We stopped by Sapore D'Italia while we were in town for cheer camp, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The restaurant has such an elegant atmosphere with beautiful chandeliers throughout and a gorgeous bar area that gives it an upscale feel while still being warm and inviting. Since it was Friday, I couldn't pass up the clam chowder, and it was absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken piccata with mashed potatoes, and it was cooked perfectly with incredible flavor. My daughter had the chicken Alfredo with broccoli and loved every bite. We finished the meal with the berry cobbler topped with ice cream, which was the perfect ending. Our waitress was amazing.... so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel welcome and gave excellent recommendations. We enjoyed our experience so much that we came back the very next night! This time I had the prime rib, and it was to die for!!! perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. We couldn't leave without trying the brownie à la mode, and it was every bit as delicious as it looked. The establishment that was there before had pretty good Italian food. Not the best, but pretty good. Now, with the new owners it's just mediocre. Judging by some of the comments being left, I should've gone months ago. Sounds like it was better at that time than when I was there. As far as quality of service, they do go overboard. Wow! Amazing service...felt so cared for! I love Lobster Bisque...very few times have my expectations been met...It was met! So great, can't wait to come back for more. Impeccable quality! I can't believe that this is located in Madera. Quality of a fine dining restaurant. Service is some of the best I have ever received. Comparable to the Five in Fresno, yet prices are very affordable given this economy. Saul and Maria are amazing with their customer service. I can't get enough of this place! They greet you as if you were family, and will give the same service whether you are wearing a suit or sweats. Sister company to Epazote in Madera which serves exceptional Mexican cuisine. What a gem. My wife and I had dinner at Sapore and it was a wonderful experience. Food was tasty, cocktails were cold and refreshing. Limoncello Spritz was fantastic thanks to Maria. Music and ambiance in the restaurant put you in a good mood. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be having a good time. Service is excellent. Maria, Saul and Angie are the best. We ordered take out last night and were very delighted by the great quality and taste of the food we received. I was particularly interested in the penne with meat sauce. I was eager to try it so I wouldn't have to drive to Fresno for it. There is not one restaurant that I have found that serves meat sauce in Madera. You'd think DiCicco's would, but nope. Gabriella's did but I wasn't what I was looking for. I was so happy with the taste and texture of this dish! Close to perfection! The portion was large enough and had plenty for small a leftover meal! My son had the salmon with rice and he loved it! It was served with a delicious butter lemon sauce on the side. My husband had the caesar salad and said it was great! I will also mention that we loved their bread too! Overall fantastic dinner. There was even an employee from Gabriella's there working at this new restaurant! It was nice to see a familiar face in a fresh new environment! We are excited about our newest restaurant neighbor and can't wait to try more menu items!! read more

Ambiance is great, service great, food... not so much. I've heard great things about all the Italian pasta dishes and bread. With my strict diet, I can only indulge in meat/salad dishes. Unfortunately, the meat dishes are severely lacking. Steak was well done when asked for medium rare, no flavor. Chicken is beat with a mallet until paper thin and completely overcooked. I've tried this place four times and the meat is never cooked right. My advice: Stick to pasta if you can, and if you can't, dont waste your money. read more

This was truly 10/10. Food was delicious, the waiters were always checking to see if we had enough to drink and overall great customer service. Lentil Soup (soup of the day) was so good. Cioppino was delicious and the Trio Ravioli was nicely cooked and flavorful. We could not help ourselves and ordered Bread Pudding for dessert, it was awesome! Will definitely dine here again. I had the penne bolognese tonight. It was delicious. The sauce was very meaty with a bit of spice so it was flavorful and not bland. The portion was generous. (I should have taken a pic but I forgot.). My friend had the linguini with clams. She liked it very much. The servers were extremely nice.
