4/17/25 Getting lunch to share. Ordered on DoorDash. Convenience! Ordered 1 meat plate & 2 meat plate! Each gets BBQ Chicken, pork ribs, split & share each side. Paid for it and it said when it would be ready. Go to get! Arrived, checked in and they didn't receive the DoorDash order until checking it when I walked in. Said they would get to making it and bring it to the car when it was ready. He did, after a few and was very kind! Said enjoy! =D Grill is very nice inside. They have an outside covered area too! Lunchtime! Order split! BBQ chicken was DELICIOUS. GREAT flavor, seasoning and tender. Rib was tender and DELICIOUS too! Corn had Great flavor! Beans were seasoned, cheesy & Tasty! Fantastic potato salad! Flavorful! Mac N cheese was cheesy & GREAT! Mother said her lunch was Really Great! She said she loved the taste of the chicken and how it was boneless and pointed out the corn on the cob 1/2 was GREAT! A lot of leftovers too! Good service & GREAT lunch! Amazing atmosphere with amazing BBQ!!! Service is outstanding! With a good vibe! I'm glad Madera has a spot like this now, it's about time... no need to go to "More than just the Tip" when you have great BBQ place like this that's open every day. The lady at the counter was very kind and helpful. We paid $60 for two people (not including tip). We chose the two meat combo. Tri tip and pork ribs. The tri tip was sliced thin and came with a raspberry sauce. We picked Mac and cheese and potato salad. The potato salad was the best, tasting freshly made. The environment was that of a bar. They appeared to be setting up a dj or band. There were a couple of families there too with young children. The food was good. Ribs smelled like they had been smoked. They checked on us a couple of times for service. You pay first, then eat. read more

I was excited to try this place, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet my expectations. We ordered the loaded potatoes with pulled pork and extra butter and one with ribs, but they lacked flavor. The potato itself didn't seem seasoned, and the pulled pork was slightly overcooked and there was almost no butter or sour cream. For the price, I expected more toppings, but they were pretty sparse. The mac and cheese was also underwhelming--it had a bland taste and was topped with what looked like nacho cheese, which didn't quite work for me. Overall, I was hoping for more bold flavors, especially for this style of food. Hoping they can make some adjustments because the concept has potential! read more

We didn't have high hopes as we walked in and didn't see or smell any smokers. The food was not good. The tri tip was dry and barely had a smoke ring, I wouldn't be surprised if it was store bought pre marinaded. The Italian sausage wasn't terrible but was very deformed and dry, most likely store bought. Bean chili was bland and beans were chalky. I didn't hate the potato salad, the mustard base gave it some flavor. At the table we also had pork ribs, bad, and fried corn, bad. The loaded pulled pork fries were not appetizing, the only edible parts were those covered in cheese. Other than that the ice was cold and the coke was coke. read more

I walked in with a hungry tummy and the need to fill the void. I wanted ribs. The owner recommended the two meat plate and it was good!! It was lunch time, so it was chill and the vibes were mellow. Went out on a Friday night for a girls night, as soon as we entered the smell of the food was enticing! It wasn't packed considering the time and day we went. I ordered the chicken plate with 2 sides. For my sides I chose Mac n cheese and chili beans, both of which tasted homemade. The chicken was flavorful and marinated well. Overall the food exceeded my expectations! The decor was definitely giving country vibes as they had country music in the background playing as we ate. The bar was cute next to a pool table and the bartender was nice, they even offer mocktails for those who are sober! Definitely will go again! read more

Oh boy, where do I start.. on my way north out of Fresno and my go to barbecue spot was closed so I thought I'd give this place a shot. Won't make that mistake again... customer service, absolutely wonderful, nice friendly, helpful... checks all of the boxes. But the food... I ordered a four meat plate with double tri-tip and double ribs and I've never seen tri-tip from a restaurant that looked like it was sliced for a sandwich and then fried in a pan. Also, I think maybe the ribs were boiled and then thrown on a grill or a smoker or something not a whole lot of flavor that wasn't rendered properly, real disappointment.. potato salad there I say possibly store-bought I would bet on it. I will give them credit for the fried corn on the cob best part of the meal... walked in and kind of figured it looked more like a bar... Than a barbecue. I'm not trying to be harsh. I went in thinking it was just a bar with alcohol. I was incorrect. A guy at the bar gave me a menu to look the food and I choose Tri tip fries and a 3 piece ribs. I LOVED IT. It was amazing ! The owner of the place was very kind and humble. I 100% will go back and try out the menu more. read more

We tried out the Dusty Barrel today at lunchtime. The owner and his wife were so friendly and our group will definitely eat there again. 4 of us had the tri tip sandwich and it was so tender and filling. The special sauce was delicious! 2 of our ladies had the loaded baked potato with pulled pork and 3 toppings. It was so big, they both took leftovers home to enjoy for dinner.
