I've worked with dozens of swing coaches over the years, and I've never met anyone with more golf expertise than Jason. His scientific understanding of the golf swing is unparalleled. After evaluating my swing with the most advanced technology, he was easily able to pinpoint exactly what needed to be changed with my swing. He then provided me with very straightforward and simple drills that I could work on at home or at the range to make the changes become second-nature very quickly. The golf swing is incredibly complex, but the team at Peak Golf Fitness has somehow made it very simple and repeatable for me. As an unexpected benefit, he also helped me identify the muscular imbalances that were causing my lower back pain, and he gave me a handful stretches and exercises to do at the gym, which have been incredibly effective in curing my lower back pain. Absolutely love the fairways and rough ain't bad either. Love the nice chunk of fairway that you can take out if you hit your irons well. We make sure we fill our divots after every shot. Bunkers are nicely maintained with soft sand as well. The drainage system is one of the best in the area. It had rained over night and until our tee time, but the course did not feel like it had rained. Kudos to the course architect and grounds keepers for doing a great job. Greens were so true to the speed of hour putt. Neither too fast nor too slow. Overall, it was a great day to play this course.

I met a few buddies at Needwood a couple weekends ago for morning 7:15am round. It was a beautiful…read moremorning to be out golfing (but isn't every morning)! The check in process for the round was quick and easy - we paid about $85 a piece for 18 holes + the cart. We checked in with the start a few minutes before our tee time and we were sent along on our way to the first tee. Got to like an on time start. Prior to our first tee, we had some time to warmup on their practice putting and chipping greens. They have one green that allows putting and chipping and a second smaller green closer to the clubhouse that is putting only. I wouldn't say either green is large enough for a full practice session with multiple people using them but for a few swings to prep before an early round they worked great. The course itself was in solid condition - the fairways and greens were even and well kept. The level of difficulty was solid for a group of intermediate golfers. And the cart paths were well kept and pretty easy to follow. Overall, I'm not sure the course warrants an $85 price tag - I've played at similar quality of courses for half the price but maybe that's what I get for booking at a peak time on a Saturday. If I return (which I would) I'd book an evening round and enjoy the evening rates which seemed to be in the $40 range; I think that's more on par with the quality of the course and it's amenities.

After some research, I thought @GolfHouse would be a great first experience for him since they offer junior coaching and it's similar to a video game. When I emailed them with questions, they were the most quick and complete in response than any of the other Ashburn area courses. At this point we're 3 sessions in. Coach Ju Hee is very professional and confident, but has just the right style to keep my 10 year old engaged. In each session she has walked the line effectively between correcting swing issues and helping him understand how the game works, while also keeping it fun and engaging for him, which is probably the most important part at this point. The sessions involved 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of free time in the bay which I'll sometimes use to take a few swings with my son. So far, this seems to be the right mix. Coach also shared the before/after swing photo I posted from session 2. While I'm not sure if other local coaches have this type of tech, I think this is a significant advantage because of the real-time feedback and insight it gives her into exactly what is happening. It's also great for us to see the progress he's making. Overall, I definitely would recommend @GolfHouse and Coach Ju Hee for lessons. At some point I'll probably book a bay with some of my friends who are more serious golfers during a lesson and see what they think about it.

We did not know what to expect and left with a great workout, fun experience, and my wife, 4 year old daughter, and I all interested in golf. First off, the staff was amazing! Marquis has been golfing since he was 6 and gave us some quick tips that immediately improved our swing. They also had great cocktails and food and we loved having a private room where we could play music, watch the game, and play and learn at our own pace. They have multiple games including a driving range, courses, and a game where you aim at monsters (which our daughter really enjoyed). The staff provided great recommendations on each game. We immediately signed up for a subscription- the prices were really reasonable, hours are accommodating, and we envision going on our own to practice, bringing our daughter (she's been asking to go back), or going with friends. This would also be a lot of fun for corporate events or team building even if you don't golf and we are looking forward to bringing our teams in the near future. Fun, great for many audiences, and an amazing resource for improving your game!

A Game-Changer Experience with Mike Dickson, PGA Pro…read more I decided to work with Mike Dickson during the winter months from November 2024 to April 2025 with a clear goal in mind: get tournament-ready for women's golf competitions. From day one, Mike took me back to the fundamentals--grip, stance, and swing. I quickly realized the importance of consistency every time I addressed the ball. As the weeks progressed, he incorporated swing analysis data and identified key areas for improvement. One major breakthrough was recognizing that I wasn't properly shifting my weight. Once I learned to feel that shift, we moved on to refining my swing plane, making it more shallow and efficient. Each session built upon the last, and with Mike's expert guidance, I was able to create new standards and lock them into my muscle memory. His approach is not only technically sound but also personalized and empowering. Thanks to Mike, my driving distance increased from an average of 158 yards to 185 yards. I picked this place to surprise my husband with a Father's Day activity. This was both of our 1st visit. Our boys had been at least twice by now. It's a nice big facility, with plenty of parking, clean premises, plenty of space to still social distance whether mandated or not. We all had so much fun and the food was so good! We were assisted by Jordan and Shae who were pretty awesome. We were up on bay 307, I forgot I'm scared of heights when I requested that high bay. My family enjoyed it, that was all that mattered to me. Please believe I will be down on the 1st or 2nd floor next time! We had a great time and I look forward to returning again sooner than later! On 3.28.2026 We were assisted by Josh at our bay who was pretty awesome. He was very humble, consistent, and pleasant. We ordered Green Tea Shots, Hot Toddy, Wings, Burger, and a Chicken Sandwich. My company wanted to do something social…read morefor our office as we would in any normal year, but wanted to do something safely outside since it was during Covid. In October 2020, we went to a golf course in Columbia not far from our office. One week earlier I wanted to practice swinging a golf club. My friend who lives in Germantown met up with me one day after work. They have cheaper rates during the week. It's beautifully laid out to hit balls, and I got decent practicing my swing and was mostly hitting the ball pretty straight. Topgolf prepared me to be not quite so bad at the golf course during our work event. I visited Topgolf again on a Saturday night in November 2024. My girlfriend & I had an event in Clarksburg area as well as dinner over there. We weren't terribly interested in what they were doing afterward. I could meetup with a different friend than the one in 2020 to hang out, which he was actually game for. We settled on meeting up at Topgolf not for golfing but other stuff they have there. We played pool, fooseball. and had drinks. Bartender was nice, and the drinks were delicious. Pool tables were nice too. I'm glad we came up with this idea to go here.
