd ingredient listed on the menu - the avocado. A quick mention to the waitress brought a plate with four thin slices. Personal opinion: pretty paltry to put 4 thin slices on a plate when you forgot the item in the dish. While I didn't ask, based on the way my daughter picked at this dish, I'd guess it was just ok. Did a mimosa flight - mango, strawberry, orange and pomegranate. A nice idea and quite enjoyable. Service was very good, with food arriving promptly. Loved the cuteness/ambiance of the place. Just a lot of "misses" here. Would I return - yes, probably. Why? You said the food had a lot to be desired? It was just a very nice atmosphere sitting in there. And I do feel they could achieve success with the food. However, with many comments below it seems they are not comprehending this. Too bad. And note: I will not be running back by any stretch. Came here on a recent weekend visit to meet-up with friends for a meal. Building and grounds are extensive as it appears there are multiple associated businesses housed under one roof. We were seated near the bar area with an outside view, which was really nice. We did not realize a band was scheduled to be playing that night, couple that with lots of hard surfaces throughout the interior and with their volume turned way up it was nearly impossible to hold a dinner conversation. We bar menu had some interesting (and Fall seasonal) choices so we ordered a few cocktails and chose our meal selections. My drink of choice was just okay...it was a maple bourbon version of an Old Fashioned but was on the sweeter side (more so than I'd expected from a maple cocktail though). For food, my wife and I split and appetizer, then I had one of their "signature" dishes, the fried chicken sandwich. The seafood stuffed mushrooms we shared had a bitey taste due to the finely peppers chopped peppers within. They came inside three large mushroom caps. The buttermilk fried chicken sandwich as my main dish was super thick, but surprisingly dry inside which I was a bit surprised by given the girth. The toasted bun helped keep things together although it still kind of flaked apart as I ate it. I will say their thick-cut fries were perfectly seasoned and delicious. Not sure what to think of this spot, hoping we just caught the kitchen on an "off" night and that many of the other reviews are more spot on than mine. read more

The food is good. The service was ok. The setting was terrible! We had a large group of 10 (including 4 kids) and we're sat right next to a large windows. It was a bright, sunny day. Unfortunately, there was nothing blocking the sun and it beat down on our table the entire time. It was soooo hot and uncomfortable. It was impossible to have a nice experience. I know this sounds petty and small, but the entire group was uncomfortable and ready to leave as soon as we sat down, and it only got worse the longer we sat. All of the tables against the window had a similar experience (holding up menus to block the sun, wearing sunglasses inside, etc...). I mentioned it to the manager and he made an excuse, but didn't address it in any way. He was aware of the problem (sounds like it happens all the time), but mentioned the historical society won't let them put up blinds. He was checking in on oylther tables, but didn't stop by ours. We assumed it was bc he knew the answer (hot and uncomfortable) The servers clearly saw we were not comfortable but didn't address it in any way. (We could have used more water refills bc it was so hot and comfortable, yet they didn't say or do anything). I find it really unacceptable to expect guests to be so uncomfortable without addressing. I don't understand why the management can't find some solution to block the sun. I am sure they could think of something if they cared. I won't go back. I expect a pleasant experience when I pay good money for a meal. We got the opposite of that at the farmer's table! read more

We went on a Wednesday evening and the place didn't seem crowded but there is essentially no parking available, or what space there is to park in is very chaotic. Server was friendly and accommodating for our party of 7. Everyone seemed to enjoy the large selection of beers. Food was just ok for me. We ordered the cauliflower wings to start. They were cooked perfectly but I wish there had been more sauce or flavor. Ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich with fries. Chicken was juicy and I liked the tang of the pickles. I wish there had been more of the other toppings. Fries were pretty bland. However, the star of the show was the chocolate peanut butter cake. So good and would recommend!
